What an awesome time. Jamari was a great host, and the room was a lot of fun. We did The Apartment, which I would say is a good room if this is your first escape room, or if youve only done one or two. We got hints when we needed them, but they let us struggle and figure things out. Cant wait to try the Clock Tower in the future!
My friend and I are experienced room escapers who usually finish with 5-10 minutes to spare and minimal clues. With this experience in mind it appears that the escape room we did here (clock tower) just shat 5 hours worth of lacklustre puzzles into 60 minutes. Clues given are relatively unhelpful and vague and at times puzzles of their own. This makes for an all around bad experience. I may up the star from 2-3 if the next room I do here is better; if this rating remains a 2 then you can assume it wasn t better
The experience from start to finish was excellent! We were greeted by Joe, who was extremely kind and upbeat. Keiana took over with great energy and keeping all the details fun. Highly recommend checking out Escape the Room in Boston!
Our group had a ton of fun! A couple of us had never done an escape room and the ones that had said the room we did was nothing like the ones they have done in the past. Sam, our host was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. He made it a personal experience for us and was very attentive, helping us out when we needed it. Thanks again, Sam!
If youre ever in Boston and looking for a spontaneous & fun activity with the kids, look no further than Escape The Room Boston! Despite its unassuming concepts (The Apartment & Clock Tower) and location, this turned out to be one of the most fun experiences weve ever had in town. We stumbled upon it on a whim, and Im so glad we did. Joe, our game master, was an absolute delight. His energetic personality and clear instructions set the perfect tone for our adventure. The climb to the third floor...
may seem odd at first, but don t let that deter you it s completely safe and inviting. From the moment we stepped inside, we were ready to go. We laughed hysterically, collaborated seamlessly, and had a blast every minute. The puzzles were engaging and the whole experience was a fantastic bonding opportunity with my kids. The thrill of escaping just in the nick of time left us feeling humbled, happy, and immensely accomplished. If you re in town, definitely give this escape room a try. We re already planning our next visit!
I went in with a group of 7. We tried out the Boom room escape room and it was a blast. The room had multiple sections that had their own unique challenge and variety. It sucks that we can only experience it once, but we will definitely return for the other 2 rooms. 10/10 experience!
super fun!! unfortunately did not finish the last puzzle for the clock tower but our moderator was really nice and supportive throughout. took some pictures for us and would love to go back again with maybe some new rooms!!
Calling from Oregon!! It was a ton of fun, having the chance to do an escape room with people we didn t know was certainly an experience I would love to have again!!! The puzzles were thought provoking, and made us work together to solve the problem. Definitely need to come back.
I did the Clocktower and it was super cool! Definitively doable but you really gotta be on your feet. Joe did such an amazing job guiding us through, explaining things, and giving us perfectly timed clues especially towards the end when we were struggling. Just barely managed to finish with three seconds left, definitely very heart-racing. Would come back again.
Andy, the clue master, was amazing and we had a great time getting 82-ish% of the way through the apartment. I was worried it was going to be too easy, but it had moments that stumped us and we had an amazing time. Will be back!
Andy was a great cluemaster! My spouse and I had a great time, and we almost made it out. Will definitely come back for the other room!
Super fun escape room (The Apartment)!! Some of the puzzles were a bit tricky but the clues were helpful without completely giving the game away. Also, Kailee was a super friendly and awesome cluemaster that really helped to elevate the experience!! Recommend checking this place out for sure :-)
My team and I had a great time in the clock tower game, almost won. Made it to the last room but ran out of time with 1 clue left to solve. Could not have had so much fun if not for Andrea. Thank you!!
Super fun! Well fleshed out room! The Apartment was lots of fun! To top it off the Escape room guide was super helpful and very descriptive!
We escaped, but our clue master Joe was the real MVP! I ve done a bunch of escape rooms in the past, and the Clock Tower was one of the most engaging by far. Great diversity in types of puzzles and a real adrenaline rush at the end. Can t recommend this place highly enough!!
Me and my friends had a great time here, the apartment was really challenging. Joe made are experience even better by be being a great host and did a great job instructing us.
I did the apartment escape room and had a great time. Joe, our (proctor?) was extremely funny with his use of the soundboard and gave hints that seemed to only give away the information we needed (not too much)(maybe this was just a coincidence though). I will say, to anyone who wants a bit of a tip, listen carefully to the words and wording of the rules. As a difficulty gauge, I did it with 3 people (out of a maximum of 8) and got halfway with ~7 hints (I do not remember the exact amount). SPOILERS...
: This would definitely be a 5 star place if there wasn t information hidden under the rug in the bathroom and if the book puzzle came sooner so the books would not be as likely to be randomized (or they would be randomized to a lesser extent) and/or players would be more likely to remember the original positions. Another problem that I had with the book puzzle is the row and column labels on the puzzle card found in the bathroom. These figures do help orient the puzzle piece but also point towards the chessboard and are, apart from orienting the puzzle piece, useless. Also, the chessboard puzzle was very misleading with the word checkm8 as part of the tablet background - although I do get that it helps people understand that the rook square should be expressed using only letters, but there has to be a better way to do this. One more thing to note - this wasn t a problem for me but could potentially be a problem for someone else: The tablet has a timeout if too many passwords are put in. While putting random solutions in is not how puzzles are solved, there are many solutions that are plausible that can be derived from the tablet lockscreen (Like I said, this wasn t a problem for me, and I got extremely misled by the tablet lockscreen). I say I here because I am writing this by myself, but my partners did express similar frustrations when we reflected informally.
Had a great time with my team! Unfortunately we could finish but Joe was awesome at giving hints and making the experience stress free. We didn t do it Joe!
Andy was great host and really helpful along the way most definitely will be coming back to visit had a lot fun
So much family fun with my 8 and 10 year old! The apartment one is very entertaining! Thank you for a great day!
I went to Escape the Room Boston with my colleagues and we had so much fun in the Cartman and Clock Tower rooms. Jonathan was so personable and Kat took great care of us by giving our clues in a timely manner
Such a great experience coming here with my friends! We completed The Apartment, it was equal parts challenging and fun! Joe (with an E) was a very helpful and welcoming game room master, and he asked for our feedback at the end which was very nice. The setup of the room was cohesive to the nature of the game, and I will definitely be going back!
The Apartment was awesome! Keiana did such a great job, she set us up really well and the clues were timely (but not too quick). Thanks Keiana!!
So much fun in the Clock Tower! Andrea was an awesome clue-master, but we didnt need TOO much of her help to make it out, with 5 minutes to spare! AWESOME, 3-generation family event!
Joe for one, was amazing! He s friendly and encouraging! With the right team and will to work together, putting the clues together is a breeze! With only Solving 90% of the puzzle we were still satisfied with our efforts! Definitely coming to tackle the Apartment our next visit!
I love puzzles in general. This design was great. The only reason why i took off a star was because I hate using/given hints/clues which happened a few times because we were stuck. Id rather starve myself of oxygen before i use hints/clues. Its just who i am. It was fun though.
Had Joe for The Apartment and had a great time. My girlfriend and I got out with a few minutes to spare. We had a slow start but it picked up quickly. Joe gave plenty of laughs and made the experience a lot of fun. I recommend
We had such a great experience with Escape the Room. The room was challenging but still doable and the clues from Joe definitely helped us along the way. We were able to beat the room with 9 seconds to spare. Joe was a great host and helped with clues whenever necessary. We always thought we were close to getting out but things would pop up that made us think otherwise. Overall, it was a really fun time and we had an absolute blast!
We had a corporate team building event and it was a great time in the clocktower! We had ten individuals and there were enough puzzles to keep everyone busy, and the challenges are tactile and satisfying! This room was honestly difficult, so be warned. Joe was a great host!
We had an absolutely lovely time! Our puzzle master was really engaging and fun and we are definitely going to come back soon!
