Boxaroo - Boston Room Escape

Amazing rooms!! The rooms are large and they provide you a private experience for your group which was wonderful. We didnt escape from the first one so had to come back the next day and managed to escape with a minute to spare (it wasnt the same room :). Who the room master is does matter and we loved Elizabeth (I hope Im not mixing up her name). She is super super attentive and makes the experience amazing. She is watching you work and her experience allows her to step in when needed and provide timely clues. Ask for her - itll change your experience.

We really enjoyed the escape room, but our group found the puzzles and room too easy. We were able to breeze through their most difficult escape room in near record time. According to the operator it was the fastest they ve seen it done, but not the fastest ever. Overall great room, but if you ve done a few escape rooms successfully you may want to look else where for a better challenge. I d return again if they come out with another more challenging room.

Did the Magicians Study with 2 people and had a tonne of fun. Its probably better suited to 3 or 4 due to the size and amount of running around needed, but we had a good balance of hints to complete it within the time limit, and all of the puzzles made sense once we figured them out.

Fun experience but as a group who has done multiple escape rooms, we did not find even the hardest escape room very challenging. We were able to finish in under 30 min without clues. Great for novices, but not for groups looking for more challenging escape rooms.

They have taken the escape room experience to the next level. Really good storyline and great puzzles. So far the best escape room in Massachusetts.

Storyteller s Secret is ABSOLUTELY 200% WORTH IT! I wish I could get amnesia, just to go do it again! I ve done over 20 room escapes ranging within the US and Europe and this HANDS DOWN is the most impressive room I ve ever done! This room is technically impressive and you get bonus riddles if you re fast enough. Read full review that I ve down with this level of sophisticated tech almost always run into some technical issues, BUT this place was FLAWLESS! It was so incredibly impressive! I can t stop talking about it. Everyone should experience this magical room! COVID safety: I d rate it 10/10, so super safe!! We were brought down and screened for any COVID related illness or if we traveled within the last 2 weeks. They provide hand sanitizer. Besides the game master, we were the only ones in the room and in the lobby. Everyone is required to keep their mask on the whole time. They sanitize the room after every game. I would go back in a heart beat!

Our group had an amazing time at this escape room. We did the Magician s study and it was a blast. Lots of unique and interesting puzzles and the decorations of the room were so enthralling! Everyone working there was amazingly nice and the hints were perfect to help us on our way. Highly recommend this place. I ve done other escape rooms but this was one of the best!

Storytellers Secret was phenomenal! I would put it in the top 10 escape rooms of the 150 plus Ive done. It was so fun and everything integrated so well.

As enthusiastic adventurers, we tackled all three rooms in a tightly packed tour de force, and they turned out to be a crescendo of wonder: starting with the Conundrum Museum, moving on to The Mystery of the Magicians Study, and finishing with a bang in Storytellers Secret, a room that I believe is truly one of a kind. An adventure where gameplay and storyline merge and unfold into an unexpectedly magical finale, much like the various narratives within it. We want to extend our gratitude once again...

The rooms that we had were a lot of fun, pretty challenging, and had a good backstory/plot. My friends and I enjoyed ourselves (there were 4 of us), and we really would like to go back again. They are currently working on more rooms, but the one(s) that they have now are really rather good and exciting. The staff was really polite, fun, and nice.

Took my gf for her birthday and it was an awesome experience. The puzzles were creative & challenging, and the room s aesthetic was very cool. We ve been to a few different escape rooms around Boston, but this was by far the best one.

I cant speak more highly for Boxaroo. My boyfriend and I have been twice and are already planning a third trip. Both times, the staff have been incredibly kind and funny, and the rooms were stunning, immersive, and super fun. Puzzles are unique, entertaining, and clever. Loved the Storytellers secret room. Its very beautifully decorated. Super clever puzzles and great hints too. This was my friends first time to escape room and we are glad we got to escape storytellers secret room. The staff is very friendly. Enjoyed every bit of it. We loved our experience! What we loved about this escape room (different then others weve tried) is that we had to work together as a team to solve many of the puzzles. We had to use our imagination AND our logic, and think outside the box. There were surprises, twists, and lots of interesting challenges to keep us engaged. It never got boring not felt too hard. Just perfect for a group outing.

We were able to play all 3 rooms, all of which were so well done!! Magicians Study was magical, and Storytellers Secret will always have such a special place in my heart. The experience was so much fun and customer service was great! Brie and Wes (there was one other as well but I cant remember their name :,)) were so lovely! If I could go back and play their rooms again, I would!!

Went here for a birthday celebration and had so much fun in the conundrum museum room! It was the perfect amount of difficulty for our group and was incredibly creative. Shoutout to our amazing guide Miles - he was so positive, talented, and made our experience extra amazing. Highly recommend both the conundrum museum and Miles for a super fun experience!!!

We had so much fun in the Story Tellers Secret! Charlie was an amazing host and there were so many new and fun things to see in the room. Highly recommend (but I would not recommend for children under 10-even if your kid genius ). This room is so beautifully thought out and intricate, great job Fro and team! This was probably my second favorite of the day (right after Storytellers Secret) and Fro was an amazing host! The detail and intention put into each room/puzzle was so inspiring. Fro and his partner have created a masterpiece at Boxaroo, well done!!!

The Museum escape room was very fun and cleverly put together! Miles was very informative and really immersed us into the scenario. Would definitely return for another escape room session.

Fun puzzles that were a range of simple to quite challenging, and a very engaging story. Absolutely loved the staff, they made the experience for us!

We played the Storytellers Secret (at the recommendation of a friend) and had a great time! The construction of the room, both puzzle-wise and physically / tech-wise, was very impressive. I highly recommend it!

Ive done many escape rooms in my day, and Boxaroos room the Storytellers Secret blew me away! From its theatrics, to its plot, to its mechanics - I loved the whole thing! It never felt contrived, and it was so whimsical!

Wow. Ive done 30 escape rooms and we did the storyteller room. It was so much more different than any room Ive ever done. In a good way. You can tell the story, atmosphere and puzzles were extremely well thought out. Our host, Dell, was fantastic and answered any questions we had before and after the room. Even telling us about how the room works with some of the puzzles and the amount of time in the room. Overall highly recommended to anyone new and experienced. I still keep thinking about the room and it makes me smile.

On a family trip to Salem, MA we decided to spend one day in Boston so we booked an escape room! Get to the place and find out I made my reservation for the following day! He said he d try to figure something out and call me back. Luckily an amazing woman Brie who was there doing maintenance on the rooms agreed to let us in and escape our room!! Me and my friends played StoryTeller about 2 months ago. We are from the Philly area so we drive 5 hours just to play this room and it was fantastic. We came back today to play Conundrum Museum and it DID NOT disappoint. It was so fun and a little challenging. We got out with around 20 minutes left and 0 hints (we are a little more experienced than your average player). All of the puzzle were so creative and connected so well. Read full review. I don t want to give too much away but other max was funny and stayed in character! If you are in the area definitely ask for Max as your Game Master. Our party arrived split and half of our group got lost. Kwesi (Wes) went out to go look for them, IN THE RAIN. We appreciated that so much. So thank you so much Kwesi!

Our host was great. The experience was fun, the rooms were so creative and really made you feel like you were somewhere else. We did storytellers secret. It was a unique twist on an escape room. My friends and I enjoyed this room and can t wait to try another.

This was the best escape room of our lives. We are big escape room fans and have done around 10 total. The puzzles were the perfect amount of challenge, and everything worked so well with the full automation. Staff was nice and friendly, story was easy to follow and exciting to complete. We can t wait to go back!
