Room Escapers - Boston Escape Rooms

Our GM Nadia was friendly, helpful and thorough. We enjoyed the hints system in this room as well as the variety of puzzles. I think groups of 3-5 are perfect for The Lost Ship. This one of the better escape room companies in Boston, on par with Boxaroo and Trapology!

We really wanted to like this place. Honestly the idea of tying the history of the building to the story of the game was super exciting to me and my husband and the reason why we booked Panacea. We are done over 60 rooms together and are always looking for something novel. Overall it just missed the mark. Read full review not built well in the first place, and overall it could just use some major TLC. Definitely other better options in Boston if you re looking for a good escape experience. This one could definitely be better with some love, time, and money invested in making it more of an immersive experience.

Our experience here was awesome! My boyfriend and I did The Lost Ship room. It was a Wednesday 7pm booking, so just the two of us took on the challenge without anyone else booking in. And we escaped with 90 seconds to spare!! Our guide, Captain Charles, did a fantastic job introducing the room to us with this whole back story to set us up. Read full review and from the lobby you had to figure out how to even enter the main room in the first place super cool! I had never seen anything like that before. The puzzles were also really well thought out and interesting, using logic and problem solving (not at all abstract or random). Of all the escape rooms I have done, I would say that this has been the best experience I have had because of the attention to detail in the room, the quality of the puzzles, and the experience of being able to solve it with just the two of us. The room is actually designed for at least 6 people, because it would have been helpful for others to take on and simultaneously solve riddles in the room. Im pretty amazed we were able to do it with just 2 (but it was mostly because we had a few timely hints... big ones, lol). Awesome experience, highly recommend!!! P.S. - This location has only this room (Pirates Booty 2 - The Lost Ship), and the other rooms are in their downtown location. So dont be confused ^_^

Jeff was nice, friendly, amazing. The puzzles were GREAT, fabulous! I went with a party of 14, a little bigger than the usual, but I absolutely loved it. I probably did nothing of merit, but, we did escape the room with six minutes to spare (and there are hints if you get SUPER stuck.) I thought it was ingenious and I cant wait to go to the new location & see the new puzzles! Thank you Jeff for making it so awesome!

Amazing escape room! I have been to a few in the past, but this one by far is the most well thought out and creative. My group of 6 did the Prirate themed room. We had Phillip as our guide and it was wonderful to chat with him before and after. Phillip was fun and helpful and gave us interesting tidbits about the room after we were done. My friends and I have done about 20 escape rooms and this was among the best. The puzzles were challenging but intuitive and clever, the theme was interesting and well executed, and everything felt well-made and rewarding to solve. Good for both first-time room escapers or experienced Houdinis!

Usually just one person is working and running the show. They book only one game which is a multiple room master piece: these are one of the more cleverly built escape rooms out there. If you re into escape rooms then I highly recommend you try this one. Leave a like if this helps. Enjoy folks.

Thank you Nadia for accommodating our family, the kids really loved this experience!! The puzzles weren t so challenging that the kids couldn t participate, but we also needed a little help along the way, so a great mix.

Having done a lot of other escape rooms in Boston, I chose to do the Panacea escape room with my partner but left kind of disappointed. The story behind it was interesting, the GM was great, but I think they were also training another GM at the same time while managing our game because there were two of them who had welcomed and helped us into our room. Read full review definitely took more than a minute to receive a response or even get a response at all so I had to ask the same question more then once, which resulted in wasted time. I was definitely stuck in one specific puzzle in the room for the LONGEST time and I almost felt like the GM wasnt following along our game that well, as I expected to at least get hints along the way if they had noticed we werent moving forward as quickly. And the hints that I DID receive for this specific puzzle did not make sense until after 4-5 hints were given! Hence, my partner and I solved one puzzle in the whole hour and left defeated lol for the amount of money spent on this, I was expecting a better experience :( _____________________________________________________________ UPDATE: The General Manager, Nadya, reached out to us and offered to have us play the Panacea room again for a better experience after reading my review, which was really thoughtful and kind of her to do! She was really nice and friendly when we got there and offered for us to do another escape room instead if we wanted to. We chose to do Organized Chaos. Nadyas explanation on the room was extremely helpful, especially letting us know what NOT to focus on which saved us a lot of headache and time to focus on the puzzles that mattered lol. Went here for our Senior Trip and did one of their Escape Rooms, super well-done and thought out! My only complaint once more falls on the entrance: It looked only a little sketchy, but the interior/lobby was comfortable and suited the escape room aesthetic. The experience in the escape room was difficult as wed thought, great puzzle! In the case I go back to Boston, Id wanna go back here! P.S. Our wait was mostly on the people in the bathroom.

Our Game Master for The Pirates Booty II was a DELIGHT. Even if the escape room had been utterly boring, we would have still had fun because of him. However, the escape room was excellent. We had a 90 minute car ride home, and we joked and laughed about our experience the entire ride.

Our group of 4 had a great time in the room. As a more experienced group, we found the puzzles both challenging and fun. The creativity of the room itself exceeded our expectations- great mix of classic puzzles and technology. Jake was an awesome host!

My friends and I visited Room Escapers yesterday and played Panacea and Organized Chaos. These rooms were both very unique in their own ways and the room design for theme was very well done. Personally Panacea was a standout favorite for me! Organized Chaos is definitely different from any other escape room I ve done and it was an interesting change of pace! Both rooms were extremely fun and we really enjoyed the different types of puzzles we got to interact with across the two rooms! Our game master, Nicole, was great as well! Very personable and you can tell she truly enjoys what she does. We can t wait to go back for more rooms in the future!

Fantastic escape room with a lot of fun puzzles (mostly of moderate difficulty, although we did get stuck on a few), and Room Escapers were super accommodating even though we made a number of mistakes with scheduling haha. Really appreciated the person running the room explaining how everything worked to us at the end and answering all our questions, that was super cool.

Great Room Escape in the heart of Old Boston. Staff was very helpful with online technical issues booking, to make sure we could make the last session the night before our departure. This was an impromptu idea because it was rainy so the family was really happy to get out of the hotel room. Our conductor Braiden was super nice and professional. The decoration, furniture, and general items were very well designed and set up. The experience was very imerssive and visual. The challenges were very engaging and overall I would highly recommend the PANACEA room, and we will certainly come back to try other rooms in the future when we come back to visit Boston.

What a fantastic experience! Our group ranged from highly experienced escapers to total newbies, but the variety of puzzles and challenges available ensured that all of us were able to contribute something. Our guide Jeff was also incredible. He took the time to create the perfect story to set us off on our adventures, and he only provided one clue when absolutely necessary. Needless to say, our amazing team managed to escape with minutes to spare, and make a couple new friends as well! Well definitely be coming back to Room Escapers for more adrenaline-pumping fun!

Spoke with a representative the day of my booking due to not being able to make it. Was informed I d received vouchers for my purchase. Once I realized they didn t come I emailed them. Someone responded no name attached, stating they were waiting for me I didn t show etc when I responded informing them that it was false and I actually spoke with someone I haven t heard back. Decided to try the other escape room in Boston as reviews mentioned.

Went here with a group of friends for my birthday and it was amazing. We ended up in a room with 2 strangers but everyone is so focused on working together to solve the puzzles it doesnt even matter. We had a FANTASTIC TIME Ill probably never stop talking about this place. Id come back any time Jeff changes up the puzzles. Jeff is wonderful. Unreal.

ABSOLUTELY one of the best date nights weve ever had!! Jeff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I had originally booked this event believing the room would fill up. Supposedly, it is best when played with a group of at least 6 people. Jeff promptly called me the day of to make sure I still wanted to play the game. I told him I wasnt sure since it might be overwhelming for just 2 people to figure out, but he encouraged me, and we did it! Besides having a great time, we learned were a phenomenal team as we escaped the room in exactly 1 hour. Its challenging, its fun and a definite must, even if your group just ends up being a dynamic duo. Thank you Jeff!!!

The best experience ever!! I went there with a few people on my bday and even though we were slightly late, they let us do it anyways without feeling rushed. Maning (sorry if I misspelled) was awesome! He did a great introduction and he was a great hints giver ever! I highly recommend it. I went once to a different place/ different company and it wasn t as much fun as this one. We did The Lost Ship and everything seemed on topic and it was well organized: the rooms, clues and etc. I ll definitely will go there again!

This was the best escape room I ve ever been to!!!! I took my boyfriend to Room Escapers for his birthday and we did the Organized Chaos room. It was challenging and fun, and Shawn (or Sean, I don t know how he spells it) was incredibly nice, fun, and enthusiastic. The room is made for 8-12 people, but since we went on a Tuesday at 8pm we were the only ones there which made it much more challenging, but we were soooo close to solving it and ended with 250/300 points! We did organized chaos. I have done 5 escape rooms both in the USA and abroad and this one would be second to last. I wish there were more hidden stuff, evidence smartly hidden. Too much reading too. While I do understand the character and the vibe the creators of this place want to give it just didn t create that spark of joy that other escape rooms manage do.

Checked this place out with a small group of friends recently. Ive heard a little about escape rooms but I never really gave them any serious consideration until we went in, and Im very surprised by how much of a great time it was. The owner, Jeff, was extremely hospitable and we all had a lot of fun. Id suggest this to any group of people looking for a novel experience.

Nadia made sure we had an awesome time. Me and my girlfriend made it through the pirate ship with 6 minutes to spare. This was my 3rd escape room and by far my favorite. 10/10 would come back again.

One of my favorite venues. The games always have lots of puzzles to work on - so a group of 6 or 7 people can stay engaged (while most games at other facilities bottleneck and you have only 2 to 3 people engaged).

Great fun for a good size team of 11 year olds with 2 adults. We did the Apothecary and these kiddos did most of the work themselves. Fun and immersive designs with an engaged staff. We will be back.

I have been to many escape rooms and this one is by far the best. Challenging, interactive, and fun. All the things that make an escape room great. Jeff is an awesome host as well. If you havent been to Room Escapers Boston, you are missing out
