Wow this place was great. I loved the rooms and how they actually look like the theme. Our game master was Ryan and he was really sweet and helpful. Me and my boyfriend did the spring field meltdown. It was very fun but did get me anxious. Unfortunately we didn t make it on time but we will be back to escape next time.
Really great theming on the rooms and really good concepts and executions of puzzles! Definitely very interactive with a side of brain puzzles. My partner and I only did the Egypt room (the easier one) and we had a great time. We didn t get to finish, but our gamemaster was very friendly and very encouraging. We had a great time, and I look forward to the next time I have time to do one of these. Very fun!!
I went with my family, and we chose the Springfield Meltdown room. This was our first time experiencing an escape room, so perhaps we should have chosen an easy room, because we didnt complete it. However, I could tell other people struggled, too, because several items were broken from people manhandling them. Still, we had a lot of fun, and thats the point!
If you are reading this review to give you some clues as to if you should come to the timebox you re wasting your time reading this. Call now. schedule and go. It is the funnest thing I ve ever done with my kids and their friends. Conveniently located in the Falls mall. I think this is more exciting than a sushi, Mexican, ice cream, movies or anything else what is coming here for.
We had a great experience. The room was well themed, and our guide was wonderful. There were 6 of us, so there were a couple of times where a recorded clue played and someone was talking so we didnt hear it, or we didnt notice a chest coming unlocked after we completed a puzzle. Thankfully Sabrina was watching and made sure we caught it. Thank you Sabrina!
So eerily funny to watch my granddaughter and her friends scurry looking for clues. I laughed the whole time. Great friend n family fun. Cant wait to go back for another room. We did doll room.
The staff was friendly, but the Simpsons themed room had really convoluted puzzles and clues that showed up on the screen and couldnt replay. Things were triggered when no one could see them and more often than not, objects that were irrelevant were an answer to a large clue. I cant say I enjoyed the $45 per person experience. Even at 6 players.
We did the expedition room, but was very short and too easy for us. Just for beginners.
Super cool my daughters loved it
it was a really good experience, we did the dollhouse escape room honestly amazing it s just definitely on the pricy side
After about 6 experiences doing escape rooms at other places in Miami, this one is clearly the best! Our group of 6 did the Magical Things ( Harry Potter inspired ) room and we had so much fun with it! Definitely was a challenge but the GameMaster gave us helpful direction when asked for a clue. The detailing and theming in the room was phenomenal and we re already planning our next visit to try another room. Highly recommend!!
The team for my daughter party was great. They were able to be flexible with our start time and accommodate when one of our guest got scared and we were able to switch with another member of our party since we already paid. Thank you so much. We will come again.
Went Today and here is some feedback I have and about my overall experience 1. CLUES - The clues in the expedition egypt room were very random and didn t follow a chronological order. We often times had to discover what we had to do in order to get it done. We asked for help and sometimes our game master was completely quiet and didn t speak to us at all. If clues are going to be given on screens and not spoken make it more clear. 2. Game master - Our game master was a sweetheart. Sophia was great...
however we wished she gave more detailed clues, mostly the hints she gave were either vague or they were give always as to what to do to get out. She was decent overall! 3. Decor - THE DECOR IN THE EGYPT ROOM IS AMAZING. It was well decorated and it matched the theme perfectly well done on that! However the size of the room was VERY disappointing, the room was very small and size and for the price point you pay for person this room could have been extended. Having three rooms per theme could be beneficial as this room was in my opinion just too small. 4. Lighting - In the egypt room the lighting often times was very dark and hard to see things, we had to either squint or get close enough in order to read the clues or see what needed to get done. 5. ENDING - The ending could be IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY. Having a clue or puzzle to escape the room could be good in order to make the purpose of ESCAPING more fun. We just finished everything and were told the game master would be picking us up shortly. BORING ENDING. MAKE THE ENDING MORE FUN Overall for the price point offered I feel like it is heavily steeped in price for paying for four people to complete an escape room that has two doors. MATCH THE PRICE. Overall - 2/5. Will be back again to give it a try in the near future!
We had a great time! It was hard enough to request clues but easy enough for kids to figure some clues out between the ages of 7-15.
Wow! It was fun and exciting for the kids as well as myself. I would recommend for everyone to seek the experience. The personnel was great with explaining on what to expect as well as given awesome clues. Can t wait to go back
We went with 2 adults and 2 children to escape the Egypt room. The adults in the group have done escape rooms previously. The clues in this room were not relating to each other. There were random riddles coming through the speaker and we had to answer out loud. The speaker was hard to understand and we wasted time running to the screen to read it. Also, because the room was extra dark and we couldnt use flashlights of any sort, it was tougher to see clues or open the locks. The price point didnt match the event. Although we love escape rooms, this was not done well.
Amazing experience! Really enjoyed the doll room my family & I had so much fun! Will definitely be going back!
We did 3 of the Timebox Escape rooms. All of them are great rooms with quality decor, sets, and props. However, they each had some minor puzzle flaws which keep me from giving them 5 stars. For example, one puzzle had 3 dials that needed to be pointed to different symbols to succeed. We found the dials, figured out what the symbols were, and the order of the symbols, but when we went to turn the dials, there was no apparent marking to show which direction the dials were pointing. They had some...
worn out abstract picture on them. It was frustrating to know the solution, but having to guess which way to turn the dials to align them correctly. Each of the rooms had similar minor issues like that. They need to have their puzzle expert go back thru each room and clean up (fix) minor flaws like that. The rooms definitely have potential to be A+ (5 star) rooms with some minor fixes.
Super fun , very recommended, we did the doll house (the hardest room ) it was our first time but definitely not our last .. thanks to David for his courtesy and helping us with clues, all of the staff members were great.
Exciting and fun! We did the zombie bunker and the puzzles were pretty challenging. We ultimately escaped with 5 minutes to spare. We did have to use our three clues though.
First visit. We did the Escape RoomMagical Things. The rooms are beautifully done to the theme. The puzzles are relevant to the theme and gives an immersive experience. Will be returning to do a different room.
As far as theme and detail goes, the room was immaculate. However, the puzzles have no real correlation. You have to oftentimes accidentally stumble on what to do next rather there being a logical or clever way the to transition between the clue you are given and the answer. Or you could ask for a clue and be responded with look at the monitor which for us was in the previous room.
This place is awesome. The game masters are very good. We did The Doll Shop and it was really great!! A very challenging room but also very fun. I highly recommend this place!!
Ive been to previous escape rooms and this is by far the best one. I loved all the things that unlock when solving a puzzle, everything is so thought out, I am definitely coming back again. My sister told me that its cheaper than fox in a box too, totally worth it!
Wonderful experience! Our group did the Magical Things room and it was such an elaborate and a well-thought out room. Staff were so helpful and friendly. I would love to come again and do another room with my friends! Highly recommend this place.
This was my first escape room experience, and we did the Springfield meltdown . This was so much fun! Zach was a great game master. So nice and helpful! I will Definitely be coming back to do more rooms!!!
Was a great experience. Perfect to do with a group of friends for even couples who want to try something new. Customer service was great
Springfield Meltdown was so much fun! Great for Simpsons fans. This was our first escape room and we escaped with 57 seconds to spare! Zach was a great game master and was just as enthusiastic as we were about everything. Highly recommended, we had a great time!
Excellent time at Timebox escape rooms. Very well organized. We did the Egyptian one. Though we couldn t complete it, it was very well done. Definitely recommend! So much fun!
This is a great place for a nice date. It was the first time for both on an escape room and we had an great time. The staff was really great and helped us through out the whole experience. This is a great place for bonding and enjoyment for everyone. Totally recommend it.
