Came here for the escape room and the unique cocktails. This place gives me a Harry Potter vibe. Although Ive only gone to one other escape room, the ones here are definitely on the more challenging side, but it was super fun. We had a great experience and the staffs were wonderful. I would definitely come back, if not the escape room, then for the drinks. Parking on the street.
Really cool that a puzzle room has a bar and restaurant. I went with a big group and we were able to split with groups of 6 for the puzzle room and wait for each other in the bar until we were all finished. The puzzles were fun and unique. Bonus that the fries were excellent!
What a cool place. I did the library escape room with a group of 6. It was well designed and engaging for the whole team. Ill be going back for another room or to just hang out at the bar which had excellent vibes. Extra kudos for a variety of NA drink options and amazing staff.
I mean, how cool is a puzzle room in a funeral home Deliciously creepy, and delicious drinks before hand. Hopefully we ll make it out of here
We had a great time celebrating a family birthday. It was the first time doing an escape room and the staff were helpful. :) The building is really neat and we look forward to returning when they finish additional rooms!
The staff was super welcoming and enthusiastic, and the production value on the escape room we chose was absolutely incredible. I brought a couple friends along who hadnt done any escape rooms before, and they all had a wonderful time. Im excited to go back soon, and try more of the food and drinks as well! The ambiance of the space and the mythology theyve created is incredibly fun! If youre an escape room or puzzle fan, this is a destination place.
We have done many escape rooms. Really enjoyed the experience at this one!. Puzzles were challenging but solveable. Staff was helpful and friendly. A different atmosphere than some of the other rooms we have done.
I ve wanted to come to this place for weeks and finally made it today. We realized we booked an earlier time than we thought and even though because of it we were running late, they gave us leeway. Staff was so friendly. Lots of parking. Gorgeous space with so much more potential. You can tell they are curating a masterpiece. The puzzle we did was challenging and the most unique and gorgeous escape room I ve ever done. So hands on. Come here come here come here! Drinks and food and board games and more!
This place is magical! I have done so many escape rooms and this was something so unique. You ll have to try it out for yourself. After completing the escape room, we went to the bar. We got the Dragon Margarita, Old Fashion, and Mac n Cheese-all were delicious. Overall had a great time-not just an escape room but something to experience!
Hourglass Cafe and Bar attached to Lazarus Crowe is a fantastic cocktail bar and Cafe with enthusiastic staff and lovely food. Love the atmosphere and the customer service. They are so friendly and enthusiastic about the quality of cocktail
There s a giant raven hanging from the rafters. what more do you need? Well it just so happens that food is delicious (lots of meat free alternatives), drinks are fun (and even light up), staff is charming (knowledgeable af), and the puzzle rooms are both engaging and creative! I was able to navigate our puzzle from my wheelchair and I didn t feel left out. Inclusion is everything and this is just an awesome spot. Absolutely must visit.
Neat place. They have real food and cocktails. The escape game vibe is a step above many other places. Its more all-encompassing. It feels more immersive.
Ive done two of the rooms here, and Im hooked! The puzzles are fun and interesting, and the overall theme and experience is just really really cool. Parts of the rooms require solving puzzles in the common hallways, and seeing the overlapping pieces and other groups working on different things is something special. The food and drinks fit in with the theme, and the common area is a great space to hang out and play games. Im excited to try out some of the non-room experiences they offer as well!
Incredible experience here tonight!!! From the unique atmosphere to the delicious post-success cocktails, I was thoroughly impressed. We came in as a group of 4 unsure of what to expect, and it exceeded our expectations. Each one of us was able to contribute a bit differently to the experience. The time put into crafting the cocktails was apparent, and we loved all the ones that we tried. I felt like I didnt want to leave!!! Definitely an unforgettable experience!!
The Lodge is a renovated Mortuary. The chapel has been creatively transformed into a restaurant/game area/bar. There are two floors of common space filled with spooky artifacts, antique furniture, and puzzles. Then there are private escape room adventures that are separate from the rest of the Lodge. It feels like you are in a movie set or in a haunted dollhouse. Or a movie about a haunted dollhouse. The puzzles were challenging (but not impossible). There are fun props, secret doors, and voice...
acting. The staff is very friendly. Overall, a very immersive experience. The food is good! I will say that you should wait for waitstaff to take your order. You have the ability to order online via your phone, but the WiFi is patchy and its common for orders to not go through. We did the online ordering because we thought we had to and it was a little awkward. All our food came at different times and my order got lost. But I dont want to judge an escape room on the WiFi of their restaurant--so this place still gets 5 stars from me because the escape room itself was fantastic. This is a great place to go on a date or with friends. It is also just a fun place to hang out. I will be going back, even if just to have a board game day in the restaurant and not do any escape rooms. I was impressed with the loaded French fries.
We went to the Lodge for lunch, back to back puzzle rooms, and cocktails afterwards! Both rooms were super exciting, challenging, and really well designed! My only regret is that we did it all in one day, and now have to wait for the next Trapped room to open! But even if youve done all the rooms (or if puzzle rooms arent your thing) the bar and restaurant are worth a visit on their own! The atmosphere is magical, and the menu manages to be both novel AND delicious! Especially liked the shrimp tacos and the cocktails (yes, all of them!)
This escape room is amazingly themed and the venue goes a long way. The bar has fantastic themed drinks and is a perfect spot to sit and play a board game, even if you arent just waiting for your turn to go into the escape rooms. Unlike many other escape rooms you have to solve a puzzle just to know which room to enter, and you can run into other participants looking for their own room! The room itself had a great temporal theme and the puzzles were good. We did the the founders office, one of the harder rooms. It took us just under an hour. Each puzzle lead to the next, so we rarely felt completely lost. A few puzzles forced us to work together and the unique space was well used to give us some pleasant surprises.
Such a perfect combination to have an escape room and bar in a former church/funeral home! The room was really fun, I look forward to coming back to try out other rooms and some of the other games they have. What a fun unique spot! All employees were very kind as well. Drinks and food were excellent.
This place is EPIC! Unlike any other escape room establishment Ive been to: more extensive, more deliciously unique aesthetic, AND they have excellent cocktails, mocktails and food (including vegan, vegetarian and GF options). I would go just to hang out and have a drink with a friend or a cool date. But i know ill be back to try the other rooms. Already cant wait.
Best immersive experience I ve been to! The room we did was challenging and rewarding. The drinks were amazing and the food was excellent. The staff were all lovely! Already made plans to come back. This is my new favorite place! <3
My group received great customer service and enjoyed the cool and unique concept of our escape room and vibey interior design/architecture of the facility (a former mortuary). We did the Arcane Library and liked that the room was designed for a smaller group of 2-6 people and that they didnt put strangers with us (I think each game is limited to one party) (escape rooms for larger groups can be really overwhelming and not a good fit for some personalities). The level of difficulty seemed about right for the average person - challenging but not impossible. Also, I appreciate that they have vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.
Really cool venue where we had a fun escape room experience and great drinks and food at their Hourglass Cafe and Bar afterwards. The menu was just as creative as their puzzles! Perfect spot for a fun evening with friends or family.
This place was awesome! There was a bar and cafe with many options, the shrimp tacos were perfectly done. All the puzzles were very on theme and the decor was so fun. It was definitely an immersive experience I would come back to and do more of the rooms
Alternative approach to escape rooms where there was no time limit and the initial part of the puzzle was in space shared with others pursuing their own puzzles. Very cool approach, and Id go back. Cool building and bar integrated as well.
This place is MAGICAL. Every detail of the space and menu has been treated as an opportunity to add depth and humor. The walls of the cafe are spangled with stars. My drink was full of swirling sparkles. The lighting is colorful and mysterious. The menu is full of puns and somehow also full of actually delicious food. There is a giant crow flying overhead. The bartender is the coolest person. I haven t had a chance to play any of the escape rooms yet, but I visited the bar and cafe to play a board game with a couple friends. We got super good mocktails and super good food (the fries and the mushroom elote tacos). This is a place I want to hang out ALL THE TIME now.
Today our family (6 of us) chose to tackle The Arcane Library as our adventure. This room had an entrance concept new to us and a bit puzzling but we got in. The room itself was a great mystery that took everything we could muster to keep moving along. Most interesting there wasnt a padlock to be opened anywhere. All the props and devices worked as they should was a big plus. The big negative in this space was the fact that communicating with the Game Master was extremely poor both in asking for clarification or getting hints/ directions. We hope to play here again, with improved communication.
This was my first escape/puzzle room experience and it was fantastic! I was in a group of three and we completed the Apothecary. It was challenging, but in a good way! The atmosphere was incredible, staff was extremely friendly, and the theme bar was stellar. I highly recommend this experience and I cant wait to go back!
Ive never seen a place like this before. Its amazing and full of creativity. The cafe/bar is in the chapel of this old mortuary and is an awesome place for a drink. The drinks are delicious, especially the chocolate cake cocktail. And there is a drink that glows! Good food too. Loved the saag paneer poutine. A good place for a low key hang, play a game, or debrief an escape room. I havent yet done one of the escape rooms, but the decor that I can see walking around makes me very excited to come back to try one. Trapped Puzzle Rooms has taken it to another level. Ill be back for sure.
Fun rooms, excellent atmosphere, but no bike parking. I understand that they opened in October so its been mostly winter, but please put a bike rack in some of your green space :) We ended up locking two bikes to a railing, but theres not room for more than two.
Fun escape room, we enjoyed the connected theme of the lodge and the room. Grace was super nice and made some great drinks for us while when hung out at the bar after.
