Escape The Trap House - Escape Rooms Amarillo

Stopped by this location during a road trip through Texas and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. 10/10 Dont let the look on the outside fool you about the quality on the inside. Its called The Trap House for a reason. When we first arrived at the building it was not open despite its hours saying otherwise. A quick call to their number and they promptly drove to the location and let us in (less than 5 minutes). Read full review and such. After being let in we had the pleasure of talking with the owner who gave us some insider information to the town and best food places where locals go. He suggested Green Chilly Willies which was an AMAZING recommendation. Once his other staff member he proceeded to leave the setup to her. She allowed us to do the Bates Motel haunted room despite there only being 2 of us. Room was well thought out and puzzling enough to keep us thinking! We did beat the room and had to give it to them for their props. 10/10 experience.

The 80 s style room, Time Warp (I think), was totally tubular! Not only we re all of the clues clever and fun, but absolutely everything worked the way it was supposed to. The manager that was there with us today was so kind and helpful and even gave us a few extra minutes to finish up. I also loved that the room incorporated so many aspects, including music, which was awesome. I fully recommend and will definitely be returning next time we are in Amarillo!!

We did the 80s themed one. We made it! We all enjoyed it very much. The props and phone booth were spot on.

Best escape room in Amarillo. Pro rooms and cool storylines; not your average escape room! The 80s room is kick butt. Whoever painted it did amazing(; P.S. CANNOT WAIT FOR THE BLACKLIGHT MINIGOLF THAT WILL OPEN THIS 2024!!!!!!!

Going to Escape the Trap House was an escape room first for me. Id never been to one before and felt panicky about doing it. I thought my anxiety would get the best of me. Instead, I had a wonderful time! The staff was friendly, the building was wonderfully decorated and there were plenty of ways to leave the room if you needed to. Dont let anxiety hold you back (if you struggle with it) from experiencing a really fun time. The wait room is adorable, too. Highly recommend. Now, go have some fun!

Would give 0 stars if possible. At a minimum, whatever you do, do NOT do the Victoria s Secret room. From the other reviews it seems the other rooms are better, but our experience overall was not enjoyable. There were more red herring (aka pointless puzzles) than actual clues that related to the room. The hints are prerecorded and not helpful at all, and the ending is disappointing and not associated with the clues. Save your time and money and avoid at all costs.

Husband and I did Time Warp. The theme was super fun, although most of the time it was frustratingly dark. A few of the puzzles were less brain-teaser and more time wasting , which I personally dont care for. I paid $50 for the both of us, which is about half the price of most escape rooms Ive been to, and we were able to start immediately with no wait time, which was cool. Altogether a pretty inexpensive and enjoyable way to spend an hour

Our favorite escape room in Amarillo. It has well designed rooms and everything is in good working order.

We went for my husbands birthday last week and had a blast! Izzy was very kind and helpful, easy to talk to. We will be returning ASAP!

The staff is really nice. We tried the glow mini golf, and it was awesome the staff even helped my little daughter. 5 stars.

As a surprise, my wife set this up for our 18th Anniversary and I was pretty excited. We get into the waiting room and everything seemed a little rushed, as if the workers were short handed, or overall tasked. We ended up getting the instructions all seemed well for the start of the event. We got into the room and had several difficulties with equipment malfunctions and had to restart a couple times, in which we got a little frustrated, but nothing too bad. Read full review time hearing some of the ques/clues and had to work through the extra issues to get moving forward. Unfortunately we came up short...but how short, we had no clue. The event needed and we stood by for a few minutes with no communication, so we step out of the entrance and was greeted with a congratulations, and I said, well thanks, but we failed This led to us being semi-ushered our the exit and no explanation of the event. Is this normal with all these places? Overall I was not happy with the experience and would not recommend, nor plan on coming back...to this location at least.

The energy in this place is unmatched. Not only are you treated with a smile when you walk in but they truly make it worth your while. 100/10 really come try it out.

It was so much fun! My group did two rooms back to back which is not normally how things are done but the owner was so accommodating and very nice. I had also screwed up ordering tickets and he worked with me to make sure our experience was the best. The building itself is awesome and I enjoy that they offer more adult experiences vs kiddy stuff bit they do have both. We got stuck in one room but conquered the other. Read full review we had to pull out our phones to light up the room enough. It was to create an atmosphere but I wish flash lights were provided it would have added to the experience a little more and not taken us out of it to be able to see. Otherwise would recommend and we all are talking about going back.

So fun! Loved the experience so much. Wish we were closer to try them all. We did the clown one it qas challenging and exciting. The staff was great. 10 out of 10 would go back. So much of a fun experience for me and my family. Wish we would of taken a family photo with the clown and the bed just for memories.

Such an amazing Escape Room! We ve been to several over the years and the Trap House tops them all! I don t typically do scary but The Texas Massacre Chainsaw Room was beyond fun!! Definitely a must go to Escape Room!!
