MindTrix Escape Room Games Happy Valley

Our first escape room experience! We were two families, with 3 adults and 3 kids aged 9,9 and 7. We did the School of Magic. The kids were able to help out quite a bit and got a kick out of it. You can communicate with them while youre in and I think theyre constantly watching you. There were a couple of instances where they clarified some things for us even when we didnt ask for help and that was much appreciated. We were able to finish it successfully in time. No complaints! Will try again!

The school of magic room was really cool and fun. I really liked the various puzzles. I was a little nervous with only 2 people in our party, but we did great having a miraculous 11 minutes left. The challenges were just about right, not too extremely difficult and not too easy. Were both Harry Potter fans so were totally being kids especially at the end. The cost was a little pricey but not as bad as other escape rooms. Dont think youll find a better price in the Portland area.

We had an amazing experience with the Time Machine room! It was probably the most fun weve had with an escape room. The host was great too. Absolutely recommended!

Teslas Experiment at MindTrix is a blast, plain and simple. You walk in thinking you know escape rooms, but this one? It flips the script. The setup is genius - its all about Nikola Tesla, and youve gotta navigate his wild inventions to escape. The puzzles? Super clever. They re not your run-of-the-mill locks and keys but stuff that makes you think and work as a team. The coolest part is how the room changes based on what you do. Touch something, and suddenly, youve got a new puzzle popping...
Read full review up or a piece of the story unfolding. And the tech they use is wild - like, puzzles that light up and react to you moving around. Its all super immersive. The design and the props feel like youve time-traveled to Teslas workshop. And teamwork is key. You really have to talk to each other to figure stuff out, which made it a lot more fun and rewarding when we finally cracked it. Honestly, if youre looking for something fun to do with friends, Teslas Experiment is a winner. Its smart, engaging, and a bit different from your typical escape room. Mike at MindTrix did a great job with this one.

it is me and my daughters first time that we are in an escape room, we did the time machine, at first it was a bit difficult to solve the mystery in the first room, there are 4 in total and a bomb that has to be deactivated, but thanks to the walkie talkies we can ask for help any time, my daughters liked it a lot it was also a lot of fun but we couldnt solve the mystery, it wasnt possible to deactivate the bomb either but the bomb was a way of telling us how much time we had left. You should definitely come here.

Absolutely super fun, especially if youve ever experienced escape rooms before. They make it tough, but so friendly and open, if youre clearly stuck theyll slightly nudge you back in the right direction. In addition it is very immersive and thematic, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a fun activity for 2-8 people, just make sure you get there early.

Mike was a great host and set up our room perfectly. The only thing I wasnt sure about was if the host Mike, and the cop Mike, were the same person, or twin brothers, or what!?! Im still confused...lol thanks for the great time Mike! Well be back.

This was my first experience with an escape room so I truly didnt know what to expect. Id have to see with certainty that Mike and MindTrix Escape Room far exceeded my expectations. Mike was very professional and thorough explaining both the rules of the game and also the story behind the actual room that we had to escape from. He even narrated like a movie. Whether you are an expert or beginner in escape rooms MindTrix will DEFINITELY be a good time!

Awesome time! Our first time here and Mike made it super fun for us. We did the School of Magic and its different than other traditional escape rooms (we were WIZARDS Harry!). Whenever we come back in town, we will definitely do another one.

We booked an escape room at MindTrix for a team building activity and we had a great experience! The Tesla room was fun and challenging. Mike was a super great host and gave us helpful hints throughout to help us solve the escape room. We will definitely be back!

My partner and I did back-to-back escape rooms (School of Magic and The Time Machine) for our date night and had a blast! The owner and game host, Mike, was super friendly and even offered us the second game for free when we made the Leaderboards for the first game. School of Magic was super fun and imaginative, and The Time Machine was clever and more challenging. My partner especially appreciated the sci fi and tech elements while Im all about the whimsy and wizardry. We are experienced escape room gamers and this was one of our favorites!

Way better than a typical escape room experience! One interacts with the space in a manner that s very clever and creative, which differentiates this experience from other escape rooms and makes it much more fun, rewarding, and engaging. There are all sorts of interesting devices, contraptions, and little engineering marvels to play with- it felt like a magical place! The host was fun and witty, and gave us just the right amount of help when we needed a nudge. We finished with only minutes to spare, and loved every moment of it along the way!

A great way for friends to spend an hour. Fun and challenging with lots of great props. The story lines are well thought out and the rooms are set up good too. We just went through The Time Machine and have previously conquered Tesla s Mystery. Lots of fun!

Mike was awesome and hilarious we had an absolute blast in the School of Magic room. Puzzles are fun and solves are extremely satisfying! We will definitely be back! Best destination in the mall!

This was our first Escape Room experience, we are two busy parents that never get out for a date night so this was an extra special treat for both of us. We both enjoyed the immersive story, looking for clues and solving the puzzles! Not at all scary and exceeded our expectations with each twist and turn of the plot! We will be back! Thank you Mike for your hospitality and for bringing this family friendly version of escape rooms to Portland!

My friend and I had a great time here! We tried Teslas Mystery. Lots of clever and fun puzzles. Tiberious, our game host, was enthusiastic, attentive, and really elevated the entire experience. Thank you for the great time!

Tiberius made our night a wonderful night and we were looking for something fun to try with our teenage daughter and we all had so much fun. He made our experience adventurous the whole way through. Definitely will be back especially how welcoming he was. Thank you so much. And to you Tiberius!

This is, hands down, the single best escape room experience we have ever had. We have done several rooms at places in Las Vegas and all over Oregon, and nothing compares to MindTrix. Exceptionally well done. Super fun and engaging. 10/10. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My husband and I played the Time Machine as well as the Tesla escape room and had an absolute blast! We loved how MindTrix has such a mixture of puzzles to work through. It allowed us both to work to our skills and also pushed us to really think. We will definitely be back for the other games!! Great date night!

Such a great experience! Visiting Portland from Sacramento and Mike is a great host. The rooms are different than a single room escape. A mix of difficult but doable! Definitely try it whether you re experienced or new!!

I took my two youngest boys, 6th and 8th grade, and worked our way through the T.I.M.E. machine room(s). We had so much fun, just the three of us!! Almost completed it too! Less than a handful of solved clues away! Mike was an awesome addition to our fun, always in character when we had questions throughout, or when the boys decided they needed a brief hint. We really had a lot of fun!!! Thanks Mike!

Had so much fun solving the puzzles to save the day in Time Machine. The layout was unique, well thought through, and the production value top drawer. We will be back to immerse ourselves in the other rooms. Thanks for the adventure.

Mike & team hosted a great experience for our 9-11 year olds! We have done others and this is the best we ve seen in Portland metro! Would definitely return!

We had a great time at mindtrix! Rooms were fun and engaging without being to hard. Mine the owner was so fantastic to talk to, while being our game master!

The staff was incredibly nice, but the room left much to be desired. This was not our first escape room experience and while the general idea was good, the room did not include enough decor or mystery. This could be marketed as a beginner room for half the price.
