Escape the Mystery Room Syracuse

Gerard the game master associate made the whole game worth it. A heck of a personality. DEFINITELY worth the time spent doing it with my grandson because of him.

We had a good time at Escape the Mystery room at Destiny Mall in Syracuse. We ended up attempting the Escape from Alcatraz. We were unable to complete this and did not get out in the 60 minutes. This was definitely harder than we thought it would be and see that it has a low success rate. We definitely over thought some of the clues, which kept us stuck for a long while. Read full review life and next thing I know knew there was 7 minutes left. I think we could have gotten further if we had 90 minutes, maybe then more people would be successful at these rooms. We did not know anything about the green screen to take pictures at. A friend of mine asked me about it at work and we had no idea, that would have been fun to do after we were done. I feel the prices are a little steep for children to be the same amount as adults. We had 3 kids with 2 adults, 13, 12 and 10. I think that 15 and under should be half of the cost of an adult as $30 for children/teens is a bit too expensive. We will probably go back, however, we will try something different. We wanted to complete a different adventure, however, the one we wanted was closed down due to a leak in the ceiling - no fault of the escape room company, the building just needed to be repaired.

It was really fun. We did the zombie apocalypse room. Beware tho, the last lock is a little bit harder to open, you have to pull on it a bit harder which we didn t do. Besides that tho it was challenging and fun. Thanks Kate for the helpful hints.

We solved the escape room! Dante was great! We asked for way too many hints and he was so nice everytime he came in to help us! 10/10 recommend!

Maven was very nice, we had a fun and appropriately frustrating time. We did Sherlock s Library and it was more collating information than solving puzzles. Everything led to the next clue, the room was well lit, the time was likely appropriate to solve the mystery. Would go back!

We (11 year old son and I) had a great experience in the Black Ops mystery room! The puzzles were fun and challenging. Erin was great about demonstrating all the lock types before we started and giving us an overview of the room. Hints were available, but we did not use any. We enjoyed it so much that we plan to go back and try some of the other rooms!

Gerard did a great job! He was super welcoming and then super helpful for the couple times we needed clues! We had a great experience and will be coming back!

So much fun! And maven was absolutely fantastic! I would come again just for her! Incredibly welcoming and friendly and the rooms are challenging but approachable. 10/10 will come again

Maven was great! A lot of fun and helpful! There was a bunch of other guests and Maven was alone and kept it together like a champ.

Had a fun time with the Houdini room! Cait was an awesome host, really chill and nice! The room was easier than we thought but we did need a hint on just one part.

It was fun and an interactive experience for all members of your party. We enjoyed it a lot. We finished the main quest with 20 minutes to work on the master challenge. Price seems a little high for the overall experience. You re in one room like a cubicle set-up of rooms and you can hear other groups in the next room.

My wife and I did the zombie apocalypse room and it was great. It was challenging but fun and doable. Highly recommend. We have come several times before and definitely recommend coming.

I had a decent experience overall. If there is one comment, it would be there should be more kid-friendly rooms. Or maybe a kid version of some existing rooms. I went with 4 kids ages 10-12 and they hard a hard time figuring out most of the clues. Im sure we wore out the staff with the number of time we buzzed for them, but even after being led to one clue the next one wasnt self-evident most of the time. They didnt even get through half of the game before they ran out of time.

My family and I had a fantastic time! We did the Zombie room and it was definitely a challenge! We will surely be back to try other rooms! The staff was amazing and helpful!

We love this place. We went on Thurs and had such a great time that we went back Friday. Both nights the staff were really amazing. They may the experience more awesome! It was so much fun. I recommend it!

Fun escape room. Hints were readily available from staff. We did Treasure Island as it was recommended for kids (3 kids age 11 and one mom). It was fun but I think $125 for 4 for an hour is a lot but pretty on par with all escape room costs. Did for my daughter s bday but wouldn t spend that much normally.

Had the best experience here! Kate was super fun and friendly and helped me and my 7 year old niece so much! Definitely can t wait to go again!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Had a great time as part of my college age daughters birthday with her friends. A variety of challenges so everyone was able to contribute.

Loved the Zombie Apocalypse. The Master bonus Level was so much fun because we could all work together on each letter of the final clue. Houdini house of cards is the most challenging puzzle we ve ever encountered (so far). So much fun to work as a team spanning multiple clues.

Had a great experience and great game guide, Cait. Ive always had positive experiences with the staff, and would always recommend if youre looking for a fun time. For experienced players looking for info on the style: Single room, puzzle and lock focused escape rooms.

Zombie Apocalypse was AWESOME!!! Such great clues that really make you think and have to work together to get out of the room! Well done and would recommend this experience to everyone!!
