The Great Escape Room Providence

Tonight we did The Great Escape Room in Providence, RI. It was our very first escape room and we had such a great time. We had to solve all the clues to help Bess Houdini communicate with her beloved dead husband Harry. We managed to complete it with 4 minutes to spare (with a bunch of hints from the wonderfully friendly employee Walter - we had such a good time he sold us on pre-buying our next visit)!

The Great Escape Room in Providence, RI, offers a fun and engaging experience. friendly staff, clean and well-decorated rooms. Participants have 60 minutes to solve puzzles and escape, making it a great activity for team-building or a fun outing with friends and family.

Walter & Amanda were absolutely AMAZING and the escape room was fantastic!!!! So well done and executed; even if we didnt win we had a blast!!!! Next time were up in Rhode Island I will be doing this again!!!!

This was my first escape room experience and it was a blast! Challenging but not overwhelming, the mystery was intriguing and a little creepy. We had 8 in our group and looking back I would recommend 4-6. I would definitely go back, it was a very fun night!

I went there with my family for Fathers Day (a gift from my kids). The puzzles you face are fun and challenging. The scenarios you are doing are captivating, as you only have a limited time to complete the task. I was given an hour to complete the mission; I completed it in one hour 44 seconds ( Darn!). Still had a good time. Will definitely come back and try another mission. Do yourself a favor; book a room today!

This place was awesome! We made a reservation for four, and we all had a blast! The staff were friendly and explained everything in detail. The puzzles were difficult but not crazy hard and the rooms were very authentic for the mystery/atmosphere they were going for. Will definitely be coming back.

Immersion at its finest. I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Great Escape Room for a networking event recently. At first I was indifferent about going, because it was a beautiful 80 degree day in Rhode Island, so locking myself indoors wasn t necessarily on my top priority list. However, the minute we walked into our experience, we weren t just locking ourselves in an escape room. No no, we were saving the country from a nuclear missile crisis from the confides of the White House Bunker...
Read full review. Our experience was challenging, but very fun. Forget a sunny day in Providence, for the hour we were locked in that room, we were heroes on a mission to save the country. I was more than pleased with my experience at the Great Escape Room and am looking forward to trying out the other 2 adventures they have in store for us. No matter the weather, rain , sun , or snow , the Great Escape Room is an escape from reality at least for the 60 minutes you re locked away from it. Bravo!

My coworkers and I went here for a team building/out of work gathering! We had a blast! From the coordination/planning to the actual activity, great customer service and very friendly staff! My first time going and I definitely want to go back!

The escape room was great. We did murder mountain, and loved it. The hosts were awesome and very friendly! Cant remember their names, so please figure out who was working Saturday evening around 9:30, and give them all the praise! The room was fun and creepy. Will be back.

As someone who has enjoyed almost every room and even went back to do those rooms again, I can speak for not only myself, but everyone that I have brought to this escape room when I say that the rooms are AMAZING! Every room is different and has its own storyline. The prices are fair for the quality of the room(s) and the experience is overall fun for everyone! What s even better is that it s located somewhere that is surrounded by fun things to do before/after your room. Every experience was 10/10!!!

We did the Houdini Final Contact room. It was filled with lots of fun puzzles and clues to solve that the whole family could do. There were 5 of us ranging in age 7 to 46 years. It was a very kid friendly room and the kids helped solve a bunch of puzzles. There were even some magic surprises throughout the room. We did escape the room and the end was really cool. The staff was super nice and everything was clean and well organized. Highly recommend.

First time (almost) escape artist. I will definitely go back and definitely recommend for a fun winter activity. No spoilers, but we narrowly made it out - got stumped by one clue that we think could ve been made a little more noticeable, had our eyes been opened . We had an absolute blast regardless and T gave us all the keys for a good time.

We had so much fun doing The Haunted Hotel with three of our teens ages 13-18. They were super into it and it was fun to see them all work together to solve the puzzles. We will definitely be going back to try out another room!

I am an escape room junky, and this place is absolutely in my top 10 best ever! The staff gets into the scenarios, and Ive never been in a higher quality room. The level of detail was great! I would just say for long time escape room goers, these rooms were a little easy, but still beautiful and fun so I recommend them to everyone regardless of experience level!

I havent done too many escape rooms but this one was so much fun we did Houdinis final contact and were so close to winning but we got a little distracted but Adrian, Walter, and Amanda were absolutely amazing and were so enthusiastic about everything. It made the rest of my groups first escape room memorable.

Super fun time for a girls group of 4. Our host upon arrival was professional, enthusiastic and explained everything in detail. The creativity of the room we did was epic. We had a lot of laughs during the process and cannot wait to go back. The challenge itself was tricky but really good.

My friends and I are quite the escape room enthusiasts and let me tell you, the mountain top murder room is up there for us. The mechanics and puzzles were all great and very mentally stimulating. I can t wait to come back and try other rooms. Also shoutout to Dani, Caroline and Alex were all so great - thanks for everything!

Dani and Walter (Not Jesus) were great hosts. We had so much fun in the first room that we did a second one immediately after. Thank you so much for making my day off so special since I rarely get those to begin with!

The Presidents Bunker room was one of the most fun escape rooms weve done in a while! It had some really clever challenges in it. And Dani was great at introducing us and was pleasant to chat with afterward.

Dani and Walter were wonderful. Dani did a wonderful job setting up our game story and helping us feel welcome for our first time here. Walter, who controlled our room, was funny with the comments he wrote on the screens in our escape room. 10/10 would recommend to others.

The production value on the rooms are top notch, puzzles were really fun to try and solve, would do again in a heartbeat!

We had so much fun at The Great Escape. It was a challenge & a great way to celebrate my daughters 26th birthday. I cant wait to go back.

I have to say . This was a great experience! Walter was fantastic we brought a group of teens for my sons bday he was so great about everything! Made a recommendation for a nearby place for my husband and I to relax for an hour and the kids enjoyed it so much! We ll be back!! Thank u! Great place!

Adrienne (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was amazing!! They made my friend and I feel very excited about the room we were getting ready to enter. The rooms are challenging in a good way because you re using your brain and creativity throughout. You also get unlimited hints which my friend and I used quite a lot. However the conductor didn t get annoyed and was able to help us without giving us the answers. Overall it was such a great experience and I will definitely go back in a heartbeat!

So much fun! The staff were amazing, helpful when we needed it because it was my first time doing it. Loved the encore ticket price for $25 that we purchased to go back another time.

It was an awesome time. , the attendants/crew were awesome, and the escape room was challenging but fun. Me and my friends managed to solve the haunted hotel room with two minutes to spare lol. Definitely worth the money. Gotta think outside the box though.

Our 8 year old requested an escape room for her birthday so we took the whole family. Adrien was our tour guide and he was super friendly and helpful. Te was our hint girl and she gave us the best hints that helped our family of 6 (kids 5,5,8 and 10) solve the mystery and escape! The 5 year old twins had no clue what was going on most of the time lol but they still enjoyed turning keys and other simple tasks. The 8 and 10 year old LOVED trying to figure out each clue and said they had a great time! Overall it was a fun thing to do as a family (not too scary either) birthday girl says she wants to do it again!

We had an awesome time doing Murder mountain! Great experience fun and creepy all at the same time! The host Walter was super friendly and made it very intriguing!! We will be back soon to do another one!!

This was an absolute blast. We did the Poker Night at the Presidential Bunker scenario, and it was a fantastic balance of fun and challenge. I do not think we would have been able to do it were we not a cohesive group that all knew one another and were comfortable splitting into teams, so I definitely recommend doing it with friends rather than strangers if you have the chance.

Walter was the best Master. We have a blast this morning. We did the casino and the murder one. Both very tricky but we made it! Looking forward to try the Houdini one.
