Mental Trap Escape Room Games

He could almost feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins, the clock ticking away, each tick a hammer blow against his resolve. He'd faced challenges before, but Mental Trap promised something different, a labyrinth not just of rooms, but of the mind. Whispers of other players, their voices echoing with a mixture of awe and terror, painted a vivid picture. Rooms transformed into magical realms, the line between reality and illusion blurring under the spell of intricate puzzles and special effects. This wasn't some hastily thrown-together set with cheap props - this was an experience, a journey into meticulously crafted worlds, each detail a brushstroke on the canvas of their adventure. He imagined himself and his friends, caught in a web of cryptic clues, their minds working in unison to unravel the secrets hidden within each room. Could they maintain their composure under pressure, their logic sharpened by the thrill of the unknown? Sixty minutes, a race against time, and the knowledge that escape from one room only led to another challenge, another layer of the mystery. This wasn't just an escape room - it was a test, a gauntlet thrown down, and he was ready to answer the call.

We did The Fortune Teller escape room with four people and, WOW! The special effects and puzzles made the whole experience seem like magic. Im still thinking about it - it was seamless - I definitely want to do it again so I can just enjoy all the beautiful details.

Took my girlfriend here to do the Escape room. She overheard the cashier say fifty dollars per person and she yanked on my shoulder and almost popped it out of socket I dont want to try an Escape room THAT bad. Lets mini golf instead. I love this woman

Came here with cautiously optimistic expectations but left extremely happy. With some of these escape rooms I have seen you get barely a grade above cheesy Halloween props but this place went all in! The room we did was Blood Forest 2 and the puzzles took us a good minute. They were intricate enough to be challenging but not too hard as to not be able to solve them. The staff here is also great. We went with a group of 6 and bought out the room which was worth it. We had a blast and will definitely return!

The reason to go to these escape rooms over others in the area is that they focus on set design and decoration. These create an interesting and creepy (thanks to their haunted house experience) atmosphere. After the dull decorations and sets of the popular downtown Portland escape room, this was a nice change. Weve done 3 of their rooms here, and Id recommend Mental Trap for anyone who enjoys escape rooms with a focus on sets and atmosphere.

Expensive but so worth it! I had my sister my boyfriend and my brother in-law go as a group and it was a fun bonding experience for all of us. They pay attention to the little details of things and can tell when you get stuck and offer helpful hints. If you like puzzles you should definitely go!

Recently did one of the escape room events. In theory, the event could have been a lot of fun. The room was visually detailed and immersive, but that was the only good part. First off, it was way overpriced at $30/person given the frustration and horrible puzzle implementation. It just wasnt fun, there was no sense of accomplishment or victory. The interactive pieces of the game/puzzles was clearly abused and not taken care of, and many parts were impossible to read or figure out what to do. The...
puzzles were very simple in theory, but even with the provided iPad to unlock extra clues (for a time penalty), we were way past what the clue told us and yet we still couldnt unlock the puzzles. Key clues were missing that made puzzles impossible to solve, and multiple times the room supervisor had to come over the intercom and give us MORE clues that we could have never known without sheer dumb luck. Id say there were about 8 puzzles and 4-5 of them REQUIRED additional help, that defeated the point of the puzzle, the game, and any sense of accomplishment. I left the escape room thinking what was the point and why did I pay for that? At least there was entertainment in laughing about how pointless it was with friends afterwards.

All in all a good experience. I would say the only thing block a 5 star review for me is the location and size of the room I did seemed a bit small. It was challenging and we had fun.

The Blood Forest escape room was great! They clearly put a lot of work into the puzzles and aesthetic. We just barely made it out in an hour.

Highly suggested, had a huge amount of fun and it wasnt too scary. We were worried that it was going to be pop out scary, but it was really just about messing with you, mentally.

EASILY the most underrated Escape Room company ever. Ive done two rooms with Mental Trap (1 at old location and now Hotel: No Vacancy several times). Escape room is a misnomer. Mental Trap creates full-fledged environments and unforgettable experiences. Ive done over 50 Escape Rooms at this point, and nothing has quite reached the immersiveness and impressive tech/effects that Mental Trap brings to each game.

We did this room with 5 people, and it was so fun and chaotic in a good way. Highly recommend for a fun time. Also the place has golf and axe throwing! What more could you want?

First timers! We did blood forest, takes about an hr on average. Very detailed aesthetic, decoration, and sound effects. Similar to a haunted house. It was dark, but we were provided flash lights, and a walkie. This room was honestly pretty challenging, but incredibly fun!! We will definitely go back!
