Breakout Games - Virginia Beach

I love escape rooms and have played many around the world. I recently visited Breakout Virginia Beach and thought it was not worth the cost. It is surprising because Ive played at other Breakout locations and found them to be of good value for the money. Read full review, and we played the Bomb Squad and Kidnapping 2: Afraid of the Dark Rooms. We escaped the Bomb Squad room and came close to escaping Kidnapping 2. Although they were fun, I was expecting more from the rooms. On the positive side, our gamemasters, Mick and Noah, were great and made the experience better. I believe that a gamemaster can make or break an escape room experience, and these two definitely made it better. Would I recommend Breakout VB? Maybe, but only if you have a large enough group to make the cost worth it. Parking is available.

Breakout Games is a chain escape room experience with multiple locations. I wont be reviewing on the rooms or pricing as I know those are controlled by corporate. I will only review this specific Virginia Beach location. This location is small but surprisingly has like 10 escape room experience. I am working to win all the rooms. I only have 4 more to go. There is free parking in front. There is free water. Lastly, a fun photo area with a professional grade studio light and camera.

It was fun! Shout out to our game master Sydney! One word of advice regarding the room we were in, I think a lot of confusion could be avoided in the future if you guys changed the word statements to descriptions . Great room, everything worked well. We played the Bomb Squad room, and we were very pleased. We have done many escape rooms throughout the country, and we have seen great rooms, as well as poor rooms. The room had many different locks, and different types of puzzles. Also, Dylan was a great #gamemaster !

This place is so fun, I had such an amazing time. You get to pick the type of scenario you want for the games. The different choices they had were awesome. I suggest the murder mystery but I am sure all are great! I would def come back!

Alex was wonderful and very helpful. We enjoyed our experience and had a lot of fun. It was a nice break from the normal beach activities. I highly recommend giving it a try to see if you can escape!

Had the best time doing the Kidnapping 2 my wife and I had an amazing time and were challenged in such a fun way! Our game master Sydney was incredible! So friendly and engaging! 10/10

#GameMasterJude was amazing. She explained the rules and made sure we understood everything so we could have a great first experience. We did Clue and it was awesome. Definitely looking forward to going back and doing more of them. Tha k you!!!!

Game master Sage was great. Led me blindfolded and didnt run me into a wall once. Explained it well and didnt make us feel like dummies when we asked for hints. The kidnapping room was very cool.

This was my first time at breakout. I had the best time! Our game master was so nice and I feel like she didn t give us too many hints. We did the clue one and it was SUPER interactive and SO FUN. #gamemasterjane

we had the chance to experience the clue room and it was awesome. It was a very hands on room,minus my couple of jumps from different clues. Our game master helped us a couple of times we nicknamed her queen Elizabeth. We made it out in time... Thanks for the amazing time #gamemasterjane

I had a really great time here! My friends and I didn t escape but we had a great time trying and the puzzles were really challenging! Dylan was a great game master and was super helpful with the clues. Would definitely come back again especially if Dylan is our game master!!

So fun! 3 adults and 5 kids aged 8-13 broke out of the Museum Heist in the record time of the week. Our host, Jacqueline, was awesome! Great clues and puzzles that were challenging yet solvable for our group. Everyone was ready to stay for another round in a different escape room. We will definitely be back!

It was our first time and we are new to escape rooms. We had a great time as it s hard to find themes that are not scary for my youngest child. Very friendly atmosphere, our game master made our experience great by giving us the right number of clues. Loved the pictures at the end. Would definitely do it again.#gamemasterjane

Game Master Gracie was the absolute best! The rooms are challenging and attainable and when she noticed us struggling she asked if we wanted a clue and gave a slight hint that wasn t giving it away so we still had a feeling of accomplishment.

Mick was an awesome game master! We had such a fun time at Breakout Bomb Squad. Definitely would recommend, great puzzles and a good balance of challenging and activities! Thank you so much Breakout!

Star (aka Daddy) was an amazing game master! We made it out of the kidnapping room with only 27 seconds to spare, and we did have to ask for a couple of clues. They were calm and gave us clear directions when we needed it! All together was great evening with lots of fun!

We did the casino guest and our game master Edward was amazing. he was so helpful and he was so kind. I ve done multiple escape rooms and never had a game master this nice. He was fantastic. Also he gave wonderful hints which were crucial to our escape. Without him we would have not escape we probably would not of been able to do the first part. He was so joyous and happy it made me happy to. All of my fellows escape loved Edward as well. He was a beautiful well spoken young men and if I ever go back I would love for him to be my game master again.

This was an awesome first time experience. Jane did a great job as the Game Master and giving clues to help us better solve our case. I would definitely recommend this to those looking for something fun to do while on vacation.

Mel was a great game master. We had so much fun. Mystery Mansion was a great place for us to start.

We did the Clue game today and it was so much fun! Jane was an amazing game master! She gently nudged us when we needed help, and we definitely couldnt have done it without her. I would definitely recommend this game!

NOAH IS THE BEST! Not only did he kidnap us he fed us snacks! Super animated! This job was made for him! We love NOAH GOD he spoke to us from the heavens in our rooms with clues to help us thrive! This is literally the BEST PLACE! No other place comes close!

We had a blast!!!! Jackie was awesome. I would definitely go again!! The theme was really well thought out and the experience really exceeded my expectations.

Mick was fantastic!! This was our first ever escape room, and Mick helped to make the experience a great one. She provided a nice balance between letting us figure things out and recognizing when we really needed a hint! My husband and I will definitely be back again!

Nico was our game master, we did the museum heist. The game was really fun. Some challenging clues but not too difficult. Will definitely be back!
