The JFK game was great. Our game master, Anthony, was fantastic! We will be back again before they close their location on King St.

This is the third time we went to Time Traveler Escape. Lots of fun but in my opinion the rooms could use a cleaning and coat of paint. All the furnishings are shabby and soiled. Also, we booked and paid for 8 participants, two of whom could not make it, and they would not refund or give us vouchers for future use - they should at least give us a 48 hour cancellation window.

It was our first time doing an escape room and there truly aren t any words to describe how amazingly kind Meghan was during our trip there!!! She is beyond funny, passionate, and super helpful!! We chose the JFK room and absolutely loved it! The challenges were creative, difficult, and it all tied together really well!! Hopefully these exclamation points will emphasize how much we loved our time there, we ll definitely be back!!!!

We just had so much fun at Time Traveler! Scheduled the Dr. Trotts Apothecary escape for our daughters 13th birthday celebration. 7 kids and my mom had an amazing time completing the escape and my husband and I hung out in the lobby enjoying beer and such while we listened to the sounds of the kids and Grandma celebrating each puzzle in the back room. Friendly, cozy, clean, fun! Ariana made sure our kiddos had the best time. Highly recommended for all ages.

Wonderful atmosphere and so much fun! A group of friends and I went here for try boyfriends 30th birthday, 9 of us all together. We were able to rent two rooms and actually complete each other. There s a lounge space where we could all get drinks and hang out together beforehand which was super nice. The owner, Megan, was very accommodating and made our event super special.

My family and I vacationed in Charleston and enjoy doing escape rooms. We came across Time Traveler and thought it was such a fresh idea to do an escape set outdoors that incorporated history of the area. It was so much fun, and such a wonderful way to experience Charleston while sparking conversation about history and getting to mix with people socially out and about! Absolutely recommend doing this escape! Be prepared to walk and sweat, but the experience is worth it! Thanks Time Traveler for making our day a wonderful one!

We did the apothecary room with 4 people. It was really fun. Ultimately we solved the puzzles, but we did need one clue about 40 minutes into the game. if you are older like me, bring your glasses and phone light since the room is not super bright and you do need to read things. Read full review of letting us flounder around she gave us little prompts to keep us on track, but not spoil the challenges. You could do this room with 3 people and maybe 5, but more than that would be too much. This was the first escape room for some of us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We definitely will do it again, and recommend this place. They have a restroom and drinks and snacks if you need them.

Our family really enjoyed the Dr Trotts Apothecary escape room. Weve done a number of these before, and this one was very well done - excellent production value, and the puzzles were clever. Plus, it was neat the way Charlestons history was incorporated. We werent penalized for asking for hints, which was helpful when we were close to putting the clues together but not quite there. It definitely made for a more fun and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

Great place. Fantastic atmosphere and decor. We did the apothecary room and the difficulty was spot on for a group of 6 forty somethings. The owner was great to chat with about one hit wonders from the 90s hip/hop reggae scene:) We wish her the best with future endeavors.

Group of 6 escape room veterans did Dr. Trotts room. Was really fun and a little different vs other escape rooms we had tried. Meghan was absolutely incredible, and even if the escape room wasnt extremely fun, her post-game banter alone, would have made the room worthwhile.

We wanted a fun family activity to celebrate my birthday so we chose to do an escape room. Time Travelers was such a fun experience for all of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and we plan to do this again as they offer multiple escape room experiences.

We had a great time!! It was challenging for the adults and the kids. You can ask for hints when you are stuck, which we did need a couple of times. The backstory was fun and we loved that the story was linked to Charleston history. We will go again for sure.

The Apothecary room was a really fun experience for my daughter s 11th birthday. Anthony was super helpful, friendly and patient with our group of 11 year olds with the attention spans of squirrels. I will say if you re booking this for a group of kids: it was definitely very challenging for them, but they enjoyed it and had a great time even though they didn t finish within the hour.

We did two rooms tonight and we had an absolutely amazing time! The rooms were fun, challenging, and immersive!! Meagan was a fantastic host and game master and she had such an amazing personality! She made the experience even better! We have done well over 100 rooms and we really enjoyed this establishment! We cant wait to come back and try the last room! Book a room with them today! You will not be disappointed!

We were looking for something fun and slightly challenging to do while visiting for a long weekend. This place fit the bill! Meghan, our guide, was awesome and made the experience that much better. We chose the apothecary room. At first we all felt a little lost on how to get started, but once we got going, it was on. We were successful in freeing the mermaid and freeing the town from a 7year style flood. WHEW! That was a close one. But in all seriousness, the location, the theming, the difficulty level, and price were all spot on. I was begging my family to go back and do the other two rooms while we were in town. Better luck next time.

We played Dr. Trotts Apothecary as a 4-person family and Ryan was our Game Master. All-around, a very solid escape room experience. The facade out front, the lounge in the lobby, and the room itself were super well done and very immersive! They offer beverages, as others have mentioned, and they have games in the lounge to play with if youre early. Being 15 minutes early is their sweet spot. My only constructive criticisms are that the speaker in the first room seemed to be out, so we couldnt hear Ryan well for the first chunk of our adventure, a certain prop could have its sensitivity turned up because what we had to do to it didnt register when I first tried it, and after we took our first clue, we were kind of just given more clues until we got to the end. Granted, we were very close to escaping and this is just a matter of a Game Masters style. I personally prefer when a Game Master asks permission before giving more clues. Ryan did an awesome job, though, and we had an amazing time as a family! We escaped with 3 minutes left on the clock and got to experience some new puzzles. Thanks for an awesome vacation memory!

Was in town for a work trip and went for a team building event. Great for building collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fun and immersive environment. Plus..they ve got adult beverages. Highly recommended!

We had a blast! I m not very adventurous and my wife talked me into going. So much fun . Megan was awesome. Way more fun than tours we went on. Do yourself a favor and do it as a couple or a group!

My daughter wanted to do an escape room for her 10th birthday. We couldn t have picked a better place. It was a blast! Sean was great! Highly recommend!!

A large group of us went to Time Travelers to have some fun and bond as a team during a company meeting, and thought all 3 rooms were absolutely fantastic! It was the perfect activity to do with a bunch of visitors and a great team building exercise. We really enjoyed the lounge with games to play if we arrived or finished early, being the only ones in the escape room, and the added benefit of a bar! Overall we had a great time as a group and found all of the rooms challenging but fun. Would certainly recommend and play again!

We went today w Husband and stepsons. This was fun, challenging but yet not beyond the realm that a 12 and 13 year old couldn t help tackle! We will be back! We really enjoyed it!

We LOVED this! We had never done an escape room and had so much fun. We did the Apothecary Challenge and saved the Mermaid! It was all very clever and we really had fun solving the puzzles along the way + learning about Charleston history. It is in walking distance in the historic district right on King Street. We have already recommended to others. Will go again! So great!

Super fun! We had a great time solving the Lavinia puzzle. The staff were incredibly generous and helpful. Great experience. I would love to come back and do the rest of the rooms! Love that they do room service and bring beer and wine to the rooms. Awesome birthday party experience as an adult for sure!

We had a great time at Time Traveler Escape Games. We went through the Lavinia Fishers Boarding House room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the variety of puzzles involved. I wont give details/spoilers but it was so much better than other places that are padlock after padlock. This room combined the room ambiance and puzzles. The historical tie to Charleston was cool. I highly recommend this company and we will be back to try the other rooms.

I can t say enough about Meghan s great customer service. We had a hiccup on our end during booking and she couldn t have been more considerate in helping us get our investigative experience back on track. We only did one room that day but we will be back each time we visit Charleston to do all the rest. We had previously done two other local companies but we all agreed we enjoyed this one the most. It was more entertaining and hands on puzzle solving than the others and the investigation flowed...
Read full review along better. Also communication with Meghan during the event was much clearer than other places and her clues were productive and tailor made to our needs at that moment. She didn t give too much away. Just the right nudge. It was very well rounded in terms of actual puzzles and devices, not just constant deluge of letter/number codes for padlocks that we have experienced at other places. This made it more inclusive for everyone in the group and we found we all worked together the entire time instead of pairing off trying to just mostly decipher codes as we have done at other places. Very enjoyable experience and we all highly recommend it for a fun event for 4 or more people. (And I wonder if Meghan ever figured out how I managed to defeat one padlock the wrong way LOL!). My family did the Apothecary room on a rainy day and it was perfect. The person who welcomed us in and ran the room was incredibly nice. The room was interesting, with a good mix of puzzles and locks. They were all the right level of difficulty, somewhat difficult but we could usually figure them out. When we did need help, the clues were more clarifying than just outright giving the answers, which was perfect. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place and the Apothecary room!!

We had a great experience at Time Traveller. The Apothecary room was perfect for our family. Challenging enough to keep us interested but not frustrated. Meghan was a great host and the facility is unique. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Charleston.

I took my sister and brother here for the first time and it was a great experience! It was something different for all of us.. unfortunately we didnt escape, but we enjoyed every moment of it lol.. Sean our instructor was a very nice and helpful person. I would love to do it again hopefully I can escape lol.
