Went for the first time with a group of four friends. It was a lot of fun! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the mystery was engaging without being too easy or so difficult we felt rushed to solve it. I would definitely go again to try one of the other puzzles.
What a great adventure! This is not your typical escape room, in all good ways. My family and I had so much fun on the Intrigue Express, and our animator Liam added to the positive experience. We enjoyed our time exploring the whole space and all its rooms. We cant wait to go back. Well done!
A great escape room/puzzle adventure for all ages without a doubt! The manager Liam was very friendly, interactive, and overall great. This adventure place offers many different puzzles to choose from that range from short to long running times. Each section offers a unique look. Come try this out with a group of friends or family and you will have a fun time and want to try more. I highly recommend this place. Everything inside was created by team members who are continuing to work on even more puzzle ideas!
I have lived in Syracuse well before this place opened and had never checked it out. Finally this past Friday myself, my 19 year old, and 15 year old went. We did just a 30 min prologue to see if it was fun and OMG we had a blast! We have already started planning our next adventure there!
Our third time there and the first as a whole family. We love it. The curators are awesome characters and deeply integrate you into your chosen story. Every visit is different and in my opinion, they make it as easy or difficult as your group wants it to be. Today we had two adults and three kids between 7 and 11. The adults were genuinely stumped, it was tricky but we got it in end! Dr. Raz might be my favorite curator! Very covid safe!!
Amazing place. Ive dine every single puzzle except 2 or 3 of them. They have a really awesome staff and all of the puzzle/mystery games were well put together and set up. We will definitely visit again. Thank you!
Definitely the best escape-room type place Ive ever done. I love the interactiveness between different rooms. Easily the most fun Ive had yet. I highly recommend and the staff was helpful and fun too! Update: Went a second time yesterday and was even more fun than the first time. The staff are fun and make the experience even more enjoyable. Liam was extremely nice and helpful! I will definitely be returning many more times in the future. No escape room comes close to how good this place is.
My husband & I went here as part of a bigger 40th birthday weekend celebration, & we were so glad we did it. We did a 2 person, beginner challenge & at first I wasnt sure Id like it because Im not great at puzzles, but I had a blast. The staff was super enthusiastic & friendly, the sets in which the puzzles take place are well done, & it was just plain fun. We will definitely be going back, with a larger group, to do a different challenge.
Ive only done one of the stories so far, but I had a blast doing so. The staff (Liam especially) was friendly, fun, and helpful. Stories can be done alone or witb a group. Great experience and cannot wait to be back!
This is a different type of escape room because its not a room - its a collection of rooms with several games going at once with everyone looking for different clues based on your symbol and previous clues. Weve finished escape rooms before but this one was hard because it was more like a scavenger hunt for items, with some stages giving you numbers for locks, and others giving you clues to other types of combinations, which I was happy it wasnt just locks like one of the other escape...
rooms in the mall. We did a 30 min game but were in there 45 min and only finished with hints from the actor guide and some... crafty shortcuts... otherwise we actually only did 2/3 of the game. But we felt accomplished and had a good time. Plus its wheelchair accessible and has bathrooms and places to lock up your belongings inside. Its worth a try for at least one game to see how you do and you dont need reservations. Dont be afraid to ask for help if youre getting frustrated!
I had no idea what to expect but this place was awesome! We did the treasure chest 30 minute prologue. There are many challenges happening at a time but your story has hints for just your game. It s sort of like an escape room but you get to use the whole museum instead of one specific room so you need to look around more but the clues are a bit easier than a regular escape room. It was especially fun as the employees take part and make it more interactive. Shoutout to Liam for being a great pirate/game host/everything. Also, the story should take about the time listed but there is no time limit so you get to finish even if it takes longer than you think. Will definitely be going back!
Creative concept, exciting game play, incredible staff. These are just a few superlatives I can think of about Intrigue & Co. The environments are incredibly immersive, the games are very detailed and span across the entire museum. They really make you think and use your grey matter.
Youth and adults we have taken here love it. We like it more than similar activities because you arent timed, you work with just your group, story lines are imaginative and puzzles/quests are challenge but not impossible. Staff very helpful too!!
Came here twice, ready to come a third time. There are so many challenging puzzles and interesting stories. This is a hands-on team building experience as you navigate your way through their stories and help sove a problem. This is a great stop at the mall, I recommend it over 5 wits. They even offer discounts like military and student!
We were not sure what to expect. Liam was great and it was so much fun.
We went for the 2nd time with a group of kids and they had the best time. The staff are always amusing and helpful and the stories are so much fun. They had fun going through the entire place looking for clues. Well definitely be back again.
Loved the place, The story was good and my kid and I absolutely loved it. Staff was super friendly and in character making it so much better. The environment was welcoming and cozy. We felt at ease exploring the place. 12/10 would recommend to anyone with a kid looking for adventure.
My first time in an escape/puzzle room and it was a PHENOMENAL experience. Liam and Lisa were incredible. They were so friendly, kind, absolutely HILARIOUS, and energetic!! My group did the train robbery one. It was so fun putting all the pieces together. Nothing was TOO difficult where you re like oh screw this but difficult enough to where you d have to put some deep thought into it and know eventually you d get to the right place. I d absolutely do that again. Can t recommend this place enough. I thought I wasn t a big puzzle/escape room person and I think I have to change my opinion now.
An obvious passion project by the staff, this is a legit fun for all ages place. High recommend for both people experienced with escape rooms and those who are new to the concept. It s heartwarming that places like this have been able to come back after lockdown.
First time here. Ive done many escape rooms over the years. The set up of this caught me off guard but soon sound myself so excited to begin. Cornelius was our guide, unsure if its his real name or stage name, regardless of that he was AMAZING! So patient and helpful, even with a full house. We will be back for sure!
I tried this place out last year. I was visiting a friend in the area, and neither of us had been to the MOI before. The 2 of us loved it so much That we came back the next day, and brought 4 others (they also enjoyed it). The puzzles aren t the most challenging things ever, but that makes it fun for anyone. The atmosphere, intertwined rooms, and great staff make this my favorite escape room type place. It s a shame I live 10 hours away
Absolutely amazing! Had my husbands 40th birthday here. Everyone had fun, even the aunts and uncles who are definitely not into this kind of thing. My MIL is asking when she can visit so we can go again. Love it, love them. 10/10. Absolutely will do again.
I went with my department at work for a team building day. It was SO much fun! Liam and Gomez were our hosts, and they did a phenomenal job. The mysteries are exciting to solve together, and theyve put together some really unique and unexpected surprises throughout each experience. I plan on coming back with my family, our 9yo included. A wonderful experience, I highly recommend it for literally anyone!
The Museum of Intrigue is such a fun spot! My family has had only positive experiences there and we make sure to go every time we visit Destiny USA. Every staff member is outgoing and giving 1,000%. And the stories are a blast! What has prompted me to write a review this time is the experience that we had when we went on March 15th. My son wanted to re-do an adventure that hes done before. I was completely amazed when, at the end of our visit, the gentleman told me that he would not charge us since we had already done that particular story before. This was very generous of him and is just one of many examples of the Museums commitment to customer service. We cant wait for our next visit!
REFRESHING! INNOVATIVE! FUN! Not a traditional escape game company but rather an entertainment experience with escape room elements intertwined. Imagine an open world video game with online players (other teams) playing separate missions at the same time. It may not sound like your cup of tea but man was it a cool experience. We played 7 experiences and forgive me if I get the names wrong. The Haunt The Witch Game The Toymaker BFF The Lab The Pirate Game The Clue type game We want to return from Canada to play the rest. Give this place a try, the concept is unique and a welcome break from traditional escape games.
We loved it! So fun. The staff is amazing. In full character the whole time. They are fun and really make the experience enjoyable. We went last weekend and loved it so much did another one this weekend. Cant wait to go again. It a fun time for the family, couples or friends. Kinda wish we hadnt waited so long to check it out!
The staffs here are nice, I like the overall setting. You would like this place if you like solving puzzles and don t mind walking around a lot.
Highly recommend! It s everything you love about escape rooms without the annoying time constraint. There is also a lot more interactive rooms/places, puzzles and storylines with extraordinary characters like Liam there to help if needed. Definitely worth your time and money.
We visited on a whim while waiting for a dining reservation. We were totally unaware of what Museum of Intrigue was, and stopped to ask the staff out of sheer curiosity. Lisa animatedly explained they offer an immersive interactive play space to solve mysteries, and have adventure. We chose a 30 minute treasure hunting scavenger style adventure, and dove in head first! At the start it felt awkward, but after relaxing a bit we were able to find the clues we needed to complete our objective. We had loads of fun, and even came out of our shells a bit. It took us about an hour, being the first time we had ever played. My husband affectionately referred to it as picking up a side quest. Just remember, Gomez is a Spaniard not a scurvy pirate!
Best escape-esq room we have ever done! Actors were very entertaining (Liam is AWESOME!). Great fun, so much space to find clues. Unbeatable value. Please open in Cincinnati!
