The Escapist Denver

This escape room was great! I ve been to 4 others all over the country and this was the best! Love the multi room concept tons of fun and challenging puzzles. Lots of thought into the design of the rooms. Great that you get a private experience and don t have to be with strangers. Drink prices were super reasonable. Lots of fun board games and N64 to play after your escape room experience. We had a great time!

I came here with a group of work friends and we enjoyed the escape room as it was a nice team building event. Plenty of clues but the staff was super helpful if you re stuck. Then we had some drinks afterward and really enjoyed the atmosphere and vibes. Even if we didn t do the escape room there was a great atmosphere of drinks and board games to have a nice evening with your friends.

Fantastic local businesses! The vibe is amazing and we did the Excalibur room and it was nice. The set was good (although perhaps a few too many drinks spilt on the papers) and a few puzzles I was less of a fan of (a few Amazon puzzle boxes), but as a whole it was a really fun room. There was a cool magic mirror but then the host physically entered the room for hints. I wish they were delivered through the mirror. Difficulty was about right for our group and we had an amazing time. I would come back for the other rooms or just to play some of their many board and video games!

It was awesome! Very different from franchise escape room experiences, there were multiple rooms, lots of clues to manage, but amazing super helpful staff. I did it with kids and we were very liberal asking for clues, and that didnt take away from the satisfaction. Theres also happy hour on Sunday all day, board and video games, and we hung out with teas and hot cocoas after we were done. Really awesome, thank you!

Our group did the Happy Hour room and had a great time! The room was nicely designed. Puzzles were clever and some I had never seen before after doing 40 rooms. Owner was super friendly and nice to chat with. I like the bar and board games vibe. Wish I lived in Denver cause this would definitely be my hang out spot. We made it to the leaderboard, so come try to knock us off

This was my second time doing an escape room and it was such a fun experience! I am slowly getting better at these. Christian was so friendly and throughly explained everything. Next time I m in Denver I will definitely stop by again!

I have been lucky enough to participate in two of the escapre rooms. Once with myself and my best friend and a year later with a group of us (4 people). Both times I had an amazing time. Their rooms are elaborate, but enjoyable. The way that they run their rooms is amazing. I hope to go again when Im back in town.

The best Escape Room we ve played! Really well thought out. We had a blast. I especially love that each reservation is private and you pay per person. Highly recommend!

3.5 is the full rating, but this place is cool for having a bar in the front; however, the props in the room mostly work others not so much. It seems like some of the components require the game master to unlock, which was a bit of a delay for 1-2 things. The second GM we had was kind to add the minutes we lost to the time, and they were overall nice might just need some room maintenance. Planning note: Excalibur is definitely a room suited for 5-7 people. We had 7 people with varying escape experience and we finished with 15-20 mins remaining.

Great rooms and cool vibe! We accidentally booked during the 1st Friday events so things were a little chaotic but the owner really took care of us. The two rooms we did were well designed and the puzzles very cool. Definitely not like anything we have seen before! Cant wait to return and do more rooms!

We had a great experience here! I love escape rooms and this one was a really nice balance of puzzles that we solved quickly and puzzles that took a bit of thought (and eventually one hint). The group before us has evidently been pretty rough, so two of the puzzles werent working as they were meant to. However, both times they stopped the clock and came in to fix the thing right away, so it really didnt impact our game experience at all. We did Excalibur and the room had such a cool vibe. Definitely would come here again to try another room next time were looking for an escape room! Edited to add that we also enjoyed some drinks at the bar and played games for an hour after! Awesome vibe!

This was a ton of fun. We did the nuke room, and this has to be my favorite escape room so far. I am not very good at escape rooms and this was very enjoyable for me. The staff were very friendly and nice. As far as pricing goes, they had a great deal for the full room. Highly recommend.

This was super fun! Some of my group, including me, had never done an escape room before and it was a great experience. Christian was very helpful and we definitely want to come back and try the other rooms! The atmosphere in the bar era was super chill and I loved all the board games and the old video games they had. Even if youre not up for an escape room, or if a couple people in your party dont want to do one the bar area is a great place to chill.

The Escapist venue is very fun and inviting. The owner, Matt, is extremely friendly and inviting as well. This was our first time doing an escape room so Matt was very thoughtful and explained the escape room experience very well. We did the Excalibur room, Which was challenging but so much fun! After our time was done we had the opportunity to take some photos with the props. We stayed to have drinks at the bar and Matt managed to keep our drinks refreshed while still running additional rooms in the back. Overall an amazing experience. You can tell a lot of work and care went into the designs and puzzles. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun game night and drinking with friends!

Happy hour was a really fun room, non linear and interesting puzzles! The bar and the games provided made it a fun place to hang out when we were done too! We will be back!

Coming from out of town, we were on the search for a fun, family activity. We landed on The Escapist because it was kid friendly, had video games, board games, escape rooms for the family and adult beverages, what a combo! We cannot get those all together in Oklahoma. While there we met Noah, he was very good with our boys and prompt in service! He was knowledgeable about the rooms and helped us decide which would be best for the family. He was attentive while we were in the room and cheered us...
Read full review on when we made it out just in the nick of time! We said that was one of the best experiences of our trip! Oh and Noah gave us a tip about airport security that if we hadn t learned, we may have ended up missing our flight! We were running late due to the snow and his trick, saved us just enough time to board! Great job!

Me and my girlfriend played the Excalibur room. While we didn t escape we loved the challenge and all of the unique puzzles. Afterwards, we enjoyed some drinks while we played video games and board games. Super fun and chill spot!

Great price for any occasion! Fun for every type of person! Escape rooms of course, vintage games, board games, bar and drinks, and friendly staff! 100% will be going back again! HIGHLY recommend visiting this fun, hidden gem!

My husband and I had a great time at this place! Puzzles were challenging with lots of creativity brought into the design.

Just came here 12:45pm Monday 6/24. Says theyre open until 4. Door locked and no one answering phone. Paid for parking, went out of our way to get here.

Happy hour is an amazing room. Puzzles are very clever and make you think outside the box. One of my husband and my favorite rooms hands down! Owner is super friendly and enthusiastic to talk with. Margarita and beer were got were both delicious. All the stars for both the fun and interesting room as well as friendly staff and great drinks. Do yourself a favor and check out any of the rooms. Weve done all 3 and they are great. Happy hour is just our favorite!

DYING for them to open the new game room Black Hole. Love this place, great people and escape rooms. We still talk about the cauldron and bookcase!!

Noah was an amazing host - he was slinging drinks, introducing groups to rooms, providing hints, and everything in between, with multiple groups at once. The Spy Room was creative and fun. It was our first visit here and we will definitely return!

we tried the southpacific escape room or I think that was the name we had the pleasure of the owner matt being our host he was awesome i totally recommend this place just to hang out and have some drinks thanks matt you were awesome!

Kind of in a weird location but totally love the vibe! I took my kids for my sons 13th birthday including my 8 year old. We all had a great time! The person working was great and didnt give us too many hints unless she saw us really struggling. We did Excalibur and loved it! Great clues and great vibe! Drinks were good and strong. We had some time to kill after but they had board games and video games to play while we waited. Will be going again.

Just finished one room with family and friends and it was so fun and incredible. We actually are still here and doing a second room! I highly suggest this with anyone it was such a blast! Not to mention the workers and owner are so so nice! Love to support local spots like this. We are already looking forward to bringing more people here!

The experience was great and we did manage to solve the puzzles with some assistance. Our host was also very nice and very outgoing as well. Overall, Id recommend coming here if your looking for a good escape room experience with the added benefits of a bar and some extra games outside.

We did all three rooms and we enjoyed all of them! We really appreciate Matt s kindness and friendliness. He really put a lot into these rooms and I love how there are different puzzles than many other rooms that I ve done. The office one is so unique. I overall loved doing these rooms. We can t wait until his new room comes out, we will be back!
