Room Escape Boston

Me and my friends went to the Boom Room and it was a ton of fun. The person working there, Jennifer, was very nice and gave us some extra time to complete it haha. If this is your first escape room or you have done them before it is a great place to come, I highly recommend!

5 star experience for room design, environment, etc... 1 Star for game master and issues with room Average therefore 3 stars. Worth it to go, but not a premium experience.

We came as a group of six to do an escape room. The staff member hosting us seemed a bit flustered and stressed when we arrived, and gave a very brief introduction to the escape room. They told us the rules about not climbing on things, etc. in a somewhat aggressive way. Read full review the time was up, we were scolded for accidentally breaking a small box off of the wall (it easily came off when trying to open it). The host became upset and stomped away. This felt like very bad service. We wanted to have a fun, enjoyable time in the escape room but instead were made to feel uncomfortable by the staff. It was unprofessional.

I brought my daughters and some friends to celebrate my daughters birthday between 10 and 19 years old. Although I didnt go inside, I can share that it was a wonderful experience for them. They went out excited and twlling me they loved it. They couldt finish the challenge because they lacked time at the end, and they were saying they would go back to finish it and try other rooms. Read full review entered with them. The cost was 30$ p/person, and one plus to share is that you can reserve a long table FOR FREE to celebrate the birthday or whatever you are celebrating. I did, and while the girls were inside the escape room like 1 1/2 hours, I took advantage of the time and decorated it with a tablecloth, Ballooms, presents, birthday decorations, snacks, cupcakes, and beverages. It was considerably cheaper that rent a space in other playing centers, to do something challenging and different

The place was totally uncrowded. The room we did, mass murderer, was complicated. We didnt finish in time. The staff guy was nice, but if he had been more engaged, we would have had a better experience and maybe gone back to do the other room. Price was decent. Would recommend to others.

First timer here, so who is to say my expectations were right or not. But sheesh, for $150 for one hour in an escape room, I wish I had brought a flashlight. I couldn t read half the darn material that was really important to figuring things out. Major penalty that the staff member realized his walkie talkie wasn t set correctly, and wasn t working, only after our time slot was up.

Once of the bigger and better (maybe even the best) escape room in the greater Boston area. Staff were friendly and the place was empty except for us when I went here. The room itself is a series of rooms and as you solve puzzles you can move forward. In my opinion these are the best kinds of escape rooms! Would for sure come here again if/when they add some new escape challenges!!!

Absolutely AMAZING!!!! We did the serial killer room! I m obsessed! There were four of us , all over 45 and we had an absolute blast! I can t get over how much thought goes into these rooms!! It s so intricate and thought out. This room was definitely not easy ! If we had 5 more minutes we would ve got out ! Lol amazing!!!!

The host kindly let us reschedule without any questions asked. We arrived late and was given additional time to complete the puzzle. The host was very responsive when we were stuck and asked for hints too. Overall a great experience!

Im 78 and took my grandson age 11 to Room Escape Boston located in Chelsea. Fabulous time! The manager who assisted us was amazing and was so helpful which allowed us to have a great experience. It was my first experience and second for my grandson. Easily a five star rating. Go and have the experience !!!!!!

Jennifer was a wonderful guide! We had lots of fun, both the seasoned and newbies in our party. Will definately come back again :)

I love the experience! There was this staff called Jennifer and she was the best. She helped me with my adhd and with the game, it was so fun and she also helped a lot with the tutorial and her humor was great.

This was so much fun, carefully thought out and challenging. We escaped with a few minutes to spare. We especially liked that all bookings are private and only with your group. Thank you G for being a great host.

We had 15 people so we split up into 2 rooms. The rooms were challenging and creative. Our entire group had a great time

BP was a great host. He recommended the escape room called Boom Room It was such a fun experience and if we got lost he helped us out enough to solve the puzzles without giving too much away. He knew what he was doing and there was no issues at all. I enjoyed the experience all the way through. When I go back I ll ask for him to be the host.

This place had one of the most challenging escape rooms I ve ever been in. I enjoyed every minute of the time there, and I am definitely going back. You can tell that the staff really like to work there and their joy is infectious.

Jennifer was the absolute best I had so much fun! Definitely coming back no doubt !

One of the better escape rooms Ive done! The staff was very attentive and we got hints in real time as we needed them. Additionally, the game was challenging and really made us think. Well done! 10/10 recommend

Very welcoming staff. Host of game was a good hype person in getting our group excited about the room we were entering. Game itself was fun and challenging, which felt even better when we beat it! Would like to go back once they have a new puzzle (as I ve already done the two that they have here). Good team building exercise in an easy to access location!

We really wanted to participate in the archery games here, but were a family of 4 and didnt have enough people for the minimum number. Brian helped us out with the reservations over the phone, and while we were waiting to see if others signed up, he even offered to call us the day of to provide us with an update. We signed up for the serial killer escape room instead and were not disappointed! This is the third escape room weve done with our 15- and 11-year-old and by far the best. Brian was a wonderful host, and we hope to get back to the area in the future to try the archery games! Highly recommended.

Worst customer service. I had an 8:15 reservation that we booked online. I have two email confirmations. We arrived only to be told they closed at 8 and there was a glitch. I called today to complain as my entire party paid for babysitters. The manager was not only rude, he swore at me twice. I will be finding the corporate owner for sure.

Called to have our reservation changed to the Junior Room which is clearly stated on their page. Whoever answered the phone was puzzled about a Junior Room stating they don t have a Junior Room because their rooms aren t really for juniors. Then proceeded to tell me that I should do the Serial Killer room with the kids because it s easier than Boom Room. Also said she d give them mad hints to make it easier. A group was asking for help while she had me on the phone and they were talking about a lock and the 4 digit code and how it won t go. The gamemaster seemed puzzled herself. I m hesitant to keep my reservations and hoping that there s a manager on duty so that our experience isn t ruined for the amount of money I m spending.

The Boom Room was immersive and had fun puzzles. The reason why I m giving 3 stars is because this place was poorly managed. The manager wasn t actively monitoring us in the room (he was tending to the other attractions at the place), so when we escaped, no one came to greet us to confirm we succeeded. When we asked what our final time was, the manager didn t know since he wasn t monitoring us. Instead, he asked, How long ago did you get out? to try and do some math. They need to hire more staff or plan ahead better It was disappointing to not have a more engaged staff member.

Very nice experience with the teens; they are always very curious and opinionated, it made them team up. We took a little over an hour to finish all of the rooms, but the guy let us finish (I am sure he felt very bad whenever he was watching us on the camera trying to get the clues lol). Very nice staff. Thank you!

We had a blast! The room was challenging and kept us entertained. The staff was also friendly. We ll definitely be back.

Beware the items there are not working Waste of money littleraly spent 90$ for nuthing one of the locks werent working and we put in the right code they didnt even honor the time or anything , was littleraly a waste of time and money.

The owner is the most arrogant person Ive ever spoke to in my life. He allows assaults to take place in his establishment after pinning employees against each other. He does not care of the safety of employees or patrons.
