We took 12 16 year Olds here down from Georgetown. Everyone loved it. Was worried it might not capture their attention but they did 2 escape rooms and every single one raved about it. Even better they all put down their phones for a few hours
Had an awesome time at Project Panic!! I went with five friends, and we all left excited to come back and try a different room. The experience is challenging enough that everyone has something to puzzle through and not feel left out, but it s not so hard as to feel impossible. We did the subway-themed room, and it was a super cool, innovative concept, with tons of attention to detail and an impressive design. Super friendly staff made it even better.
Me and my friend group of 9 did Cabin Fever and we escaped. It was pretty fun! I think this escape room was easier than the playground one I did at The Escape Game. The room itself was neat, decorated, and interesting. I d definitely come again!
What a fun experience. We were first timers and this was perfect for us. Highly recommend the cabin experience. Operator was very friendly. Would come back and do another room.
Wonderful experience! Great puzzles! Definitely recommend trying them out!
Tl;dr - not good for small groups, inattentive host, broken equipment My partner and I did the train escape room here and it was an underwhelming experience. When we showed up, the room hadnt been cleaned from the last folks yet. When the person cleaned it for us, she left some clues folks wrote on the wall. Several pieces werent working. First, the walkie talkie didnt connect and we had to use the walkie talkie to pass a code. I walked out of the escape room and yelled loudly but still couldnt...
catch the game hosts attention. The marker was dried up and we needed to write things down. Another electronic piece didnt work and she had to manually override it, but we didnt know, and some pieces started lighting up all the sudden and we had no idea why. The puzzles werent fun to complete. Theres a difference between clues being challenging/complex and being far fetched, and these clues are far fetched. I would not recommend for smaller groups for this reason.
My family and I played End of the Line. The game was pretty challenging but really fun. We were teamed up with another family and there was enough to do for everyone to stay engaged (eight people). We will definitely come back and visit the Austin location!
Project Panic was one of the most fascinating, unique experiences Ive ever had! This was my first time doing an escape room, and I had so much fun! I thought I would cave under pressure and be completely useless- which at times I was. In those times, watching all my friends do their thing was pretty impressive. I saw sides to them I wouldnt have seen outside of this well-designed, intricately thought out game. (Also, I wasnt completely useless!) There was a variety of thinking and problem solving...
skills we were forced to use. Throughout the hour I heard people say I can do that, and someone else take a fresh look at this, and I know how to play that game. We were in the cabin room- it was highly interactive and fun on multiple levels. There are some life skills I will like to learn after this experience, especially since I love camping. I really want to come back and try the other rooms they have! Grace, the operator, told us we had 40 seconds left when we got out! She was super nice- willing to tell us all about the rooms design. The minds that went behind designing this room/game are so creative and intelligent. Id come back again!
My friends and I came into town and wanted to do something fun. Tried End of the Line and it was a very bad experience. They didn t start our game until 30 minutes after our scheduled time we were there 30 min early. Bathrooms were out of order, it was very hot, and the flashlights they gave us had no battery. Half of the things in the room were broken or not working properly so we would stay stuck for 5-10 minutes before we would reach out and they would pay attention to us and open what we had solved. Hints were very unhelpful. It seemed like the game masters weren t even paying attention. Honestly, do not recommend this place. Two stars cause the set was at least really cool.
We have done several escape rooms previously with other companies. This was our first time with Project Panic and did the End of the Line. We felt it was challenging at a rating of 3/5. The first room had no lights and we used the flashlights on our phones which worked better than the flashlights that they provided. We were able to solve the puzzle with about 6 minutes to spare. We had the max number of people allowed which was 8 and I felt it was the right number of people, although 2 were kids...
. There was a room where we were told that you just have to push buttons randomly to get them to come on which was a weak point in the game. They use walkie talkies to communicate with us which is different from other companies that use overhead speakers. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will likely try the other rooms.
We tried End of the Line. There are no lights in the first room and the flashlights they give are extremely dim. It was hot! The hints were not helpful- They didn t erase previous people s answers - we ended up leaving early because we got so frustrated and bored - because the puzzles just were not fun. Maybe it was an off day, and maybe Project Panic s other rooms are better - but I would highly suggest skipping this room.
Great experience, it was super fun finishing the Cabin Fever with a big group! Perfect difficulty level and engaging puzzles. Dillon made it a lot of fun, highly recommended
We had a blast and with all our brains together were able to escape 12 minutes early! I was unsure of what it would be like at first but i enjoyed it, next time well definitely do a much more difficult room. But it was a great starter room!
Such a fun time! We had a great time with the puzzles and our operator Terri was so sweet and fun! We also met the operator Jasmine who was also amazing! A fun time with excellent people. Well be coming back next time were in town for sure.
Dillon was amazing and made this such a fun experience. Cabin room was awesome! 10/10 recommend!
Terrible hints, bad puzzles ( not hard just no way to start), condescending staff, bad circulation, and the room was dark, and the puzzles look bootlegged
Great place to take a group of 12 year old girls! We reserved Cabin Fever and the girls had a blast! Clean facility and the staff were very accommodating for my large group. I highly recommend!
We had the best time! It was a challenging room with multiple aspects to it and the staff were great!
My friends and I visited a week or so ago for a party and had a great time. Wesley and Terri were accommodating, helpful, and gave great clues when we needed them. This was the first time I d done a panic room but I ll definitely be back. Glad to say that we broke out in time!
We did End of the Line escape room. It was an all around bad experience. At least half of the puzzles did not work properly. We would have puzzles worked out correctly and nothing happened. At least twice we had completed puzzles and when given help by the moderator, her response was oh because we already had the code/puzzle correct but nothing happened. It was also difficult to hear the person who was supposed to be helping over the walkies. When we asked questions, she just had no idea where we...
were. Throughout our time, we consistently heard screaming from other escape rooms. And finally, we were only given 45 minutes in the room, though FAQs in the website says a full hour. We were in and out of the building in less than an hour. Would absolutely never go back. Definitely do not recommend.
So much fun! Our game master was so attentive, gave us helpful hints, and the room was so interactive! Probably one of my favorite escape room experiences so far. It was the best way to end my visit to Austin. If youre curious, my 2 friends and I did End of the Line!
Me and my partner had a great time here. End of the Line, their hardest room, and the puzzles and decor was excellent. Ive done many escape rooms in the DFW area and the theme decor of this room is one of the best Ive seen. Alex did a great job giving us clear concise clues to help along the way. One thing I would have wished for was some way for us to know how much time is left beyond walkie talkie updates. Other than that, amazing experience!
I had a super fun experience! Came here with a bunch of friends and overall we had a great time. This was my first time in a escape room and I had so much fun. It was a little challenging but I think that s what made it fun. I was just expecting to be stuck in one room but there were three parts. Not gonna lie it was a little scary but that s just me always being paranoid. I would definitely come here again with friends and try it again. If you like challenges and puzzles I would definitely come here for the experience.
The new location is beautiful and has a large waiting room with some cool austin art. Our game owner was engaging and knew when we needed a bit of help. The game itself was super fun and really cool! The props and setting were really detailed and had many fun elements (youll be amazed by the details). The puzzles themselves were fun and engaging. Nothing too difficult or unreasonable but challenging enough to get your head thinking. I also thought the storyline was pretty entertaining. All in all, a great place to have a fun event with a team or as a professional team building exercise. Would definitely recommend people to swing by and try it. It shares a tiny parking lot with the tattoo place next door and can be hard to see from the road.
Our moderator in charge of hints had us describe which puzzle we were on, but didn t watch or pay attention because his hints were for puzzles we had already done, wasting our time. The door to escape didn t even get shut before we started so we also wasted time trying to figure out what puzzle the breakout was for. Just seemed kind of disorganized for the price point.
