Great Room Escape Austin

World record holder! We finished the Houdini room in 30 minutes! Can you beat it? Had a wonderful time at this escape room for a birthday gathering. Our room guide was funny and helpful and really enhanced the experience. Highly recommend.

The great Escape room was so much fun. We went at 9:30 PM. The room had plenty of props that gave a great experience. Definitely a lot of clues that you will need to put together and solve your way out of the room. The employees were awesome! Very helpful and courteous. They asked us if we were ok and even gave us clues. The axe throwing was so much fun as well. You get a target and have 2 practice throws and 5 actual throws. They have beverages for sale available and a machine that you can punch too for fun. The parking lot need some lights tho Shoutout to Ricardo for wearing a neon vest directing traffic

We had an awesome experience here! I brought my family and friends and we did the Houdini room which was a lot of fun! It was bigger than other escape rooms I ve been, challenging in the best way but not too hard that we couldn t escape in the end. I got a Groupon which made it affordable and the staff there were super kind and helpful! Parking is easy to find and they ve got clean restrooms as well as axe throwing!

The folks here really try their best to help you have a great time. My daughter and her 10 friends enjoyed the zombie escape room a lot. The axe throwing was a bonus too. I didnt know it could be that much fun.

Really really bad....... Had a reservation for two rooms, one after the other. When we arrived, said they couldnt accommodate that, they were booked and no refund available. Went into the Houdini room....broken, run down, the fire place didnt reveal the secret passage when it should have, waited 20min, then the person finally came in, couldnt get it to work. Said got it to work so we tried again(they reset timer) and it still didnt work. Had to open it themselves. While we waited for them to fix...
Read full review that room, we did join in on another room that 4 others reserved. The zombie tags you and my friend got slammed, up against a wooden box hanging on the wall and she had to sit out some of the game and ended up with a huge bruise. Could have been much worse I guess. Some of the employees were very nice.

This was the most amazing experience. It was scary but yet fun. The staff was friendly and educational. The escape room was difficult but not too hard that you couldn t do it if you tried. The zombie was the best part. I don t want to give too much away. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

This place was awesome! My wife and I had a ton of fun trying to solve the room. Brandon was the perfect room host too. So glad we chose this location over the other options in the area! Highly recommend this location!!!! If I could give them 10 stars I would, if I could give Brandon 10 stars for his customer service and clue help as well I would. We will definitely be coming back to try their other options and rooms.

Pretty good escape experience with good puzzles, but it s not very intricate or complex. I ve done both the Houdini and Zombie rooms now. Both were in a contained space, max 2 rooms, so the coolness of some escape places was lacking. Overall it was a good time but it also felt a bit too easy and some puzzles mechanics weren t working right. Would I be back? Well it was a good Groupon deal.

Super duper fun & funny zombie escape room experience. Our family was a group of 6 people. We had sooooo much fun! We were laughing, running around the room while screaming lol because we were running away from the zombie . I bought the tickets off Groupon to get it at a cheaper price. Before you begin the escape room, you sign a waiver and watch a safety video. I recommend this place if you re wanting a fun experience!

We did the zombie escape room. It was loads of fun and definitely a thriller. The guy who played the zombie made me jump a few times and made us all run. Hah. It wasnt easy, but it wasnt horribly hard and clues were given when asked as well as the random clues given. Definitely will try again.

Had an awesome time escaping the Zombie room! Shout out to our game master Brandon for helping us along! Also shout out to Monty/Sloan for being the coolest zombie I ve ever met! Having an interactive zombie character really made this escape room more unique compared to the others we have done and it was a lot of fun! I d highly recommend!

Went here with my wife and our three kids under 10. We specifically went to this one because we would get the room with our group only. Most other places want to let other people join your group up to the max per room. Also, the prices were very competitive. One thing different about this location is that its in an industrial area. I think this is one reason they are able to keep prices down and allow private rooms for groups. At any rate, you shouldnt have concerns about this, inside the rooms...
Read full review are great and the staff is excellent. For my wife and children, this was their first escape room experience. My children were a little scared, mainly because they didnt know what to expect. The curator, Carrie, was really great at setting my children at ease and walking us through the rules and set up. She was also great about guiding us through at appropriate times. We did the Houdini room and thoroughly enjoyed it. The challenge level was medium to hard, with some good puzzles to work through. Id definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a private group escape room with reasonable prices and a fun challenge.

Well the event itself was interesting enough BUT what they don t tell u is MAKE SURE YOU USE THEIR ONSITE PARKING. They area is a haven for homeless individuals and/OR criminals. On the night we went the road was filled with cars and we had no idea where exactly we were going. It s was our first trip there and everyone s GPS s weren t accurately directing us to their parking lot. There were 6 cars in our group. As many people that were there for the House of Torment and the Escape Room you would think there d be too much activity for this to happen but BE FOREWARNED!!! The on-site parking appears safe enough but DO NOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN.

My family and I had an absolute blast with the zombie escape room! It is easily the best escape room I have done so far. All day, everyone talked about how awesome the experience was. The hostess was very wonderful through the whole process ( I will have to look up The Cursed Tiger Princess). Thank you for the help, Chewy! We then enjoyed the axe throwing games. The person who came up with the projector games is a genius. I am already planning for the next visit.

1st timers and we had a blast! The zombie room was fun and challenging in the best way! We were a family of four adults and it was a great balance between scary and fun. We had the entire room to ourselves, thankfully! Monzo did a great job keeping us on our toes, screaming and laughing, while Lola really helped us when we needed it with great clues. Highly recommend!! What a great teambuilding experience especially when you take the time to discuss what you went through what worked what didn t work and how it applies to your work life! The moderator was so considerate, helped explain Key things to first time users. The ax, throwing after the escape room, experience, is well worth it! We had an amazing time.

Had a blast! Wipers were super nice and helpful with clues. Will definitely come back.

Lolla and Monzo were great, they went along with our shenanigans and didn t seem to mind how chaotic my parents and brothers were lol.

The Great Room Escape was the most immersive, clever and well executed escape experiences weve ever had! The staff were very professional and helped my now fiance plan his proposal to me and I had no idea! We had booked the Zombie room with Vincent and Clementine, and they made the room absolutely unforgettable! Thanks as well to Spruce Russel Willis at the Axe Throwing next door. Overall I would recommend Great escape room to anyone looking for a unique and thrilling escape room! Thank you again to everyone for helping make the best day of my life so memorable!

Worst escape room ever. The attendant was not ready and we started over 15 mins late. You only get two clues except if you solve a random hidden riddle you get another one. Not sure what s the point of that. Some of the locks are completely worn and don t work properly.

1st escape room experience. My family loved it. Thanks to the crew for being so patient with us. The Zombie was awesomely scary. Took us awhile but we finally figured it out.

Absolutely wonderful zombie escape room experience! Caleb and jace were wonderful! So much fun and a great experience! Not for people who jump easy! My sister nearly jumped through the wall!

This was my first time doing an Escape room I didnt know much about it going into it, but then afterwards I was really excited to try out different rooms in the future! I did the zombie room with a group of about 6 people. I thought it was going to be more challenging, but it felt like a really good balance of communication, doing the puzzles, and dealing with the zombie in the room. Yeah, theres a zombie in the room. Even though its an actor he does a really great job of making things tense and moving things along. Such a good actor! Definitely bring a water bottle or use the restroom before you do the room. The props, the room, and the over experience was awesome. I definitely want to do another escape room in the future!

We have never been to an escape room and are not that great at puzzles or riddles so we were very hesitant to go. But so glad we did. We had so much fun! The actors were so helpful and patient. My daughter was very scared to go in because of the zombie but eventually went in and had no regrets. Will definitely go again!
