It was a really awesome 1980 s themed Escape Room. You do not need to have knowledge of the 1980 s to complete the puzzles, just a clever mind. The staff was incredibly nice, they had really cool retro items for sale in their store and you can win coupons for some cool treats at the food court in the same building. It was unbelievably fun.

So much fun! We had a group of 5 and we all had a blast (even the one person who was not excited about doing it). The staff was very friendly and having music from the 80s as some of the clues was a fun element. Knowing the 80s references might have helped us get a couple clues faster, but it is not necessary to be successful in the game. As an added bonus there are coupons hidden for free beer and snacks. Highly recommend!!

I went it with a group of friends and we had a blast. Very friendly staff that really made the whole experience fun. If you grew up in the 80s, it is a great way to revisit your youth. The actual escape room experience was very well done. It was just difficult enough make you really have to work as a team to figure out the clues but laugh out loud fun at the same time. And the props and pictures at the end are just awesome. I highly recommend!

This was absolutely a blast. My family and I were the only ones booked for our time slot so we got to do the rooms alone. Our children are 12, 10 and 4 and it was fun for every single one of us. My 4 year old even got one of the clues himself and got us to the next room! The staff is hilarious and made it even MORE FUN on top of us bumbling and stumbling around laughing to get the clues. It is truly a great time, and if they maybe change the room and clues around from time to time or something (which I plan to find out) then we will go again! We really had a great time, I HIGHLY recommend!

Our first escape room and we had a really great time. Really creative room that perfectly synthesizes (lol) 80s nostalgia with an escape room game. Highly recommended for first-timers or those that grew up in the 80s/90s. Not extremely difficult, but also definitely not easy. We had a group of ladies join us and they pretty much saved the day. Go try it out, you wont be disappointed.

Love this escape room! There were two of us and we completed it in almost an hour. Lots of fun, great memorabilia, and just challenging enough. You dont need to know the 80s to figure out the clues, but the memorabilia is great if you remember it. Highly recommend. Tip, dont drink too much before you go. A buzz is ok, but you do want to escape the room, so dont go drunk.

I havent visited any other escape room attractions, but I did try this one during its first month or so of operation because of my 80s infatuation. I had a great time, the clues and pop culture references are relevant and well-thought out and made for a super fun date night. And the staff rocks as well! Highly recommended!

This was my first escape room experience. It was amazing. Im a big fan of the 80s and the experience exceeded my expectations. Its great for kids to because its not scary at all and its challenging but not frustratingly hard. The staff is awesome, very friendly. And I like that you can buy a clue. People always told me to buy a clue when I was growing up in the 80s and now I finally can.

Went with four of my friends for the midnight one. Parking was easy at this time ended up right out front. Both the employees were awesome with great personalitys. I dont want to spoil the experience at all but it was easily one of the best things I did in my lifetime, only downfall is that it gets stressful trying to beat the clock! But thats the fun in it! It was like live action big brother with the employee joking with us too. Overall just a great time and beyond worth the money.

My first escape room, and I am glad we picked it for our group! I do realize some people will say the puzzles were not deep brain teasers, but when you are being timed, and there is so much to do, there is a great sense of relief in knowing something you have is useful information. Even with this feeling, some steps took us time to figure out, but because we never had a situation where we were frustrated, it made the experience amazing. To the owners, if you are not already, I recommend recording...
groups doing the room from now on, so in the distant future when you decide to retire the setup, maybe in favor of a new idea, you can have all the highlight footage of previous attempts to share. I know that could make for some entertaining viewing.

My girlfriend and I just did this today as part of my anniversary gift to her. We loved it! We had never done a room escape before, and this one was a great one to start with. It was a lot of fun, and we met a bunch of new people! If you love 80s pop culture, or just want to have a fun afternoon doing something a little offbeat then this is right up your alley! The staff was friendly. The tasks were fun and kept us running back and forth through rooms but werent so difficult that we had to give up. The soundtrack was an amazing throwback. The entire experience was a great way to end out weekend in the city!

Escape the 80s was GREAT!! The puzzles were challenging and fun. We escaped with 2.5 minutes to spare! Our group of 6 got paired with another group of 6. I know that my group definitely had a great time! We went to dinner after and spent most of the meal talking about the rooms and the puzzles. The staff (Chris & Holly) could not have been more awesome. Elisabeth, the owner, was also very helpful and friendly when I needed to email her a few weeks prior. I have already recommended it to a few other friends.

We couldnt have had a better time! We had a very large group (29 people). We went in two separate groups and used the 80s party room while waiting. Brought our own food and beverage and had a blast! The escape rooms were loads of fun and really made us think our way out. Not easy at all, but so entertaining for everyone at the same time. Even though it was a big group, we all were able to contribute. One of our all time favorite family gatherings - and we know how to have fun, so this was special! Thank you to Elisabeth for all your help organizing, and special thanks to Mike and Carson for making it especially fun:)

I have never been to an escape room, and this was so much fun! I went with friends and my husband, and we enjoyed seeing all of the props from the 80s. My friends teenage son had fun, too. Our guide was nice, and very enthusiastic!

I am a fan of escape rooms in general; I love the change of scenery from just going to the local bars, to actually interacting & playing a game with friends. Escape the 1980s was certainly my favorite escape room experience to date! The staff was friendly, funny and accommodating. Authentic props & decor really took us back in time. I have to admit I enjoyed laughing at my friend in her early 20s try to figure out how a VHS player even works (sorry if youre reading this Em). Further proving- You didnt need to live through the 80s to enjoy the game, but if you are familiar with 80s culture, it certainly helps and fills your heart with nostalgia.

I took my girlfriend for her birthday, we had an amazing time. Its great for just two people, or a group. I think I even would have enjoyed it alone. If you enjoy the culture of the 1980s you will love this. I looked at these reviews before we went and was concerned that theyre all 5 stars. I thought maybe the employees just wrote a bunch of reviews to attract people, but after going I know that the reason is because this place is REALLY fun.

Great fun, especially for a group looking for a non-scary version of a room escape. Our group was entirely new to room-escape and included two kids, and everyone had a fun. Staff was energetic and organized, greatly adding to the experience. And the puzzles themselves were a fun mix of amusing and challenging.

One of the best family nights ever! Took our two kids before they leave for college, and the four of us worked to solve the puzzles to Escape the 80s. What a blast! Our host was friendly and helpful. I knew we would enjoy it, but it was even more fun than I thought it would be, and everyone cant wait until winter break so we can all go back to Escape the 90s!

Excellent puzzles and clues! Very creative and really genuinely lots of fun!! A entertaining and engaging way to spend the afternoon. The amount of planning and work that went into this game is very impressive. I highly recommend going with a group of your friends; its more fun with a group than just a few of you.

The puzzles and clues were great - and it was so much fun to flash back to the 80s! Our group had a great time and it was nice to do something other than just dinner. The staff was helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend Escape the 80s for anyone whos looking for a fun night out.

This was our first room escape experience, and we all gave it a solid two thumbs up. It was fun...challenging...well-run...totally RAD! I just loved how the music was integrated with the clues. Very clever. You dont have to, but Id recommend going with a big group. There were 14 of us, so we booked it as a private event. Its true you dont need to know any 80s trivia to solve the clues or have fun with this, but if you grew up in the 80s, you will love this even more. It was like stepping into a time machine. Our group ranged in age from 24-50, and EVERYBODY loved it! Looking forward to doing another.

What an awesome time we had! It was a great mix of challenging and hilarious. The event staff was great, the clues (we needed a couple) were funny and our group worked together as a team. I cant wait for another game!

This is a 1980s theme Escape Room interactive game that was a total blast! Hosts were very friendly, funny and helpful. Our family of 5 adults teamed up with another group of 5, working to escape the time warp which sent us back to a 1980s mini-mall. Clues and puzzles were really innovative! You have to pay attention to everything you see and hear, and be inventive to complete the game (in 60 minutes), but its not TOO hard. This escape is very creative and detailed, including lots of items, music, clothes, etc. from that time period. It was BIG FUN to do and gave us a great blast from the past. A highly recommended good time!

Had a great time with the game. You definitely dont need to know the 80s to win the game, but it was really fun with all the 80s references. The staff was friendly and helpful and timing was pretty spot on. Get an many friends as possible, The bigger the group the better, but I would say at least 6. And just get into it!

We brought a group of six here for a friends birthday and just had the most fabulous time. Delightful all the way through, from the minute we walked through the door and were greeted by the hilarious staff until we left (victorious). Puzzles were creative and unexpected. Really fun experience.
