Escape Games PDX Portland

Been to 2 other escape rooms and really enjoyed this experience! It was definitely more involved and expansive than the others Ive done. Additionally, I think the puzzles were a little more than what Ive normally seen at other escape rooms. Pleasantly surprised by the experience. Would like to try more escapes here in the future!

Group of 6 finished The Hour Before Christmas room and had a wonderful time! The room and puzzle was well designed, though it s confined to a single room, which was new to me. Sophie was our game master; they were super friendly, explained the objectives well, and celebrated with us when we won. The experience felt like a fair price, and I d be happy to return here again for another game.

The location was good had secure parking, however some of the puzzles were difficult such as one you had to look to see letters which was a visual puzzle and difficult to see the letters in the lines puzzle, too much time was spent on this puzzle. We also didn t get any photos of us in the room and the countdown screen was broken so it was difficult to tell how much time you had. I ve been to quite a few escape rooms and overall I expected for spending approx $45 per person for at least the countdown screen to work.

Fantastic. We did Amnesia, very hard and very exilerating when we solved it! We were 14 people and did it with 10 min to spare!, they even let me bring in my one and a half year old in without paying extra.

Santa got us an awesome gift of an escape room, and we ended up choosing the Prison Escape room. We had an issue with booking our gift cards online, and it was quickly and easily fixed over the phone. We walked in the door and were greeted by Zach (hopefully I spelled right) who was very friendly, and happened to be the same person that fixed out online booking issue. The building is very clean, including the restroom. Not cramped at all, and they have some pretty neat shirts and posters to purchase...
Read full review. Our game master was Jax, (again hoping I spelled correctly) who was also very friendly and a great game master. The escape room was a lot of fun, and we even finished with almost 20 minutes to spare! We accidentally left with one of the keys in our pocket, and luckily we hasnt gone far. When returning the key, Zach was very friendly and didnt make us feel bad at all for swiping the key and making them stay a little late to wait for us to return it. We all had a great time and cant wait to return to do more escape rooms. We really want to try amnesia and film noir.

Such a fun time doing Portlandia together! Sophie was a lovely host, room was super creative, and we had a ball. Surprised at how much fun our 8 year olds had and how much they could participate!

Gabriel and Faedra did great running our rooms. It was a lot of fun and we cant wait to do the rest of the rooms.

Prison Heist was great with a variety of puzzles to solve. It was nice because it wasnt a linear escape room and we could work on different puzzles at different times. Madd was the best! They gave us small clues when we needed it most. Highly recommend.

Went here for a TB with NWEE and it was fantastic! We played Prison Break, Tales from the Attic, and Amnesia. Maverick and Zach were amazing gamemasters and Im looking forward to coming back and playing more!

Ahh, why had I not discovered this place sooner? Regardless, Im so glad I did, because my wife and I had two of the most fun escape room experiences in a long time here. We did two rooms -- Tales from the Attic and Prison Break. Having done nearly 50 escape rooms, I can say that Attic is definitely one of the most unique rooms Ive ever done and likely ranks in my top 5. There were surprises around every corner, and it was the right combination of challenging and fun, without being frustrating...
Read full review. I cant say too much without spoiling it, but be sure not to miss it! Prison Break was an easier room, but wow, so much fun! Some familiar puzzles, some nice twists on familiar puzzles, and a couple new ones for us. All in all, we left with lots of smiles, and even a new personal best time record. We had game master Sophie for both rooms, who was awesome -- friendly and helpful every step of the way. Whats better, I appreciated how she was on top of our game when we asked for hints. Its so frustrating when game masters either arent paying attention to your status, or give you unhelpful hints. Here, we were able to get hints quickly and appropriately for where we were at. Thank you -- looking forward to doing more games here in the future! God bless!

I ve been here multiple times, and absolutely loved each experience! It s a fun option for friends, we love the non linear puzzles, the ambiance for every different room is phenomenal, and the Game Masters are so awesome about keeping us immersed in the game. Maverick and Sophie were particularly wonderful, and I appreciate their help and dedication to making sure we all had fun. Definitely recommend

We played the haunted attic game and it was extremely fun! The difficulty seemed just right too, some of the puzzles were pretty tricky but nothing too crazy. Our GM Jax was also delightful :) wonderful experience and well definitely be back!

facility was great, the escape room was fun. the employee in charge of our party was not friendly. when our timer was up, she rushed us out of the room, didnt explain anything to us on how we could have finished. just felt like she didnt want to be there which made us feel like we didnt want to be there. unfortunate because the setup of everything else seemed great. visit was 2:45 amnesia room party of 10.

Fabulous design! Loved the multiple layers of puzzles that needed solving. Brought our5-year old and she enjoyed it as well! Thanks, Gabriel!

Group of 6 just did Portlandia with 15 minutes to spare. Faedra, our game master was incredible throughout and just a delight of a human. The room was non-linear and threw our group for some loops. Well crafted experience!!

Sophie gave us a great experience for our escape room!! They were a great game master and very interactive. We were up for the challenge and they motivated us. Thank you Sophie!!!

We ve done three escape rooms here over the last few years and all of them have been challenging and fun. It has also become a go-to birthday party activity for my teen/pre-teen kids. The staff is great - very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Our foursome tried Prison Hiest (three 10-11 year old girls and a mom) and were unsuccessful - but found it very creative and well done. Thankfully, tips were plentiful when requested. Thanks for a fun time!

Spooky, story-oriented and very challenging! Loved that we got to do this with our friends, put our brains together to get out just in time. Would definitely do this again!

Fantastic. Jax, the TV lady, was a great host. I would highly recommend the noir theme room.

Wish I was in the area long enough to play all their rooms! Jax was a fun gamemaster who tailored her instructions and hints for our group. Prison Heist had a few unique puzzles and had a fun story to go along with it. Even the waiting room had puzzles and plenty to look at while waiting.

My fiancé and I were able to save Christmas thanks to Zach and Rolph the elf! The puzzles are thoughtful and well executed. Zach s hints were extremely clever and well worded. We will definitely be back!

Zach was fantastic for our escape room! He was super helpful and entertaining. His acting was hilarious throughout and made it really fun!

We had a blast playing the Film Noir room. The puzzles were just challenging enough that they were incredibly satisfying to solve without ever feeling impossible. Our GM Maverick was amazing! They were incredibly patient waiting for the rest of our group to get there, and during the game they gave us *perfect* hints when asked. Were already planning our next room!

We did the Prison Heist escape room for my son s 11th birthday- 6 kids, 2 adults. It was very creative and well executed, with moderately difficult puzzles that allowed for people to all work on different clues. MADD was our Game Master and they were very patient and kind and gave just the right clues to keep everyone moving forward and having fun. My interactions with front desk and staff in advance of the event were also extremely kind and accommodating of a last minute schedule change for our group. Highly recommend!

Escape Games was truly a great experience from start to finish, from check-in to the end of the escape room. While we unfortunately did not finish the puzzle in time, I still want to go back the next time we re in PDX to redeem myself. The story line for Tales from the Attic was well-written and challenging. Highly recommend for visitors and residents alike!

What a fun afternoon! We had never been to an escape room before but will definitely be back for more--even if its just because of our bruised egos (we only got halfway through the attic :-o). Ashleigh was awesome and set the scene up really well. Spooky atmosphere, hints when you need them - overall an great experience!

Mave aka Tippy was a riot! We couldnt have done it without you! Highly recommend playing here. Loved it! Zach was absolutely wonderful and funny! The room was hard but we put our minds together and made it out safely with our minds intact yay

This was so much fun! It was great team building! Zach was great, made us laugh. He knew exactly when we needed a hint. Great host! We actually got out of Amnesia with less than a minute left! We were pretty proud of ourselves. I would come back again.

Tales From the Attic made us all communicate as a group and listen to what the other person said! We had a ton of fun searching for clues and writing key words on the ghostly keyboard . Gabriel was a great game master and helped us when we needed it! We had a great time and can t wait to come back! Thanks so much!
