We really enjoyed this venue. The clues were fun and the rooms were very entertaining. It was a bit dark in the rooms which added to the ambiance but it did make it difficult to read some of the things and we had to constantly use our phones for light. Had a great time and will be back to try additional rooms.
The Haunted Hotel escape room was just okay. I have more fun with escape rooms that have a variety of puzzles that appeal to multiple strengths of the group - like numbers, words, patterns. These puzzles felt mostly the same - you read something and then unlocked something. I would try another one at this venue or try somewhere else.
We are by no means people who frequent escape rooms. However, this experience was lacking in several ways. First, we waited well past our reservation time to start our experience. Second, the explanation of what we were to do and how we were to open certain devices was poor. Third, the air conditioning blew the whole time we were in there. It mustve been around 50 degrees, it was very uncomfortable. Fourth, the video that is supposed to explain more after the hosts leave you in the room skipped...
the entire time and we only caught about half of what was said. Fifth, it took about 5 minutes of our time each time we asked for a clue to actually recieve it. Sixth, the staff stated certain objects had nothing to do with the game, but we found this to be untrue. Finally, the overall concept seemed to be flawed. Or, maybe its just a very different experience then we have had at other places. It seemed like we were given no direction at all though and it really was just more confusing than fun. It was an experience, but not one we would pay to have again. One thing I will say is the design of the lobby was nice.
We had a blast! What a gem. Had a no idea it was hidden in the building they re using. Such a great time working to solve the case of Detective . My 10 year old enjoyed this much better than another escape room we had tried on a trip out of state. We enjoyed working to solve the clues and will definitely be returning to try some other rooms!
We were looking for a good escape room and this place had a really good rating so we decided to give it a shot. We decided to go with The Morgue theme and the max was 8 people which is good because too much people would be chaotic. The master room keeper clearly explain the rules and that they are not a regular escape room place but more of a mystery solver which I thought was pretty cool. They have lockers free to use, I liked that a lot. The Morgue consisted of 60 minutes to solve the crime...
of who killed the person at the morgue. The room was themed very well and although we were stubborn to use our clues, they gave us some freebies which was helpful. The room gave you 12 cards of the suspect, murder weapon, motive and time of death to make a decision. Everything was clear enough to make a decision and we got it on the first try with 10 minutes left to spare. I enjoyed it and would definitely come back to do another one!
If you have a group of people and an hour to do something fun and exciting, then I highly recommend a Murder Escape room. We did the Haunted Hotel and it is seriously for the advanced player and not for the weak of heart. The room had a couple of very creepy moments and jump scares. Everything you would expect from a haunted hotel. Also, the inclusion of AR is a new twist we had not encountered in other escape rooms. Glad to say, we got it (three of us) with a couple minutes to spare. We worked hard for this win! Thanks so everyone at Murder Escape. We ll be back for sure. Can t wait to try the other rooms.
We had loads of fun. We were a couple of clues short, but had so much fun racing the clock. Escape is a blast. Its a must try
We had a great time doing cabin in the woods! We will definitely be back!
My partner and I did The Detective s Room and it was so fun! Very nice staff, easy online booking, and overall a great experience! It s different than a typical escape room. Instead of trying to solve clues to get out of a room, you try to solve a murder
We had a lot of fun solving the doctors murder! Interesting set of clues. Our 13 y/o was able to find everything and we put it together just in time.
This was a unique take on escape rooms. I liken it to the concept of the game Clue, but with some twists. We enjoyed the first one so much that we played a second room. They even gave us a 30% off same day play discount.
Best experience ever! The staff is kind and helpful. We went here to celebrate my husband and our roommates promotion. It was the BEST thing to do after working so hard! We were able to relax and fully immerse ourselves into the mystery. This was so much fun and we are definitely coming back again!
Overall, the room didn t feel intuitive as one couldn t tell what was for props and what was significant. There was such a focus on telling us not to destroy things or move things that we were afraid to touch anything. It required the use of cellphones for a flashlight and for clues which takes away from the experience. Not to mention the app didn t work correctly half the time. As is, and for the price of the experience, I would not recommend to anyone. SPOILER ALERTS Below: Death of Blackbeard...
. I had a party of 6 and we did the Death of Blackbeard . I m giving it two stars because I think the idea of escaping a cell was a fun idea, but after that everything was kind of eh. Overall, the room didn t really feel intuitive and there was such a focus on telling us not to destroy things or move things that we were afraid to touch anything. Sometimes this caused us to not utilize the clues because we thought they just broke off. For example, they told us the bamboo for the jail cells breaks easily, so when a piece fell off that we were supposed to use to reach a key, we thought it was just broken and didn t think it was to be used as a tool. Another example is there was a parrot in the room that started to blink red. As soon as we touched it, they said hands off the parrot , so we thought it was just a prop and were afraid to touch it. They then had to give us a clue 5 minutes later to tell us to try to feed the parrot. The video clue given after the game leader first left was skipping. We were required to use our phones to receive other clues and the app would only work sometimes on one of my clues. We had to use our flashlights on our phones to get through the game and this doesn t help one to get into the experience. Especially when phones are required to receive clues. I recommend they work to try to make the game more intuitive to know what are props and what can be used in the game. I also recommend fixing your video clues so they aren t skipping. In another escape room, there was an actor that helped to give hints in a fashion that helped us feel we were really in the experience. Maybe that could be an idea for your escape room. I m hoping the owner reads this and makes improvements.
We really had a blast on our date night! It was something totally different and we will definitely be coming back to try the other rooms you have!!! Thank you for a great night!
My sister from Orgeon wanted to try something different and fun to do while here. We did the Morgue Room. We had an hour to solve the murder. We solved it with 2 minutes and 40 seconds left and only had to ask for one clue. This was such a great fun experience. The staff was great, friendly, helpful and nice. Our helper was very good. Thanks for a great experience. Everyone should try this.
We decided to have our team night here and it was so much fun! Everyone said they had a blast and would love to plan another night. The staff was friendly and helpful, we would definitely recommend it to anyone who is wanting to plan something to do with your work team or just a group of friends.
Not a very great experience. Bad customer service. Staffs were not in the mood to make our time enjoyful, our game master were rushing us in and out, and didnt even bother to ask if we have any questions or take our pictures in the end. Clues were not clues. More like a riddle, that pointed us to a more confused state. Also, the clue only stayed up on the screen for a short amount of time. Lastly but not least, no AC in this 100 degree weather. It felt like a sauna. Might want to add AC to the rooms...
especially when people are already hyped and stress trying to solve the mystery. We were supposed to guess the amount of deaths that happened in the hotel room, but we were about to add ourselves to that number. Definitely not worth the money, and we all left with confusion even when we solve the mystery.
So much fun! We had never been to an escape room and accidentally picked the hardest one. Luckily our daughter is smart and figured it out. The young man that watched gave us some helpful hints and even made us laugh with some lols. We scheduled 1st thing on a Saturday morning and the staff were super friendly. Thanks for a memorable time!
My wife and I decided to switch up our monthly date, with a trip here. I can confidently say, neither of us were disappointed. They weren t super busy when we arrived so there was plenty of parking. Once inside, we were greeting warmly and professionally. We completed our waivers and were off to our room (The Morgue) The staff was friendly and communicated the rules and expectations very well. Once the event started, we were left alone for the first 1/2 hour or so, unless it really looked like we...
were stuck. The game master clues were helpful, but still vague enough that the outcome wasn t spoiled. My only complaint, if it s really even a complain, is that once we d found all the clues, the GM in training was extremely persistent on are you ready to make an accusation messages. Maybe time them out a bit better, but it s not like it ruined the experience in any way. It did take us the whole hour, which I actually enjoyed. Other reviews suggested they solved the whole case in just a few minutes, so I was a bit worried. For the non game related stuff. - the facility was clean and well organized. - the restrooms were also clean - there was a nice variety of drinks and snacks, should you want something. - the cost was well worth it, at least based on our experience. We ll be back, likely with friends! Thanks for the great experience!
We had a blast! We ve been to a few escape rooms and some can feel very disappointing and not well done, but this place absolutely knows what they re doing. The rooms look amazing with so much detail, the puzzles are fun and interesting, and each room has such interesting themes. Plus the combination of murder mystery with escape room was super fun and original. The rooms are rated based on difficulty which is great when you re doing it with either new or experienced people. I 100% recommend this escape room!
I have done about 8 different escape room establishments and over 30 rooms total from those establishments. I would have to rank this on the lower end of my list. One thing I like about this place was that it was different from other places. It have you solving a mystery (makes you feel like you are in CSI) instead of just trying to get out of the room, but beside that nothing was too amazing/eye opening and after a couple of clues everything was too obvious. The first room Ive done is...
Cabin of the Woods with a group of 4. We got there about 20min early. They told us that they werent ready for us and for us to stay in the lobby. We didnt get to our room after 15 min our scheduled time, which is fine, but after the game was over, the game master was rushing us out of the room and wouldnt give us the time to ask questions or get clarification. I get that you need to reset the room for the next team but it wasnt our fault that the game was started late. Another thing in this case is that we thought we were supposed to be watched and heard throughout the game, but when we used our last clue to try to determine the murder, they told us information that we have already stated multiple times out loud, making the clue worthless. After that, my team felt like maybe it was a one time issue and decided to book Haunted Hotel with 5 people a couple of weeks later. This was even a worse experience. The room does not have any AC or fan. The room was pretty tight so with 5 people in 100+ weather, it got stuffy really fast. There was many random locked, empty boxes that didnt have any keys/code. Some of the puzzle have no connection and seem to be there just because. There were lots of puzzle like stuffs all over the room but was not needed. They made us download an app for one scene that was already shown in the room. So app was useless. Asked for our last clue and it made us even more confuse. Usually all escape rooms establishment prefer us not to use our phone light as they already provide some kind of light and it also help us keep ourselves in the moment/mood, but with this room, you will need to used your phone light. It would be nice if we were told this beforehand as us trying to figure this out have cut into our time. This time our gamemaster was a teenager that seem to be here just for a summer job. There was no excitement or enthusiasm at all. She didnt even offer to take a picture after the game. She just lead us to the lobby and left. Seem like they need to get better staff and fix their scheduling. Overall, not worth the money. Rather to just buy the game board Clue and Mysterium.
We recently did the Death of Blackbeard escape room and it was okay. We (6 of us) felt it was nearly impossible to get through without clues or without our cellphone flashlights, and the instructions we were given were contradictory so we ended up wasting a lot of time looking in the wrong areas. They should give you some type of lantern since they say your cell phone is optional to take with you. It s not. You will need it for the flashlight. Overall it was okay but it felt like we were setup to struggle and waste time.
We had such a great time! The scenario was great and the hiding places were even better. The staff was super helpful when we got stuck on the clues. We will be booking a big party there next time, for the whole family to enjoy!
I bought the Farmhouse murders for our daughter and her friends to do! They loved it and had so much fun. As a family we have also done another room here and it was great as well!
Our work group had so much fun here! It was both challenging and rewarding. The facility is nice and clean & the staff is super helpful.
Had a great time solving the Haunted Hotel room. It was challenging but still fun to solve the many different types of puzzles, only needed a couple hints when we got stuck and overlooked a clue. Definitely will be returning to try the other room themes!
Amazing escape room with a lot of depth. My only issue was there were broken parts that were pivotal that we had to wait a while for the staff to tell us to move on. Beyond that, great experience!
My first time doing an escape room and I will definitely be returning for their others. Just my husband and myself did the room and it was a blast.
Such a fun place!! I think Ive done every room, a few twice!! Ive went to a few different escape rooms and NONE compare to this one!! Go have fun
The murder adventure was an interesting experience , I had a party of 2 and we did the haunted hotel which has a difficulty of 9/10 so we expected it to be hard however it wasn t as fun because the main clues would get jammed, and we would have to wait for someone to come help us, it happened about 3 times and when we got to the 4th clue that wouldn t open we just gave up and decided to leave since it only allows you an hour and it takes a while for someone to come help you, for the price we didn...
t get to actually enjoy the experience. I would love to visit more escape rooms, however I do not recommend this one they have a no refund policy and didn t accommodate us for the faulty equipment or atleast let us know ahead of time that they have been having issues so we could decide if we wanted to proceed or not.
