Portland Escape Rooms- Beaverton

We did the Arcade theme for our anniversary and it was perfect for us nerds! It was our first escape room and we had so much fun figuring out each puzzle, working together and playing our strengths! It was fun to immerse fully into the tasks and I forgot about everything else for that hour. When we escaped, we felt elated we had beat the room! It was awesome! Definitely recommend! We did the puzzle with just two people and I think only two hints ;) Our game actor was a great sport and very friendly! Cant wait to do our next one!

We played the revamped Kidnapped! Game and it was awesome! Our kidnapper Rain was in character the whole time which really added to the fun. Its challenging but not so difficult that it feels impossible. Something to know: it doesnt look like an escape room from the outside, it looks like a regular office building. Make sure your group arrives early enough to find it.

We have done 3 rooms already and booking the 4th today. Every room has been alot of fun and nice staff :)

Super fun!! First escape room experience and it did not disappoint. Did the kidnapped one and even before walking into the build, thought it looked sketchy which just added to the experience, I think. Our killer was Rain and she did a superb job explaining and guiding us. We didnt get through in time but I still consider it a win, again, because the experience was totally worth it. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone!

I have had experience with a lot of different escape rooms and I have to say this one had a lot of issues. (Room: Steampunk Airship) Pros: - The concept and execution of the design of the room was really cool - The puzzles were helpful for a friend of ours as it was his first time, so less challenging but not a breeze. Cons: - The Captain stays in the room with you and in this case walked around and hovered over us as we worked on completing tasks. If we hit a snag, instead of us feeling challenged...

Part of the allure for escape rooms is the challenge, I like facing the obstacle, failing, and working with my teammates on how to overcome it. - We finished the room with 20 minutes left, there was 4 of us, and one of us had 0 experience with any escape rooms. Although this is obviously possible it felt like there was a big chunk of the room that was missing and it led to us finishing much earlier than we should have. - The Captain spoke so quickly whenever giving instructions or explaining rules, it made it nearly impossible to understand them. We know that this isnt their first time doing the room or the speech, but it is for us. It would help if they could slow way down and make sure we can understand them. - The Captain would start to clean up or reset the puzzles we completed right after we finished them. I get that you probably have a limited time until the next group comes in but that ultimately ruined a lot of the immersion of the room and fun. I hate giving less than stellar reviews, but I feel like this is information I would have liked to have before booking this experience as it is definitely not cheap at $180. Sadly, if this is the way the room should have gone, and we got the usual experience, I personally cannot recommend this room for others.

Great fun with friends. I have been here over 5 times over the years and each room is themed well and unique. The hosts do a good job and keep you entertained.

Played the Steampunk Airship. Unique set, fantastic actor in the room with you. Lots of fun puzzling. Only critique is that a major prop was not working, and an insignificant other had issues. Still a very fun time. Owner: make the repairs!

Max was amazing!!! One of the best escape rooms places I have ever been to. Very well thought out rooms, and immersive too!

We did the Arcade escape room. It was a beautifully designed room with well-made, functioning props and lots of unique puzzle ideas. Our host, Nicky, was amazing from start to finish and I look forward to being trapped by Portland Escape Rooms and Nicky in the future.

We had such a great time doing the kidnapped room! Puzzles were decent but totally doable even with just two people. We had Kayt as our moderator and she was wonderful! We re definitely excited to try out another room.

Just posted lobby photos to not give anything away. We liked the room we played, clues were challenging and props were great. Our hostess was very good in character also.

My family and I have done three of these rooms and theyll have been wonderful. The Actors are great too. They really get into the show and you can tell they enjoy it too. We are definitely coming back to do more rooms. I strongly recommend checking them out.

Really enjoyed multiple escape rooms at this location! The puzzles were well balanced and the themes of the rooms were very fun and well done. Rayn was our escape game moderator and she provided a fun and enthusiastic experience!

This was the greatest experience! We had 4 parents and 4 10-year olds in the Arcade room and it was so much fun. The kids led the way, and we were out with 6 minutes to go. That s not to say it was easy! The challenges were awesome, and challenged both the kids and adults. It was actually a great blend of age appropriate themes and challenges. Our host was incredible and matched the theme! Great Portland afternoon/evening activity!

Did two rooms with Rayn (steampunk and fortune teller) it was so much fun! Having someone in the room keeping up the spirit and atmosphere made the game super exciting and engaging, especially compared to previous escape rooms I have visited.

A friend and I did the Snakebite Saloon escape room. We beat the room with 26 seconds left on the clock. There is an actor in the room with you, which I much prefer over someone watching on cameras. Nikki did an awesome job and helped make the game a lot of fun. There were a lot of different puzzles that all came together in the end. Creative and very well done. They have $20 off deals if you go on weekdays, and if you schedule again within a week of going you can get $60. Good deals!

Such a fun experience! We did the kidnapped room and loved every minute of it. Rain was an amazing kidnapper and is awesome at their job. Please give them a raise. A very large one.

We did the snakebite saloon, the website said it was challenging for a group of 6. We had 5 and found it super super easy. Didn t need any hints which is a shocker because we usually need them. You re not told until you get to the room that the game master (actor) stays in the room with you, we would have gone elsewhere if we knew that because it s hard to be comfortable with your group of friends with someone standing over you lol. Read full review there with my friends, but for the room itself I wouldn t recommend it unless you re a beginner, again super simple and straight forward unsure how it got the challenging title lol. btw this is no offense to our game master Nikki, she was very kind to us for the duration of our game, we just would have gone elsewhere had we known the GM stays in the room lol.

We just escaped our room not more than 15 minutes ago and I wanted to make sure this place and workers got the praise they deserve! We chose the Genie s Lamp room and it was my partner and my parents. We have only done one other room so we are familiar with the mechanics. The sets were detailed and so fun to just look at. The puzzles were fun to work out and there were so many so each person had a role to play at parts and they weren t so overly complicated where you would give up. Our game master...
Read full review did offer us a hint which we gladly took at one point. But we did manage to escape within the time limit! Now onto our Game master, Mays. They were so enthusiastic and played the role so well! We got hyped up with Mays before entering the room and Mays really put us into the spirit! I cannot give enough kudos to the staff here as well as the room itself. We will definitely be back for another challenge.

The fortune teller room was really fun. It was perfectly paced for our group of three. Jess did a fantastic job all around.

We enjoyed captain Katie s enthusiasm and her ability to remain in character. The variety of puzzles were a lot of fun where solving most required the brains of at least 2 crew members. Scout self-destructing on us was a funny and treacherous touch! We had fun! Thank you!

Portland Escape Rooms has the best entertainment for the whole family. Weve done six of their escape rooms this year! They always have clever puzzles to solve, absolutely genius mechanics for the contraptions, fun decorations and great moderators. Everyone has a good time. Candy Cane Conundrum was especially festive for the holidays and had some very amazing features that we havent seen done before. You wont be disappointed with your experience... unless you fail to escape in one hour.

Absolutely great! It was my first time doing an escape an so to my friend that brought me and out fantastic moderator Jessica I had a blast! I would recommend and shall be coming back!

Went here for a team bonding event last week and we had the best time! Mays was our host/assistant and she really made the game fun and energetic. The room was well stocked, clean, and well kept up. We will definitely be coming back and sending our other church groups there!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! It was my first time doing an escape room. I scheduled it for my fiancé and a couple of friends for his birthday and Nikki absolutely BLEW US AWAY!!! We did the Kidnapped themed escape room and I can t stress enough how much FUN we had!! She needs a raise!! Loved her!!

Had a great time. Our captain Nicki was amazing. We finished with 22+ min left so a little easy but had a great time. Good puzzles but not impossible.

This place was SO FUN!!! We are from out of town visiting family and wanted something fun to do. We did Genie s Lamp and then came the next day to do Arcade! We came so close to beating some of the records! Niki made the story line for Genie s Lamp so exciting! We loved her! Carson was also great in our Arcade run!! Helped us in certain situations without giving us an actual hint. It was great having him there.

We did the arcade room which was really fun, as a group of 10 adults from my office. Such creative props!

Three of us did the Steampunk Airship room today with minimal experience with escape rooms. It was a lot of fun! The staff were friendly, entertaining, and supportive when we got stuck on puzzles. We didnt escape, but we were pretty close. Id recommend more than three people if you are newer to rooms. I would definitely recommend and plan to try another room of theirs soon!

An incredible experience! Our game master Mays made this so much fun. She was enthusiastic, stayed completely in character throughout and helped us gently when we were stuck. The puzzles were challenging enough to keep it exciting, and had things we d not yet seen, even as experienced escape artists. Would highly recommend!
