What an awesome experience and night with my kids! I have 3 boys- 12, 9 and 7. We chose the Haunted Mineshaft story. This put our team work, critical thinking and patience to the test. And what an awesome sight to see their little faces light up with pride as they worked hard and solved the pieces of the puzzle. They had to work for it, but with a clue here and there, got it done. A must for family fun!! And a huge shout out to Jordan, who was so kind when helping me reschedule after a family emergency. Then, she was a fun host, patient with the kids, and might have even given them an extra hint or two. We will for sure be back for another round!

We enjoy participating in escape rooms, but they tend to be pricey. This particular experience was highly enjoyable. Thanks to the Groupon, it became affordable without compromising quality. Britney provided exceptional assistance and friendliness, making it a memorable experience. Wed definitely return if given the opportunity.

Had a blast! Did the Wizarding World as a party of eight! Zach was so helpful and helped us get unstuck a time or two. He was friendly and patient with our brood of heathens! We will definitely be coming back!

A group of 5 of us decided to do the Harry Potter room and it went horribly. The first room was fine but the moment we got into the second room the door to the third room was open. Two of us went inside the third room and the attendant came in and apologized and said that her boss had left the door open and wasnt supposed to have done that. We had to figure out how to get a room open that wed already been inside of (and explored). We got inside the third room and the fourth room without issue but...
the crystal they provide you wasnt charging. In the fourth room we noticed the chest was open. We were trying to figure it out when the game master once again came in the room to tell us that her boss had left that chest open and it shouldnt have been open. Then we had to work from there. We asked for a clue with 41 minutes left and after 4 minutes figured it out without a clue. Then we got a clue after we were beyond that point (that we no longer needed). Then we asked for a clue with 17 minutes left. The TV completely froze. We checked all 3 TVs in the room and they were all frozen. We couldnt get a clue because of this and once again the game master came into the room to apologize. At the end when we attempted to put the crystal where it belonged but it did nothing. Like I mentioned the crystal hadnt been charging. We asked for a clue at that point because it was the final step. Once again the TVs all froze so we couldnt get a clue and then the TV turned on and started the video that plays when you first enter the escape room. It looked like we got out in 40 seconds because the TV had restarted our time. It was just a cool looking room but it had too many issues and things werent working the way they were supposed to. The game master apologized to us again and then gave us her two bosses phone numbers. She said call them and they should be able to help you out. We stayed inside the building because we wanted to speak to a manager before leaving. The two bosses ignored our calls and forwarded us to voicemail. We tried calling with multiple phones because like I said there were 5 of us. We sent text messages but received no response. Conveniently, when the game master called they answered them and ironically they were both too occupied to help at the moment. I would give zero stars if I could but Google requires you to select one. There are several great escape rooms in Denver. Id try ANY of them before going here. Do not waste your time! Save your money!! EDIT: Of course after complaining Im getting a reply here. Theyre claiming the person working was bullied to the point of tears. It is not so farfetched to say Im not leaving until I speak with a member of management to rectify the situation. We left after we received the information while whoever replied to me is claiming we refused to leave. Nobody asked us to leave. They are acting like we were screaming at the game master. That is not the case. There were five of us and at no point did we scream or yell. Asking to speak to a manager after a horrible experience isnt ridiculous. The way an owner replies to a dissatisfied customer on Google after we were ignored for hours is distasteful. If there are cameras at this location you will see that nobody attacked a staff member. Give yourself zero stars for your lack of customer service or accepting the fact which is that you gave us a bad experience by not having the room set up properly. It wasnt one thing that was wrong, it was at least five things. As a human being accept when you are wrong and take accountability. You messed up, not me. The only thing deserving of zero stars is you and the way a member of management handles these situations and attacks their customers for speaking up about a very negative experience. Also, shame on you for not having a member of management available to assist the game master when this issue arose. There were no other customers in the business when this happened and I want to clarify that as the owner is lying rather than accepting fault for their shortcomings.

I recently attended the Jurassic escape room here and honestly I think other escape rooms in the area do it better. It wasnt the fact that we didnt escape it was the fact that we couldnt achieve anything because of too much sound and constant strobing lights. I understand that these were part of the room for environmental effects but we would have to think twice if we were aware that was going to be an issue. The last part of the puzzle had 5 locks in the room that were for employees only and werent...
properly marked so we were testing them the entire time like they were part of the room. We wasted time because everything has a lock on it come to find out that the very first key we obtained was used on the final lock with no context. There were technical difficulties that caused us to waste time that were beyond our controll. Again, I understand the need for things like locks where employees need to access the building and you cant completly hide those parts however I would think a sign like HD Escape Rooms Staff Only or making locks marked so they are different than the other locks in the room and making it so guests are aware of those would be a good approach to the issue.

Jordan was super helpful and explained everything well before going into the room. We really liked it! Would definitely come back! We got stumped for sure but it wasnt overly complicated. The Wrong Turn addition is a fun little bonus and pretty easy.

Jordan is the coolest!! Wouldnt have finished the puzzle without her and she was very accommodating. She made the whole experience that much better. Try to go when shes working! Thank you so much, great experiment.

Brittney was a great host for the escape room! She was very welcoming and very informative upon entering the room. I loved the environment. We went in with 2 other people that also added to the experience. Would definitely go again!

The place is amazing. Very friendly environment and great set up of the rooms. The girl at the front named Kate was kind and welcoming. She took her time to educate the kids and later provided me with updates on their progress since I was waiting in the waiting room. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful time! The multi sensory experience was an awesome way to experience our fist escape room! Jeff was an outstanding host and we were so close to finishing on our own Jeff s enthusiasm for us to pull through guided us to the end with a few extra hints! We will be returning for the Wizard World soon! Kelly

Bad experience, wouldnt recommend As a business owner you should have handled this better. The fact that we came to your business to enjoy and and have fun, but the room wasnt ready and in working condition, its on you, not us. It seems as if you dont want to take responsibility, but only blame us and tell lies. We never asked for your number, there were no other people there, and you didnt respond to our calls. So, if you do want to be honest, take responsibility and fix your business.

Note: this is a review about business practices, not the quality or content of the experiences/rooms. We had a group and we re about to book but sticker shock on the mandatory booking fee and mandatory gratuity were too much. I feel the fees to operate should be reflected in the upfront advertised price. Generic fees for the platform used to book aren t a reasonable add on. While I am more than willing to tip for good service, a mandatory 18% with only an explanation of higher costs in Colorado...
is unacceptable in my view. Tips are discretionary and earned. Forcing them creates negative customer sentiment unnecessarily. The final cart was 25% higher than expected and result was us feeling deceived. We decided to back out and look for another option. I m sure the rooms are fun, but just not the right way to do business in my opinion.

Last weekend, we visited an escape room with a group of friends. We ve tackled about five escape rooms before, and while we ve had some close calls, we ve managed to escape each time. However, my review isn t focused on whether we escaped or not. What matters to me is the quality of the experience. If the equipment was faulty and some puzzles and locks seemed designed just for the room without proper markings or clarity, then it s not a well-designed escape room in my opinion. We tried the Jurassic...
Park-themed room. Unfortunately, our experience was less enjoyable than expected. The music and sound effects were so loud that we struggled to hear the instructions and unlock clues, which led to us missing important details and becoming confused. Additionally, when we reached the second room, we faced difficulty finding the correct key due to several unrelated locks, which were not clearly marked. This caused us to waste time and become disoriented. We encountered a few technical issues during our session. The unlocking box failed to open even after we solved it, and we had only one flashlight for our group of five, which made it challenging to split into two teams effectively. As a result, we had to rely on our cell phones for light. Additionally, the blacklight flashlights batteries were nearly depleted, making it very difficult to see the clues we needed. Moreover, two of my friends, who are sensitive to strobing and flashing lights, experienced migraines and headaches, and these conditions were not mentioned in the waiver or claims. Sadly they ended up suffering and feeling bad the rest of the weekend. After attempting multiple times to discuss improvements with the owners including concerns about potential headaches and migraines, not just epileptic seizures, which should be mentioned in the waiver I received no response. Despite sending two emails and making two phone calls (where I was told to just email and they would get back to me), I still haven t heard back. I m disappointed that I paid over $200 for a group of friends to have an unenjoyable experience and then suffer medical issues for the rest of the weekend. I wouldn t recommend this place. Even though they have a Wizard/Harry Potter room, it s not worth it if the puzzles and clues are broken and you re unable to escape the room. I would highly recommend 303 Escape - Denver Escape Room this was our favorite escape room we did!

This was our first ever Escape Room and we couldn t have picked a better spot! Our host, one of the owners, was amazing patient and welcoming and really wanted us to have an amazing experience! The props were super believable and the experience was so much fun! Can t wait to come back.

Max was a great escape room host. We loved the wizarding world as we are huge Harry Potter fans. Would recommend!

What a blast! We just did the redesigned wizarding world room and loved it, so many little Easter eggs for even the smallest of wizarding fans, and tons of fun and creative puzzles even for those unfamiliar with the wizarding world. Host was entertaining and friendly. Can t wait to try the other rooms. They have other locations that I haven t done yet but definitely will soon

We did the Wizarding World room and had so much fun! It gives you a glimpse into the magical world so many of us love, and even got to use wands!! Definitely will need to check out some of the other rooms in the future.

Oof. I would NOT recommend this location for a number of reasons. The staff did not properly reset the room so after 15+ minutes of working on a series of multiple puzzles and thinking we are doing it incorrectly, we realize that this entire process was pointless because the item that was to be released for completing the puzzles was part of an open box that should have been sealed and released after you finish the beginning set correctly. That means everything is being done out of sequence and that staff admitted they didnt lock the box which would have opened to reveal the missing item to move onto the next task. They didnt seem to care whatsoever. Huge disappointment.

A great couples night out, celebrating 2 big birthdays! Our group did the haunted mine shaft (rated difficult) and it was a ton of fun. Brittany was our instructor for the explanation part; she was so friendly and had a great attitude! We will definitely be back.

Absolutely horribly ran business. I m not understanding how as a business owner you failed so many times today. You failed my family when we booked an escape room and at least 4 of the locks/doors that were supposed to be LOCKED were not at all. Every time the game master came in to fix one of the several issues, she made sure to tell us it was your in fact YOUR fault that the room was not setup correctly. She was then left alone to fix an issue that she did not create. You failed us and then you...
failed her as a piss poor excuse of a boss. I said I wanted to speak to you and for whatever reason she decided to give me both of your personal numbers instead of just calling you herself. When she called you herself, you still didn t give her any assistance as a boss and simply just kept telling us to email you. You failed her repeatedly today. This doesn t reflect poorly on me. This does nothing to me at the end of the day. You continue to respond to the negative reviews that you deserve with absolute lies. No one was in the lobby but us; there were no other customers in sight. This reflects poorly on your business. Good luck, you need it.

The girl that was at the register was extremely sweet and enthusiastic. However, we have done many escape rooms, and this was the first time that we showed up to an escape room and we were told we had to do it with strangers. I don t recall seeing anything on the website, letting us know that it would be other people other than the four that we booked. I have extreme social anxiety, and we were escorted into a room with eight people, 4 which we did not know. This needs to be on your...
website and if it is on your website, then it needs to be Out in the open, For $140 we would like it to be just a four of us. On top of that, please be prepared to pay $7.50 for a booking fee and $22.50 for gratuity, Both of which are absolutely ridiculous charges. I would maybe suggest going to a different escape room.

Absolutely amazing room, so realistic and interactive. Jordan was an awesome game master and explained everything so well which was super helpful for first timers in the group. The design and detail of the room is top notch. If you are looking to actually feel like you are living the game, this is the company to go with!

Our HD Escape Room experience was disappointing. We did the Wizarding World escape and, although the theme was cool and the rooms had some neat effects, some of the puzzles did not work properly, which basically ruined the experience. In addition, these rooms dont really accommodate more than one group well. Puzzles are not complicated enough and there wasnt enough to do in each room. Our family of 2 kids and 2 adults (with another group of 2 young people) made it out in about half the allotted...
time, so I felt cheated at the end. The staff member was very friendly and attempted to help when the room wasnt working right, but it just ruined the experience. In the end, we were left asking Is that it!? This was our sixth or seventh escape room experience, and this one was definitely subpar. Cant speak to the other rooms at HD Escape Westminster, but Id skip the Wizarding World unless you are a small group with young kids and maybe this is your first escape room experience. And, maybe its just me, but I hate having to pay for a tip before I have received the service I am tipping on. Its a poor business practice that is becoming all too common.

We did the Wizarding World. It was great fun, and very realistic. But my son got dizzy and drowsy. I love all the details that made it feel like we were really in the Harry Potter world.
