Hidden Gems Escape Room Mechanicsville

Now this was a great experience! We try different escape rooms wherever we go and this one (Elixir) was particularly challenging but doable. We only required one hint but we were on the right track so next group to try, yall got this! My group had a very nice time here and would love to explore the other options they have. Game master was very friendly and same for game designer. Thanks guys! We appreciated the hospitality and if were in the area, well gladly come back to try that sleepy hollow or christmas themed!

Our family had a great time here!! This was our familys first escape room experience and it couldnt have been more fun. We did the Sleepy Hollow room. We were a little slow starting, probably because it was our first time, but once we got going, we finished the room in just under the alotted hour. The owners/managers were super nice and made us feel very welcome. The puzzles were fun, not super easy, but not too difficult where our children were out of it. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who enjoys Escape Rooms.

My family and I escaped from sleepy hollow. Best escape room we have been to! The owners were very passionate about their craft and it shows in the rooms. The rooms are very well put together and decorated. The clues to unlock the next rooms were intricate and exciting. We did these rooms on a whim and we were very thoroughly entertained. Were exited to try the other rooms available!

My husband and I went for date night and had the best time. The puzzles and riddles were great!!! The staff was amazing and super helpful as this was a first time for us attempting an escape room. They even gave us extra time!!!

Had a blast! Staff was great room decorated beautifully! Today we did the north pole and elixir! Highly rexxomend!

A really fun time! We did Sleepy Hollow and it was a blast. The staff was awesome and friendly. The room was challenging but we completed it with 0:34 seconds to spare. Will be back soon to try a different room.

Such a great place! If you are new to escape rooms, Hidden Gems is a good start. But make no mistake, if you are an escape room regular, you will most definitely be challenged. All the rooms are of excellent quality with strong story lines and great immersion with a creative use of puzzles that flow well. A major plus is that the owners are super sweet and really care about your experience! Highly recommend! You will not be disappointed.

My family & I went here and did the Sleepy Hollow escape room. It was so well done, the decor inside was just what I d expect in the actual movie! While we did need quite a few hints, we were able to make it out within seconds of the timer. The staff were informative, professional, and the experience was so much fun. I d recommend this escape room to anyone! It was a great time for us and our family. 10/10.

We had the best experience at Hidden Gems today, trying two of their amazing and creative rooms. Each room was completely different with their own clever and inventive puzzles. The owners are super friendly and have a really wonderful business here - we had a great time as a family and look forward to coming back again soon.

My family and I live escape rooms. Hidden Gems was one we didn t realize was there. Once we found it, we visited and instead of playing 1, we played 2 escape rooms as they were so fun and extremely well done. They put a lot of work in to these rooms and the puzzles were extremely fun to figure out. Hands down we would recommend Hidden Gems for an escape room experience. We will be back to do their charisma one and any new ones they build Thank you for putting together such great rooms

This was such a fun experience! I loved how different and creative all the rooms were. The owners were super sweet too. We will definitely be back!

I gave the experience as a gift to all the Moms in my family. Three generations of us went and we all had the absolute best time! We all laughed and talked about it the whole rest of the day. Best gift ever! We will definitely be going again.

My best friend and I are escape room aficionados. Weve traveled all over Virginia and have completed all of the rooms at Hidden Gems. They were absolutely wonderful! The rooms were well crafted, immersive and had fun and unique puzzles that had us excited to do more! We are anxiously awaiting more rooms and will be back right when they open. We highly recommend Hidden Gems with some of the best escape rooms in the Richmond Area.

I absolutely love this place. You can clearly tell the owners appreciate escape rooms. The detail in the room is amazing. After we finished, we chatted with one of the owners and the passion was just pouring out of her talking about the room. Please find a way to experience this awesome business.

We were with a party of 5 and went through Sprinkletons Revenge. It was a great experience. The puzzles and the rooms were well made. The atmosphere of the rooms.really took you on a trip to get you involved in the storyline. Before we started we were given great instructors with demos of the various locks we would encounter. If you are looking for unique one of a kind puzzles this is a great place to visit. We highly recommend it.

Highly recommended! Our Girl Scout troop attended tonight and had an amazing time! They have three rooms and are adding a forth! Amazing employees and the rooms are done extremely well!

We booked Hidden Gems for a staff outing for team building. The owners were amazing to work with - both in the planning stage and the actual event time. The rooms are so much fun and very challenging. Highly recommend them! We will definitely go back!

The husband and I have done 95% of the escape rooms that are available in the Richmond area. We were overjoyed to see a new location had opened up! They did not disappoint! Every detail is crafted beautifully, and you can see the meticulous effort that each person put in. The room was truly a work of art and does a phenomenal job of bringing you into the ambiance of the story. Our group had an amazing time in the Sleepy Hollow room and even broke the current record! I look forward to experiencing the other rooms, until next time!!!

We escaped the Elixir room! That room has to be the best room Ive ever played. I loved being able to do more hands on things besides locks and codes! It was so much fun! The staff/owners are so nice and communicated so well! We ended up doing another room immediately after and enjoyed that one as well. Cant wait to try their next set of rooms!

My family took on the challenge in one of the rooms available at Hidden Gems. We had a blast! Our group had ages from 21-75 and each person was able to contribute to our escape. So glad to have this hidden gem in our community!

We had a really GREAT time. It was so much fun. The artwork was amazing. It was fun to keep looking for the next clue. Singing the Christmas song and dancing was my favorite. Cant wait to come back again. Thank you Jesse and Kim for this experience!! We cant wait to do the next room.

The wife and i love escape rooms. We are close to the 150 played count. We played two of their rooms..the lab room and christmas room. The lab room was great theme and room decoration was great. Even some puzzles we havent seen before. I have suggested to our friends to go play. We also did there christmas room...sure it was May but we wanted to try it. BEST CHRISTMAS ROOM WE HAVE DONE HANDS DOWN! So many touches that made it amazing. I dont want to ruin the surprises so just go do it. On top of the rooms the staff was amazing. You can tell they take pride in there rooms! We still have the sleepy hollow room to try. Cant wait to get a chance to. I am sure its great!

Went today for two of the three rooms and ended up being able to do the third room. We had an amazing time, the rooms were decorated well and on theme. There were a great combination of puzzles in each room. All the rooms were awesome! Hands down one of the best escape facilities we have been to. The game masters were very personable and great to talk to. We will be back when the next room opens. Coming from North Carolina!

We had our daughter s 11th birthday party here and it was awesome! The staff were so accommodating and helpful. The rooms were awesome! Everyone had a blast! We will definitely be back!

Escape rooms are very thoughtfully designed. The puzzles all flow together very well and the room decor is on theme making it a great experience. Have done 3 rooms to date and will do any more that open up in the future. Great rooms that I highly recommend.

This place is amazing!!!! The puzzles are fun and not to frustrating. The room were decorated for each puzzle. Everytime I thought the team broke out there was another room to solve.The staff was very personable, and helpful. We enjoyed just talking to them. I cant wait to solve their new room comming soon.

The rooms are fantastic! The staff is wonderful! For not being a big chain, their rooms a so well put together and the puzzles are very interactive and challenging without being so difficult. Definitely one of the top escape rooms in the area.

I love this place. Been here twice and its awesome everytime! The rooms are well thought out and put together. I escaped both times. Its a been a little minute since I last came but I will be back. Excited to see new rooms! 10/10 :)

Would definitely recommend! I went here with 3 others and it was a blast! The rooms were really creative and very fun! The story line was really entertaining and fit well with the urgency of the clock. The host was funny and respectful, yet willing to help when we asked.
