Came for a last minute axe throwing session. It was very cold in the basement of this location so we stayed maybe 30 minutes and decided to leave. Other groups seemed to be having loads of fun with paint splatter and the rage room. Definitely try another activity when it warms up a bit. If you are going in the colder months - dress warm!

We had so much fun in the Rage room. They furnished the tools. We were able to throw metal sheets around the room, which was very satisfying. BrainyActz did furnish small clear glass containers. The website site says you can also bring items, but they need to be approved by the staff, so maybe call first. There are other rooms that you can do paint splatter, throw axes, Nerf wars, and escape rooms. We will be coming back to do the paint splatter next. Easy access in Tacoma. Parking was right out front, on the street. Very friendly staff too.

Booked a 20-minute slot for rage room and an hour axe throwing for a friend, and I. 10 to 12 small and medium jars and some metal sheet panels to hit. Thats it. We were both done in less than 5 minutes. Super disappointing! Axe throwing was fun. We were really looking forward to breaking some stuff up. Literally spent 75 bucks a piece and was only in the building for 35 minutes. Total rip off.

Worst escape room Ive ever been too. Poorly lit (and no flashlights provided, couldnt use our phones because of the escape room rules), clues that were so worn that you couldnt read them. Floors were falling apart and a complete tripping hazard. Clues were completely disjointed and did not have much context for how to utilize the clues once solved. Drawers stuck in the cabinets and wouldnt open so we missed several clues due to faulty equipment. I brought my family and paid over $200 for this garbage and ruined my birthday. Completely run down and gross escape room, would not return, would not recommend. Edit: also, staff member told us to come back for an easier escape room.

Absolutely loved working with BrainyActz in Tacoma to help my partner solve the most elaborate puzzle yet The manager, Leo, was super helpful and went above and beyond throughout the entire process. Thank you for making our story as unique as can be!

Well, I dont know....its a place that is clearly focused on escape rooms. Which I did not have the opportunity to partake in. But the kid had a blast with his good friend. They had a Nerf War go down for an hour. Im certainly interested in the escape rooms gonna have to give it a shot

Came here for a work holiday party and did the axe throwing. We had a great time. The throwing tools (axes of varying sizes, shovel heads, metal cards, and knives) were dull so not many of them stuck but it s a great way to get energy out! Would recommend going with a smaller group (we were 4).

I went with a friend to do the Rage room and we were very disappointed. Going down into the basement was very messy and creepy, it was like they didnt care about keeping it clean. The room was empty and we got 10 jars, nothing else, I do not recommend this place for the rage room

Ton of Fun! None of us out of our group of seven had ever done an escape room before. We did The Secrets of the Master and completed it with 7 minutes to spare out of our hour and only had to use 2 hints, so the difficulty felt just right. Austin, our host, was very professional and his customer service was awesome! Our only complaint was the heat, they had fans but they didnt help much. The only thing the fans did were make it hard to hear. It was also difficult to focus and solve problems in such high heat but if youre among friends, its not too bad. Very fun experience and we plan to come back!

Did the rage room. Not impressed. The 10-12 glass items were just little Masson jars. The TV was already broken, definitely not worth the 40$ in my opinion.

I have done over 40 escape room and unfortunately this location has hit the absolute bottom of my list. I have done all the rooms here and each room has had: 1. An issue with a broken puzzle/tech that doesn t work 2. Something very worn down with the flooring/wall (I.e. flooring coming up) 3. Issues with getting clues/communicating with the game master. Being an escape room enthusiast this is sad to see as there is clearly a lack of care and commitment to a good experience from the management. I...
feel bad for the folks that work there as they clearly aren t set up for success. I would not recommend spending money here. Especially the Legacy room, we had two major technical issues that prevented us from proceeding. Hopefully there can be some investment put in to turn this place around.

Had a great experience in one of the Escape rooms! Me and some coworkers had a team building day, and it was allot of fun. Definitely made you think, you had no idea what was next! Luckily, there was a few of us so we made it through! Would definitely do this again!

Not a great escape room place. We did 2 of them and many things were wrong. Great puzzles to be honest but a lot of them are worn down and hard to see. Also the floors, I have never been in an escape room place were I have gotten hurt on the floor. The floors were all over the place, should not have to watch the floor just to not trip. Also some of the props were falling apart. I ve read some of these reviews from people and the owner said they would take it to account and fix it but yet nothing has changed from what I ve read. This is a okay place for escape rooms but don t expect to get your moneys worth from it.

This was the worst escape room Ive ever experienced. Everything was so cheaply made that the person working had to enter the room multiple times when something didnt work. The music was extremely loud, which the worker remarked upon but didnt fix (wow thats so loud! oh well), the room was incredibly dark and the flashlight they give you does nothing to illuminate the space. Between the lights and audio and tactile issues, this escape room was also one of the least accessible Ive ever been to. Additionally...
, the worker was extremely rude and condescending and unhelpful; she made repeated remarks about how much she disliked her job and working before we got into the room -- which I dont really mind, it was just odd how much she felt she needed to tell us that she didnt want to be there -- was very rude about having misspoken the rules (if you can move it with a light touch and being angry that we moved things...with a light touch; telling us there will be a lock with a do not touch label and not mentioning the label was hidden; etc), and was just really bringing down the whole thing. Also, their website is broken, they know, they dont care. That was a lot of money to pay for an extremely disappointing experience that spoiled our moods for the rest of the day. There are better escape rooms out there, better ones in Tacoma, with more care, thought, love, and attention to detail than this one could dream of. Please check those out, and leave this one off your list.

Has potential but was unclean and smelled very bad. The rage room suits and gloves were clearly not clean and smelled bad. The employee at the front desk also unfortunately had very strong body odor that was extremely offputting. Overall it has potential to be a great place but its hard to get past the conditions and smell

What a waste of money. Had a ok time with the nerf area this is an extremely low budget activity. Funny how they charge so much .i had a party of 8 did the nerf wars and the escape room. The host didn t want to be there it was very apparent they spoke so fast when explaining the rules of the escape room. Just extremely run down ghetto low budget stuff. Looked like they got everything at goodwill. There was objects that were out in the open that were supposed to be locked up. At one point the host had to take and object out of the play area because it was broken. And bring it back when it was fixed Needless to say I will not be going back for the 20% off they gave us. Total waste of money and time. Do not waste your money on this.

We had a pretty bad experience. We are all fairly smart and we couldnt even get the first clue, which would have been fine except that the clue didnt make sense you couldnt have figured out what you are supposed to do with it without a hint. The items are run down, they said no more than 2 finger pressure was required to open anything so we didnt open a drawer that was really important because it was stuck, the clues were so dark and the room was dark you really struggled to see the clues...
and the room was so small you trip on your team in a group of 6. The people dont watch you so when you ask for a clue theyre not able to help you quickly. It was overall a waste of money. The floors were falling apart causing tripping. The cipher were so worn you couldnt read them. It was just not worth the 200 dollars we spent at all.

Im giving 2 only because the first time I went in I had the best service ever. We spotted you guys as we were driving. We came inside and asked about your activities, we were given a tour and a coupon to comeback around my birthday. There was no mention of reservations. When we came back on June 15th, 2024 around 3:30pm, we were greeted by 2 employees Ive never seen before. A man I can best describe as Bubbles from TPBs, and a femme dressed like cyberpunk. Was never introduced, no name...
tags, and the only thing out the mans mouth was reservation? Like a damn automated system. The femme had plowed their way through my group just to stand next to him and never talk. Unfortunately, if it gone differently, I wouldve stayed around to have them personally book something for me. I felt too unwelcomed and a bother to probably ever come back here unless somehow I knew I would be dealing with the plenty of other PLEASANT people that work there.

My child celebrated her birthday party at the Tacoma location. All things considered it was enjoyable but the birthday cake they sent that came with the escape room package served 6-8 & we had a party of 10 guest including birthday child and there was no way to stretch the ice cream cake. I had to run and get cupcakes at a nearby store. Maybe be mindful and double check when you book a party with them?

Came from delaware to see my brother in the army. He wanted to do this escape room we booked for 6pm. Standing here now its 618pm no one is here. If you call the number on the door you end up talking to a man in Nevada while we are in Washington telling me that the man has car trouble but he will be there in 10 mins. I explained to him how as a consumer that doesnt even live in the state of Washington this is horrible business. He has now currently contacted my brother back and said 15mins so I...
guess we will be doing this escape room whenever. I would try somewhere very more professional. The guy in Nevada said he is the sales manager and he does know what he can help me with. The funny thing is he was actually getting upset with ME because I was requesting a solution that actually made sense to the unfortunate event. Absolutely love Ryan he was a amazing benefit to the experience. He did explain that he did not know we booked so he came as fast as he could. He was such a pleasure I will rate it 4 stars. Even though it was a couple of minor malfunctions. He is the bestttttt

Horrible. If I could give this review 0 stars I would. I had gone to a Rage Room a few years ago so I was very excited to take my husband for his birthday! It was a terrible experience. The ticket was $40 for 1 person. The pictures and videos online show a room with multiple things to break. We got there at our appointment time. We sat waiting close to 10 minutes without seeing any staff whatsoever. When someone finally came out, We were led downstairs to their garage which was dirty and unorganized...
. The rage room was a glorified a closet. And there were 12 mason jars to break. Nothing was in the room besides that. I asked the host why it was empty if it was a rage room and the pictures online show stuff in the room to break. and she said thats all they had right now, didnt offer to add anything or reduce the price.. but if I wanted to PURCHASE things to break I could. She led me over to the junk area. And showed me that I could buy a broken fax machine for $150 (but she would do it for $100), a broken tv for $50. Or a ratty suitcase for $25. Because I could tell my husband was very disappointed that there was literally nothing to break, I asked if she would do $80 for the fax machine. Her reply is no because she gets commission off what items she sells. We ended spending $25 on top of our $ 40 for the empty room to buy the suitcase which was probably less than $5 at goodwill. Just so he would have something. The helmet my husband put on smelled like Body odor and the room looked like it hadnt been swept or prepared. He broke the mason jars pretty quickly. Needless to say the cloth suitcase was not the same as breaking tvs, plates or office equipment.... It was stupid. But had we not bought the suitcase he would have been bored in 3 min. She also acted like she expected a tip when we were done. We tried to make the best of it but his birthday was ruined, it was far from a rage room and definitely not worth $40. I will not be back! There are much better rage rooms worth the money. And from reading the comment responses from Brainy Actz after the fact, they dont care whether you had a terrible experience or not, they dont care to make it right, they dont refund your money and they dont say anything other than, were sorry it didnt live up to your expectations ... Sorry excuse for a business. I would strongly advise anyone to choose a different establishment for any event or celebration.

Complete waste of time and money! We went to the rage room today, there was nothing in the room except 3 small sheets of metal and they put 8 very small glasses in the room. When I complained the host said we could come back another time when they would have more things our apartment was booked 2 weeks in advance they should ve called and let us no they didn t have supplies to break. We were offered to do something else but we were there for the rage room. She seemed irritated we weren t happy. Instead of 20 minutes raging we were each done on less then 10 minutes.

Spend your money somewhere else. Opened a half hour later than scheduled, employee showed zero empathy for making us wait. Then the second employee was late to guide our escape room. Our guide told us that our room was set up incorrectly so even tho we did figure clues out, it seemed like we didnt because they led to no where. We spent 10 minutes asking for help with no response because our guide was in the bathroom and the walky-talky they provide gets crossed with other radios in the area. Zero likelihood to recommend.

Very disappointing experience. My husband and I did the Legacy room together. The sound was too loud and we couldnt hear over it. The clues were confusing and we often spent more time working on locks that had nothing to do with solving the puzzle. During the explanation, the gal showed us how to use one of the locks that in the end had nothing to do with the challenge. The walkie talkie had interference and they had to interrupt at one point to fix it, which just resulted in more interference...
. When asked for a clue, we could overhear the front desk gals in the other room say the following: How are they lost? This is so easy! Im sorry but everyone works differently and we dont need to hear your judgement as we are paying for this experience. Will not be coming back.

They gave us maybe 6 cups and old metal scraps. The room is tiny. Do not recommend!

Incredible! Went there with my family. 20 minutes a person with various tools, and you can pick the music you beat things to! Excellent service, would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic time and the person that walked us through the entire process was amazing! After experiencing a loss, this is my grief relief of choice and I couldnt have chosen better.

Really cool place with lots of different activities to choose from! Been here for escape room and axe throwing. Really enjoyed escape room, dont remember which one it was. Axe throwing was alright as area down stairs was too dark and they had a door open (maybe for light) but it beamed at your face. Walls and fence dividers were pretty beat up however they had various things to throw; axes in 3 sizes, knifes, cards, and 2 shovels (one of which you can stick handle if you try).

Absolutely terrible. The escape room we used had arbitrary items in the room we used that needed a code to open, there was no code for the item, so it distracted us from doing other things in the room. The lock we had to open for a certain part, barely worked so when we put in the code, the lock didnt open, the person had to come in the room and tell us that we had the right code and help us open the lock. Then the end of the escape room didnt even work and they had to reset the room for it to open for us. Way too overpriced for the all the things that didnt work. Do not recommend this place at all

Speaking for the rage room only-Don t waste your money. The only reason I m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the staff- they are very sweet. A friend and I booked the rage room- the video and description online is incredibly misleading. We were very surprised- 100% not as described. As noted in other reviews, the rage room is a joke and a complete waste of money. Brainy Actz has responded to a lot of these negative reviews saying they take feedback seriously, but that doesn t...
appear to be the case as we have all the same complaints. There were 15 small pieces of glass (about the size of a hand) for each of us to break during our session. Aside from that, there wasn t anything (other than a few pieces of crumpled metal and what I think was once a tv? It was too destroyed to recognize). The room itself is very small. Allotted time is 20 minutes, but I can t imagine anyone spending the full 20 in there- there aren t enough items to hit. We each spent about 6 minutes in the rage room and that was really stretching our time/glass pieces out. Did we make the most of it and have a good time? Sure. Is it worth the price? Absolutely not.
