Our group checked out The Bank Heist Escape Room at Seattle Escape Rooms, for a friend s birthday party today. Our host greeted us upon arrival, and was friendly and helpful from the get go! He explained the rules clearly, and made sure we were all set before everything got rolling! He also made sure we were able to get all items that weren t necessary for the room put away (including cell phones) in lockers prior to the game beginning. The room itself was awesome! It was a medium difficulty level...
, and the puzzle was circular. The puzzles were diverse enough that it engaged all skill levels, and all six of us left the room feeling as if we brought something to the table! There is crawling in the game, which can be difficult for folks if mobility is an issue. Clues were available from the host if people requested them. You get two without it impacting your overall time, and an extra free clue if it is your birthday! We completed this escape room with a total time of 48:24!! Not the fastest time by far, but not too shabby either! They have some additional cool looking games, so we are excited to go back and try our luck at one of the other ones offered! :)
This is an awesome Escape Room in Seattle! They are very well built, life like, clean and greatly detailed. The puzzles are on the harder, more cerebral level, sometimes you have to crawl through things and they have puzzles like Ive never seen anywhere else. The waiting room has high top tables with games on them which is perfect for groups who are still waiting for their teammates to arrive. SHOUT OUT TO ISSAC who was patient, upbeat, enthusiastic and all around a great Game Master. This is the type of place that makes you excited to come back and try em all! Nice to have Georgetown so close to go out before/after.
Great experience! I did the bank job and with a couple hints it was pretty fun to do with a 4 person group. Robert, who helped us, did a great job!
Disclaimer to start: we finished the room with minutes to spare but the win wasn t satisfying at all. I loved the fact that they had some last minute availabilities on a Saturday night. We booked for the 10:15 bank job room. Parking, first of all, during this time of year is a bit frustrating due to the haunted house. We were lucky to find something nearby on the street but we were rushing in after I received a call at 10, asking if we were going to make it on time. The tone of voice was very abrupt...
and rude. While I understand you guys have the rule that we *must* arrive 15 minutes prior to game time, we finished all of our waivers within 2 minutes and we waited around for a few minutes after throwing our things in the locker provided because it was really busy that night. We were finally debriefed and the rules of the room were very straight forward but not once did the employee mention that the bricks in the room were *not* part of game play. So then we were walked into a room to watch a video about the room we were about to play in and were given no further direction when it ended. We stood there confused like what are we doing. The employee came back out, mid eating, and said sorry then led us to our room. We finally start the escape room and we re doing our thing when we realize, hey the bricks move! Maybe there s a clue under there? So we start taking the floor apart. A few of us wondered wow this is a ton of bricks to look under if they actually hid a clue there and we were really under the impression that she would ve told us to stop ASAP, as soon as she found out we were messing with the bricks, especially if we didn t hear anything about NOT using the bricks. A few minutes pass by, and mind you, this is a one hour escape room, (Every. Minute. Counts!!), she finally says I told you guys not to mess with the bricks so rudely, we were really caught off guard. Like okay, thanks for telling us NOW? Somehow during this whole mess, we got access to the next part of the room and we were ready to move on until she said, you guys can t just leave the bricks there, they have to go back where you found them again, in a very rude tone. Okay fine, so half of us stayed, the other half moved on. Because of all this, there was a small injury that happened to my boyfriend who was trying to put away these dumb bricks. She came out once we asked her for a bandaid and was nice enough to slip him a hint but that was maybe the only nice thing she did all night. Anyway, moving on to the escape room itself I ve done a few escape rooms before and this has to be the worst one I ve ever done. Our only saving grace with this room was the fact that we were celebrating a room so we had three free hints. I believe I saw that a hint usually costs 2-3 minutes? Nothing was clear, there were a bunch of miscellaneous things which, in a normal escape room, you re fair game to touch and move around, but this one? We kept getting scolded to not mess with things and it didn t make sense because hello? We re trying to solve things. I don t know if you dread your job and if we were a major inconvenience to your night as a last minute booking, but it doesn t hurt to just be nice As previously mentioned, we did escape the room but the ending was extremely underwhelming and anticlimactic, to the point where we didn t even know if we actually won or not? The girl offered to take our picture at the end and somehow it ended up being not the best photo anyway with it being off centered. So petty. All in all, there is no way I would refer friends to go here. Please go to Locurio (Fremont) or Entangled (Marysville and Lynnwood) for much better and well thought out rooms and wayyyy friendlier staff. They also take better photos at the end of the game. Lol! TLDR: rude staff ruined the whole experience from start to finish, you do get free hints if you re celebrating a birthday but you re better off spending your money elsewhere with better parking and rooms. **edit: meant to say bank job room, not cell block but thanks for the reply?
We went for the Abducted escape experience. The entrance is not very easy to spot and you have to knock hard on the door to get the staff to come and open it for you. The front desk staff was very friendly and the small board games they had in the waiting area were cool, we especially enjoyed the Pucket game while we waited for our turn. However, the escape rooms assigned to us for the Abducted smelled bad (and the water in the tub was gross which we had to get our hands in to get the clues) and were too crowded to fit the eight of us. But we had fun anyway. Probably won t come back here again though as there re plenty of other options.
Escape games built by the people that brought you Georgetowns Haunted House. The puzzles are challenging and the props for the morgue are suitably terrifying. Prepare to be scared and puzzled! There are currently four games: Georgetown Morgue, Cell Block 12, Abducted, and Bank Job. Not suitable for kids under ~13 Theres a wheelchair accessible ramp to the front door of Seattle Escape Games. There is parking next to the building and a large parking lot across the street on Hudson. The games require crawling through holes, reaching, using tools, solving complex puzzles, lifting, pushing, bending. Would not recommend for anyone that requires the use of a wheelchair.
The morgue was super creepy and the clues were really challenging. We had to ask for help more times than we would have preferred but Lacey was super patient and helpful to get us moving along to the next step. Their prices are really fair too and we got a photo of our group to take home. Highly recommended if you arent looking for an easy solve!
Super fun and complex games! We went on my friends birthday and had a blast. The Bank Heist is difficult, but such a cool challenge!
Ive done a few rooms here and was excited to play their newest. Unfortunately it felt like a waste of money. We paid $140 to stand in a dark room and stare at a kids board game for an hour. Our gamemaster was slow to respond and hints were just repeating things that were already written in the room. They excused it by this being their hardest room but at the end of the day youre paying for the experience and this was just not fun. Two stars because I did enjoy the morgue and cell block when I played them a few years ago... But it seems like it really depends on who is running your game.
This was so much fun. The room was challenging and we barley made it out but we had a great time. I have been to other escape rooms in Seattle and this one was by far the best. The staff was really nice and helpful ( but only when asked). We will definitely be back to do other rooms.
Had a great time with the cell block room, make sure to bring a hoodie or light coat, it can be a little brisk in the winter morning!
Seattle Escape Games and The Georgetown Morgue Haunted House was the perfect team bonding experience!! From start to finish they made sure our event was planned flawlessly. The Escape Rooms are quite difficult and challenging but super fun and engaging. Of course the haunted house is spectacular. I would definitely work with Seattle Escape Games again for another team bonding event!! I highly recommend them!
Never a bad experience at this escape room. All of the game masters are always very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. My friends and I just completed the Cell Block room and our game master Nate was super chill and easy going. We plan on returning this weekend to do the hardest room Abducted . The settings are always very realistic with the lighting, props, and background noises. Thank you Nate for such an awesome experience!
Best escape room around! All the game masters are awesome and are super cool people. I really enjoyed the morgue, cell block, and bank job. Abducted next, can t wait! Thank you guys for the incredible customer service and extremely fun experiences in each different game each time. Would give 10 stars if I could!! Recommend them to everyone.
Some if the best rooms we have been to. Challenging and fun puzzles, and the staff was fabulous! Our group had so much fun we ended up doing 3 rooms because we loved it so much! Can t wait to come back to do another!
Ive done so many escape rooms and I love them all. The production level and experience this is the BEST Seattle area has to offer. Kai was a great host and we are grateful for the service
We went for a friends birthday. It was very fun and Kai was awesome! Super excited to go back and do more rooms in the future!
Amazing! My favorite escape place. Ive been 2 times, George town morgue and cell block 12! Very nice and funny people, detailed and elaborate games. Definitely a must do!
Just tried my first escape room here and it was on point! There was 5 of us and the time went by pretty fast we had a blast! Tawnee was cool and gave us clues at the parts we struggled with! Dope experience overall. Highly recommend
My group and I had a lot of fun! Nate was awesome! Highly recommend!
We took our son and his friends for his birthday and had an awesome time. Thank you to the amazing staff!
Even to have failed to escape was a supreme joy, as a birthday gift to my sister who loves the ooky spooky, scary warry. We were down a person, and I m better at being puzzled than puzzle-solving. NONETHELESS, a perfect experience we re bound to repeat, either next year as an escape room or this fall as a ghost tour!
I went to the Seattle escape games with a group of 7 of my friends, 8 including me. We did cell block 12 although it was challenging we made it out right before the buzzer at 59 mins. I would say that I m quite the expert when it comes to these as I ve done many across the country and this game was a brain teaser for sure! It was a lot of fun trying to work together to conquer this puzzle. My group of friends will definitely be back! I would like to shout out the employees for their professionalism and amazing customer service! We stayed about an hour after our game ended and played all of the mini games in the lobby. 10/10 would recommend this business! I will be back for the other 3 games for sure. WELL DONE
It was so fun, my group did the bank job and had a blast it was pretty hard but they give you hints when you ask. We will definitely be coming back to do one of their other rooms
All of the rooms here are excellent, and Nate was an awesome host
I ve personally experienced every game they have to offer and I can say they have been my favorite escape room. The environment they build with a combination of props, sound effects, and storytelling are exceptional. The puzzles are difficult enough to figure out but still doable for the general public. However, the best part is the game masters who run the experience. They go above and beyond to create an enjoyable time we ll worth multiple visits. For that I d like to thank Seattle Escape Games for all they ve done
My friends and I have recently participated in Bank Job room, this was a lot harder compared to all the other escape rooms I ve been to since it involved a lot of backtracking. We were a group of 5 and it was difficult for us to solve the many clues. But we had lots of fun decoding each of those, few were fairly obvious and a few just didn t make any sense. All in all it was a good activity but I recommend to go to with a full 8/8 force. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The ambiance was also pretty great.
Ive done 2 so far and their def some of the best its got everything its scary, fun and not too challenging (we some how managed to beat one with 2 shared braincells) we only had a min left to spare though
Did the Morgue escape room couple months back and we loved it so we came back for the bank job. Again loved it so much we stayed to do cell block 12 right after! The two gals tanya and leslie were great!
We did the morgue escape room. It was really fun!
