Went here for a work/team building outing and we all had a blast! Andrew, our host, did a great job running both the Sherlock and Dark rooms we did. The atmosphere of the stories behind the rooms were engaging and the my group was able to finish with minimal clues. Clues were given to us only twice, and they were only ever confirmation of things we had already figured out but by chance hadnt worked. Would definitely recommend trying this place out with any medium-to-large group
First ever escape room experience. It was fine but I m not convinced I would rave about it to other people or want to come back and try a different puzzle. We did The Experiment puzzle. I appreciated that the staff had everyone wash their hands or sanitize before starting the puzzle and they took care to reset the room and sanitize between groups. However there were a couple of things that were set up wrong in our room so even though we found the clue it was set in a way that made it not useful...
. Also almost all of the hints that they gave us over the speaker were for things we had already solved. This particular experience was really finicky so that even if we had solved a puzzle with the correct answer it had a hard time unlocking the next thing. This made the puzzle really frustrating because it was more of a mechanical issue with the way it was set up than an issue with us not solving the puzzle correctly, but there is no way to know which it is unless the staff interferes.
Sherlock room was amazing. The first time, I did not know what to expect. Lots of fun, my group did this room New Years Eve . The clues are hard. Definitely, will have you thinking. So much fun
Very clean, friendly staff and well organized place. We did the vampire one and greatly enjoyed it. Highly recommended
Had a great time here! Andrew is really friendly and is a great host. The place is located downtown (good location and parking) and is literally in a house. The rooms were well designed and both our groups were able to complete the puzzles! It is great for team building. However, the gadgets/contraptions used were not the most advanced that I have seen! Would still definitely go again.
We have done a few escape rooms before and have found this location. Everytime we have a chance to visit and try a new room it is a ton of fun and the hosts are great with assistance!
We stopped here on our way out of town because we love escape rooms and wanted to try one in Raleigh. We preferred to try another business but this one fit into our schedule. There is free 2 hour parking behind the building. It is in a older looking house in Raleigh. We (2 of us) did The Experiment room and did not get out. It had a 30% success rate. The lowest we have tried before. The game master was very friendly and helpful. We have been to several escape rooms in the past 2 years and this place...
was one of our least favorite rooms ever. We though the room was kind of bare bones. Some of the items we had to use did not measure accurately which already makes the room less fun. There was nothing special or cool about this room. No sound effects, etc. When we got a clue it was written on a piece of paper and slipped under the door after a knock occurred. We arent sure if we picked the wrong room to do at this place or if it just wasnt our preference of an escape room because there were no special effects and it was not immersive. We wont be going back here but we will try another escape room in Raleigh, if we have time when we are in Raleigh again.
This was our very first escape room experience, and we had an absolute blast! The puzzles were difficult, but certainly not impossible. We did the heist room which was a very fun theme! We will definitely go back and would recommend this for any group date/outing!
My first ever escape room and it was a great time. Clean, safe, creative and engaging. Would definitely go again.
This escape room was a lot of fun! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was challenging but solvable. There is parking behind the building or you can park on the street. Highly recommend.
We had a group of 6 and it was our first time ever doing an escape room. The dark room was so fun and challenging we didnt get to escape in time but we still had a blast and will definitely be going back to try out the other rooms!
Had a blast! Went with my two daughters and their husbands. We did the Sherlock room and five people was a great number for that room. It was our first escape room so it was a bit daunting at first but once we got started, we kept it moving. It was fun because everyone contributed and we really used our individual skills as a team to get out. We almost asked for a hint twice but powered through and got out with 18 minutes to spare. It was so fun and we were inordinately proud of ourselves. Highly recommend and we will be doing more escape rooms in the future!
Went with 3 adults & 1 young teen for a birthday outing. I called prior to when they opened and they called me back almost immediately to answer my questions. We had a blast! We did the Sherlock room ( we didnt know it was their most difficult room - LOL). Lets just say...we were locked up the entire time!! Our room master was friendly and very helpful with our feeble attempts to free ourselves! The price was reasonable. We had a great time. They will see my face again --- aaaaannnnd they will probably have to help me get free again - Ha!!!!
This is the first time I ve done an Escape Room of any type and it was SO MUCH FUN! We did the heist. It was great. Both fun and challenging. I m really excited to do other rooms they have to offer. It was great fun for our family. They re located in a great area with lots of restaurants close by. The staff here were so incredibly nice and helpful! I will definitely be back!!
The staff is super friendly. We were able to take our two young kids with us without an extra charge. The puzzles are unique and challenging, but fun. Theres always a fun surprise.
Had such a great time at the Experiment escape room. It was a bit tricky but we were allowed hints and were allowed to stay and finish after our time was up. Great experience!
My coworkers and I split into two rooms - the Dark Room and the Experiment - and we all had a great time. The rooms were well-designed and challenging enough to keep us busy! Id love to return!
Fun time! We went for my son s 30th birthday. We made it out and enjoyed all the puzzles. We will be back!
Perfect place for a friends night out! The staff was very helpful and the overall experience was 5 stars. We tried the Sherlock room and it had us on our toes the entire game. We will be coming back to try out another room! :)
My first escape room and it was pretty dope! Friendly and helpful people there. It was thrilling to pur my resident evil skills to the test! 10/10 would do it again.
My son and his teenage friends had a great time in the Dark Room as a part of his birthday celebration.. really appreciated the excellent communication from staff prior to our scheduled time. Highly recommend.
This is a great experience to do for someone s birthday when you have multiply age groups in your party. Lots of laughs, as well as surprises. Recommend it highly for personal or professional activities
Super fun experience! My husband and I took our two college daughters, and we had a blast. It was tricky but doable (especially with a few hints). We will definitely be back!
The Experiment: Went into this escape room with a group of four, this was a first time experience for all of us. Upon entering the building we were greeted by friendly staff, and sat in the waiting room about five minutes before entering the experiment. You are indeed asked to wash your hands. The staff was very attentive during our experience and able to pick up where we were while requesting clues. We will definitely be back.
Our team visited for a team building event and we had an awesome time! We split into two groups and competed against each other to see who could escape first. We agreed that each team was allowed three clues. Our host, Andrew, was great. I highly recommend visiting and I hope to go again and try a different room.
We did The Heist room and had a fantastic time! We were 4 newbies and 1 experienced (but had never finished) group. They were great and helped when we asked. The room was challenging and very fun. We did it! Loved this place and will be back. Highly recommend - great fun.
Staff was super helpful and did a great job explaining everything (before and after). The room was challenging (we did The Experiment), but all the clues/setup of the room made sense and it wasnt impossible to do! We escaped and had a BLAST! Thanks for a wonderful experience :)
Had a great time. Confession - had to ask for clues, so, that means the room was hard! The staff were amazing!
First time for me in an escape room so I have nothing to compare it to. We were in the Dark Room. We had a really good time with it, clues were hard and had to ask for several hints, lol. We were responded to right away when we asked for help and was even granted extra time. I look forward to coming back and trying another room.
I m very surprised this place has such great reviews. I have been to many escape rooms in several states and this was by far the worst. The dark room was so boring and nothing really made sense as far as they mystery tasks to solve. The guy who gave us hints was very condescending and no fun at all. It took a long time to get their attention and their speaker sound was of such poor quality we could barely hear him. Definitely taking my friends and out of town guests back to Game On where the rooms...
are so much more fun and the staff is great. We just wanted to try a different escape room to see if they are as good as some of the others we ve been to. My daughter, who goes to escape rooms several times a week, was very disappointed. And we did not get any pictures taken at the end. Very disappointing place.
