The building is very cool and they have themed it well. The foyer and waiting area is very small. They say their escape rooms can be done by teens on their own and that no prior knowledge is needed to complete the rooms. Everything you need to solve the room is in the room. However, there was at least one thing our group of teens had never seen before (not to give it away) and couldnt solve, that was an old school item. If youre going to say that no outside knowledge is needed to solve the room...
, that needs to be consistent and generationally true. Weve done a lot of escape rooms, and one component shouldnt stop the whole thing, particularly when its likely younger people who are participating. There also wasnt a mix of challenges. They were all sort of the same application over and over.

I took two of my sons (13 and 11) to The Secret of the Tower Keeper. The game involved two rooms and some really fun and challenging clues. My boys figured out more of the puzzles than I did. Highly recommend this escape room and game.

My first escape room and it was fantastic. The staff was super kind and knowledgeable. There will be a new room coming hopefully next month and I will definitely go back!

Great fun!! This was a fantastic double date with my Wife, Daughter & Son in law! It was not our first escape room but our first trip to the Tower. We escaped with two minutes left, and will most assuredly be going back again.

My boyfriend and I have done well over 50 rooms across many states. We love it! This place was wonderful! The rooms are well done, puzzles and intriguing, and the fact the building is an old water tower? How COOL!!

My wife and I attempted the Sir Walter Speakeasy room. After two hints we were able to solve the very fun and elaborate puzzles. A lot of surprises and unique problems to solve. We look forward to attempting the other rooms!

Staff are so polite and helpful, seem genuinely engaged in insuring that you have a pleasant experience. The room and puzzles were very fun and felt like you were getting an equivalent amount of effort for your money. I have hang ups, but nothing I would ding them a star for. First time doing an escape room and apparently I selected one of their most difficult rooms. It would be nice if difficulty levels were more well explained. We did not finish our room in the allowed time, it would be nice if...
a discount was offered to retry in the future as opposed to paying full price to get closure for a half finished experience. Overall though, an absolutely delightful way to kill time and I would again like to emphasize the positive interactions with the staff.

Great escape room! We did Sir Walter Speakeasy and would go back for the others. Weve been to most of the rooms in the Triangle area and this was one of the best. Lots of mechanical puzzles which was fun - it was challenging, but it all made sense and we did escape. We also enjoyed the vibe of the historic water tower!

We had an awesome time at Tower Escapes. The staff was friendly and fast and made it an easy experience to enjoy. The room itself was very well made too, my partner and I enjoy escape rooms frequently and the Sir Walter Speakeasy room was challenging, constantly surprising, and clever. Overall a complete blast and a good price. I cannot recommend it enough.

Booking an escape room and checking in were super easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful at answering questions and giving us hints/nudges in the right direction when we were stuck. The room itself had lots of puzzles and there were cool functions/puzzles I havent seen in other escapes room Ive visited before. Would definitely go again to try out other rooms (they currently only have 3, but not sure if they switch up themes).

Took the extended family of 10 visiting for the holidays; the tower room is amazing visually and the puzzles and clues are incredible. Don t be afraid to take a hint. Some of them are incredibly hard, but a little easier after a hint. Can t ask for a better atmosphere for an escape room and the tie in with the real history of that building in Raleigh is an added bonus.

Awesome place! The medieval room was really cool and good challenge. Our game master was fantastic and was very helpful when needed. I recommend The Tower Escapes to anybody that likes to do escape rooms.

The staff is exceptionally helpful before, during and after your event! Our hosts not only helped us schedule our event for a large group broken up into different rooms, but they made sure we got pictures afterwards when we werent even thinking of it. Super cool, and the rooms are really well put together. Great stories, clues that can definitely be followed, and very imaginative puzzles.

We loved our time here. There were 4 of us and we did the Sir Walter Speakeasy. We loved the old building atmosphere, the challenge of this room (take the hints when you re stuck because they do help!). But it was so much fun and we can t wait to try all of the other rooms!

Without a doubt the best Escape Rooms in Raleigh. Probably all of NC. Challenging, make you think puzzles that never feel cheap or forced. All the answers make sense and are on theme, so so much fun. Our group finished the Speak Easy room with 1 minute to spare and we talked about it all night. So so so much fun!

We are escape room enthusiasts and have completed somewhere around 30, however based upon our experience tonight, I would not recommend Tower Escapes. First, the positive: beautifully staged thematic environment with engaging and clever puzzles. Second, we arrived a few minutes late and were accommodated which we sincerely appreciate. Third, very cute posters to hold during the group pic! Here are the reasons for my low review. Our GameMaster came across as apathetic and uninterested in our success...
. This is the first such experience we have had. Game masters are typically enthusiastic and rooting for the players success and we barely heard from the GameMaster. When we took the group picture, the GM asked for my phone and then insulted me because I didn t realize it was needed for the pic. Other escape rooms take the pic then email it, so it was an honest mistake. So overall, though nothing overtly wrong was done, the GM just wasn t pleasant to work with. Secondly, some components in the room didn t work right and we were left to struggle for many minutes trying to get them to function even though it was obvious we knew the solution. We understand this is to be expected with escape room mechanisms, however we should have been assisted speedily. Thirdly, we were told by the GM that clues would be used only once. However, two of the items in the room were used 2-3 times. Yet our GM was quick to remind us again about the only once when we ran out of time. Lastly, there was no clock so we could see how much time was left and therefore wisely use clues and as previously mentioned, our GM didn t pace us either. You need one or the other. I sincerely hope this was just an off night, because we had high hopes for Tower Escapes and left feeling let down. Based on largely positive comments left by other reviewers, we may have unfortunately been hosted by an inexperienced GameMaster.

We had such a great time at the escape rooms! This was the first escape room for me and most of my party and I definitely have high standards now! Complex clues, interesting ways they re revealed- so much fun! Would recommend!! We did the political one.

we where the only people in the room and had virtually no information to begin. I like that it was harder than other ones but it was way less engaging and enjoyable than other places we have gone. A plot line with people and mental engagement to begin before all the mystery is way better than like a sentance plot line.

Two out of the four of us had never done an escape room before and wow, some of the puzzles difficult to unravel! It was a perfect challenge. I was thinking at first that the decor was a little sparse but then I realized that if they had extra things laying around we never would have gotten through. Everything in the room was part of the puzzle, just as we were told. We did the speakeasy room and I was delighted to hear that all the crazy clues and information about Raleigh s political history were factual.

Really awesome place we did the secret of the tower keeper You could really feel the history of the place and the game was very fun. the game master was helpful with the clues given he really wanted you to make it out its a lot different then most escape rooms visually due to the historical aspect ive done in the past but kinda similar with the puzzles definitely will go back and do there other rooms to be able to see the rest of the tower and have the other experiences.

Tower Escape was so much fun. They were very accommodating and responsive. We changed the reservation on them several times and they were understanding and kind each time even though it was our mistake. In the end, we did one of their rooms with friends and it was challenging but doable and so much fun. I highly recommend.

We had the best time doing this escape room! We ve done a few and this was by far the best one we ve ever done! Daniel was our host and he did a fabulous job at giving us hints if we needed them and giving us the backstory of the tower. HIGHLY recommend!

The location makes it perfect enough. We went through the Secret of the Tower Keeper room. Being in the tower and wanting to get to the top adds a little more quickness to wanting to get it done. My family enjoyed it and we will go again!

The staff was very helpful and provided a positive and fun team building experience! We had 13 people that we split across 2 of the rooms and had a very friendly & competitive adventure. I would definitely recommend this Escape Room!

We had such a great experience at the Tower Escapes! Despite terrible weather, our sales team was able to build teamwork and enjoy an out of office event. I would highly recommend as a team building activity!

So much fun at Tower Escapes with friends during the holidays. Had a great time and they were so accommodating to our group. We did the newest and hardest of the rooms and as we were all newbies to the Escape Room experience, I thought they did a great job making us feel at ease. We understood the rules, how things would/should operate and got some good clues along the way. We all agreed we want to go back to Tower Escapes and do another one again!

Our host was super welcoming greeting us at the door! Our family decided to do the new room, Sir Walter Speakeasy, and the details and puzzle layout was great. It gave everyone a chance to work on something in the room. Blane met us at the end of the room and he ended our night fantastically. If we re back in Raleigh soon, we will definitely stop by again!
