ROOM 5280 - Seattle Live Escape Games

We had such an epic time attempting to complete the dark room with our host Chris. Even though we didnt quite make it to the end, we created a fun memory and so glad we took a chance trying. The backstory is pretty sick as well! Thank you Room 5280 for the experience!

We came here for my teenage son s birthday party and did The Dark Room. We were a mix of adults and teens and it was really fun and challenging for all of us! The staff was energetic and fun, and definitely made us feel welcomed. Were def going back to enjoy another room!

Fun rooms! Parking is limited, take transit if you can. They have a cool lobby puzzle while you wait, a warm up for what is to come. Experiment: Their smallest room, but still a reasonable size. Set design is sparse. Beginner friendly room with some cool science-based puzzles. Very little into the plot. Best for 2 experienced players or 4 newer players. The Dark Room: A moderate room that is literally dark, but also has a bit of dark theming. Set design is somewhat sparse. Perhaps a 13+ room, but...
Read full review is not scary as there are no jump scares whatsoever. This room is very story-driven. Best for 3 experienced players or 5-6 newer players. The Heist: The most challenging and biggest room. There is some storyline, but not as much as the Dark Room. The best set design of the 3 rooms. Best for 5 experienced players and 7-8 newer players. If your entire group is new to escape rooms, this is probably not a good pick.

This was fun. Scotty was our guide through The Experiment. We were close, but didnt make it out in an hour. Still, good challenges in the room, and we learned something along the way. Youll enjoy this.

This was a pretty fun escape room but pretty minimalistic. The puzzles were fun though and the game master was nice. The main issue was that the puzzles were not so much difficult but mainly just time consuming. Some of the puzzles were far fetched but once the game master gave you a hint it became either too obvious or was just information that we already knew. Overall though, it was a really fun experience for a decent price!

Shaz was super funny and a great host! The room was fun and challenging, and had some really unique vibes!

Really fun escape room. We had 7 people and we all were able to contribute. We got out with 6 minutes to spare

One of the best escape rooms I have been to around Seattle area. We tried the Dark Room , it s not too hard and not too easy, just the perfect challenge level. For this room, I think 4 people is the best. Will definitely go back and try other rooms. Also think it s a great choice for team event. The stuff is very friendly!

Highly recommend this place!! Very organized and the staff was very friendly!! Chris was the one that introduced us to the rules/ what to expect etc. Chris was super friendly and was on point with the assistance he provided along the way with the clues he offered and the timing for the experiment room. He also took the time to let us know what we missed to be able to escape. Thank you Chris for making this experience very memorable for me and my date!!

We did the experiment and had an amazing time! The puzzles were really satisfying, the room made sense and was incredibly aesthetically pleasing. Our game master was Shaz who was incredible! They were super thorough, funny and made the experience even better. We will definitely be back every time we re in Seattle!!

had an amazing experience. the two of us did the The Experiment room and it was so fun! our host Chris was the best. we didn t finish the room in time but we were close, so Chris walked us through the rest of the room which was very kind and made the experience even better. i highly recommend this place. i am not a local but i want to attempt all of the rooms now :)

Had the BEST time ever at this location! The 4 of us tackled The Dark Room, and we all agreed that it was by far the most enjoyable escape room experience weve had to date. The puzzles were a lot of fun and the perfect level of challenging. Customer service was impeccable and our host demonstrated a genuine passion for ensuring our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Thanks for a great experience ROOM5280!

Shaz was a great host for our group! We completed the Dark Room with 9 people and not one hint with a time of 23:47. Highly recommend going yourself and trying to beat our informal record! (No pictures of the room itself because we locked away all devices in the handy lockers provided)

We had a fantastic experience at ROOM5280! It was our first time there, and we played The 4th Door. Lot s of technology and hands down the best production value we ve seen to date! The story takes you on a trip around the world, with each location feeling genuinely distinct and immersive. You get 80 minutes, but it honestly felt like 10! The place itself was super clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

The experiment was a great room. The puzzles were set up properly and they were very satisfying to solve. Definitely coming back to try more! Shaz was an awesome game master that made my friends first escape room one to remember.

AWESOME! Never went to an escape room before. We had a large group so ended up in the toughest room. Almost made it out, but really, really clever! And took all 10 of us to get it! Ready for more.

10/10 We did Heist and it s a great room! I played a number of rooms of the last couple of years and this one is definitely up there. The design fits the theme very nicely, and the puzzles are very unique and quite clever (challenging but in a fun way). And when you get stuck (which will happen - a lot of puzzles to get through), you get hints that actually help you without revealing the answer - no stress and everything flows seamlessly!! It was very satisfying room and we ll be back to try their other rooms next time we re in Seattle!

Best escape rooms Ive been to. We did The Experiment. Great puzzles, just the right blend of linearity and non-linearity, with the most creative contraptions Ive seen in an escape room. Best hint system Ive seen, too. When provided, hints are given as a note face-down under the door, allowing you to choose whether to take it or not. The game master, Quinn, was fun to talk to as well. Hes a great puzzle designer who clearly loves what he does.

We had a great time at the escape room. The experiment room was a blast! Chris was very helpful in explaining how to play the game, and supporting our efforts. It was a great family experience!

This was such a fun experience!! We did The Heist which was quite amazing. The difficulty level was 7/10 for me and gave our family of 8 a good challenge. The place is super clean and game masters are friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back for more!

The four doors room was super fun and Shaz was a great host!! The technology for the puzzles was really amazing, highly recommend!!

One of the best experiences ive ever had during an escape room. Shaz was was so awesome! He helped when needed but didnt give anything away. A true professional 100% will come back because of his experience.

Had a blast trying to escape The Experiment! We knew the room would be a challenge since we only had 2 people, but Chris made sure we had a great time and were able to get through the room. We booked online, and the check-in process was easy! Would love to go back and try the other rooms.

The Experiment Room was so fun and the perfect difficulty for 3 people. Hannah was so nice and gave us really good hints!

An incredibly exciting place to relax and train your ingenuity. A wonderful team that is always ready to greet you with a smile on their face.

This is our first ever escape room as a group of 6 and it was very fun. Shaz was our helper and he was nice and really helpful despite of the amount of help we constantly needed. It was chaotic.

The Experiment room was awesome! Shaz was a fantastic host and we all had a great time.

We had an awesome time on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was easy, amazingly. Seth, our host, struck a wonderful balance introducing us to the room - humor and fun and realistic expectations with a dash of amusing spookiness. Four of us worked on the puzzles; only one had done this before. We did succeed but needed more than a few hints. (We overthought a few things!). Seth was nice enough to explain more of the actual science and history (and our mistakes!) after it was all over. Definitely highly recommend!
