It was our groups 1st escape room. None of us declares ourselves clever. However, we were each able to offer our own individual insight into figuring out the clues. I do wish the clues had a little more to do with each other. In some ways it was like a Scooby Doo episode where they unmasked the villain and the villain wasnt even a character previously introduced. The room may need some touch ups with newer locks, glow paint message was unreadable, crossword needs to be re-outlined, and the pre instruction could use some re working. Overall, the experience was a fantastic time. I love that the story was a local well known legend. Its a great way to bond with friends, or a team building experience.

I took my 9 and 12 year old boys for my older ones 12th birthday. It was just the 3 of us. I had sent an email from their contact list on their website, just a few hours ahead of time, because I didnt know if there were age restrictions ... They responded almost immediately and answered my questions. Then, I went to book the tickets but I had to pay with two different cards. After I cashed out the first 2 tickets, I attempted to use another card to get the 3rd one, but it said that the room was closed...
and Id need to choose a different room. I called the number on their website and left a message, and got a text reply again, almost immediately, and they let me know that it was just a default thing that their system does, and that I could pay for any additional people once we arrived at the location. Then I got a phone call from another employee suggesting that we try a different quest, as they had seen that we were going to do their Disease X room, and that was actually the most difficult one they have, and seeing as how I was just bringing the two boys and myself, and none of us had done an escape room before, we might want to try a different one that was a little less challenging. I agreed and they took care of all the details. We arrived about 5 minutes late and were greeted at the door by our host Dan (?) He was awesome and super helpful. We were the only ones there (we picked a late night time slot) and we had so much fun. I will be coming back and I will recommend this place to any adult friends, and parents who have kids age 9 and up. It really was a nice little quality time adventure with my boys. The staff was phenomenal and I couldnt have had a better experience!! If I could give more stars I would!!!

Had a wonderful time. If you want to support a local business this is perfect. So much time and thought was put into this family run escape room. Fun rooms with local history mixed into the story. Highly recommended.

Did 3 rooms because of how both well designed and challenging they are. 10/10 would recommend.

Did the Lair in the peaks and it was a blast. We try to visit a new place each time we come to town and this was a lot of fun. FYI it is in the airport business park and no sign on the building. It s worth going to.

Went on my sons school field trip to here and we all had a blast. The kids enjoyed it and said they would love to go back and figure out the other rooms.

We did the Gold Rush room with 3 kids and 3 adults to celebrate my daughters 9th birthday. It was a great room for beginners who had never done an escape room before. There were fun surprises and interesting clues. The room was magically immersive to the kids (the adults enjoyed it too). Our guide Josh worked well with the kids, gave us space to have fun solving the clues, and jumped in with help when we were clearly stuck. All of us had a wonderful time!

Absolutely amazing!!! We were so close! This is our second time here. This time we tried the hardest room in Rochester, Disease X, and we were literally one more puzzle away from escaping! Highly recommend!!! Thanks again!

My friends got me into escape rooms and since then we have been going to one almost every other weekend. Locked was my first experience with escape rooms and since then I have completed every room they have to offer. Overall I love this company and they offer rooms that are fun to complete but the last room I completed may be the last I do with them. On 2 previous occasions we had booked the gold rush room. Both times upon arrival we were told a prop in the room was broken and we were...
prompted to do another room, one time we even called beforehand to check if it was running and were told yes only to find it really wasnt. Mind you there were weeks in between. This was fine though because we enjoyed the other rooms instead. After running out of rooms to do we only had one left, many weeks had past so it had to have been fixed by now based on the timeline they told us. We tried calling multiple times the day we booked to see if it was finally up and running because we would have no other options if it was not. After multiple attempts no one answered, a little frustrated we booked anyways. A little later we finally got a response and were told we would be called back with a confirmation. We didnt receive that call back until like 20 minutes before our reservation and the main take away was basically to just get there early so we can start. We were already a little annoyed and rushed but we went none the less. Upon arrival we were rushed through the pre room talks and put into the room. The room was super easy as we were told after that it was a beginner room, we had already completed the harder ones. This was totally fine though because it just meant that we would really be able to solve it without any clues. We were so upset because not even 5 minutes would pass and we would be given clues like candy. We were basically walked through the whole entire room when not one of us ever asked for a clue to begin with, I didnt have to use my brain at all. After this we were all just in shock of our experience, I felt so robbed and that it was not worth the money. After all of the troubles just to get there and that be the outcome was a huge let down. I get that this experience might be very specific and not apply to everyone but I would suggest to not allow people to signup for rooms that arent running and to not push people through rooms just because we were the last reservation for the night...it was only 7pm. Honestly in the moment I would have rated even lower than 3 starts but in general I still enjoyed the other rooms for the most part. Sadly the odds arent high that we will be returning for any future rooms :(

My fiancé, my teenage daughter and myself decided to go to locked because we had never played an escape room before. We choose their newest room called gold rush. The gold rush room was so cool it felt as if we were in a gold mine searching for answers. Going in I thought we were all going to kill each other so I was a little nervous being locked in a room and trying to work together to get out. To my surprise we all worked very well together and escaped the room with time left !! We loved locked...
a Rochester escape room so much we came back the next day to do another one of their rooms called lair in the mountains. This one was also well decorated I felt as if we were really stuck in a cabin trying to escape a killer. Again we all worked so well together and we re able to solve the clues to escape!! We can t wait to go back to Locked and play more of their rooms!! If you re looking for some family fun I definitely recommend Locked a Rochester escape room !!!

10/10 experience, we did the lair in the peaks and the room was set up very nicely, made you really feel like you were in a cabin in the woods. We got out with 3 minutes to spare.

Thad an amazing experience at this escape room! The worker was outstanding. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. His enthusiasm and guidance added a special touch to the adventure. I cant wait to come back and tackle more rooms.

What a riot that was! Our first time, so it was challenging, but we barely made it in time. Cant wait to do it again.

My family and I have done several of the escape rooms here and thoroughly enjoy them. The staff is great, and we particularly appreciate the way these games are tailored to be Rochester-specific. We ll be back!

We did the Lair in the Peaks room, and it was definitely fun! There were some unique puzzles, and a well dressed room. There are a couple of things that stopped us giving 5 stars, which is a shame as they would be so easily changed (and I hope by giving this review they may change!). For instance, some atmospheric sounds / music would really add to the ambience. There are a couple of other things too, but I dont wish to spoil what is still a fun game. If the company is reading this, please feel free to reach out and Im happy to mention the other specifics. Still a fun game, and a good time!

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Casino Heist Escape Room and I must say, it was an absolute blast! This escape room was challenging, engaging and truly one of the best Ive ever experienced. The attention to detail in the design of the room was remarkable, making it feel like we were actually attempting to pull off a heist in a high-end casino. The puzzles and challenges were well thought out and required us to use our critical thinking skills and work together as a team to solve...
them. What really set this escape room apart from others Ive tried was the level of difficulty. It was definitely a challenge, but it never felt impossible. Every time we solved a puzzle, it was incredibly satisfying and kept us motivated to push forward. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they did an excellent job of setting the scene and providing us with the necessary information to begin our heist. Overall, the Casino Heist Escape Room was a fantastic experience that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and challenging activity with friends or family. If youre looking for an escape room that will truly test your skills and provide an unforgettable experience, look no further than the Casino Heist Escape Room. Its a five-star experience all around!

I did the escape room today with my sister and we had such a fun time! This is my fifth time doing an escape room from Las Vegas to Florida to New York and this was such a positive experience. Brendan was so friendly, welcoming and explained everything clearly prior to starting. Brie was the lovely voice helping us with nudges & clues who I couldn t be more appreciative of. I am definitely going back. Whether it s your first time or tenth, this is definitely a place to try! Amazing is an understatement.

We booked the Lair in the Woods a few hours before for my husbands birthday and were very happy they accommodated us! The owner is so nice, we had a nice chat with him before/after. We have done alot of escape rooms over the years but none in Rochester and thought this one rivaled the best ones for sure! I loved that it had a local theme (cabin in the Adirondacks). They have many rooms, so we will definitely be back to try more!

White Lady Castle was fun-ish. Almost all of the clues were inside locks though, which is fine but kind of repetitive. But it was a cool story! Definitely not worth the 31$ we also finished with 16 minutes left. If you are going to spend the money, I recommend less people (we were a group of 9) since the room was really small. Also, there s probably a lot of 5 star reviews because they ask people to leave a review for a raffle I feel like that kinda makes people choose 5.

Brought a group of friends here and it did not disappoint! Overall a great experience with pretty tough puzzles and the whole group had an awesome time. Kudos to Josh for dealing with us and we will definitely be back!!

Spent the day doing most of the rooms and all of them are great but the creativity and work that went into asylum is truly incredible.
