Game On Escapes & More - Cary

We had such a great time! Went with my wife, our young son, and a friend of his. We did The Sorcerers Mistake. Hannah walked us through an intro and ran the room for us. A perfectly family friendly experience. It was challenging enough for the grown-ups but still so much the kiddos could contribute, too. Highly recommend. We will be back.

This was my first-ever escape room, which was an awesome experience! I was with some of my classmates and teachers and we all had a great time. We were able to get out of one of the hardest escape rooms that they offer which is MacGregor Manor. The MacGregor Manor room was well-built and decorated accordingly. When our group finished the room, I was able to talk with the owner of Game On escape rooms, Mr. Hamad, I asked why he decided to open this type of business, and what made him become an entrepreneur. Such an awesome guy! So awesome that he even offered our group pizza, snacks, and drinks at the end! Overall, my time at the Game On escape rooms was amazing! They got me hooked, that I want to come back and do more rooms! Thank you to Hannah and Mr. Hamad for giving us a great time!

Had a great experience with the Manor room! The clues were diverse and fun to puzzle through. We only had one small technical issue, but the attendant fixed it remotely within seconds. Alex was the best!

We had so much fun and an awesome experience! My daughter and I wanted to do something together to spend sometime together to bond and enjoy time with each other. Read full review a difficult room to get out of, (it lived up to our expectations), but with Hannah s assistance and our tenacity we were able to get out. The room was very creepy and interactive and it felt as if we were in a movie. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone that is looking to connect, re-connect, bond, or just want to share a wonderful experience with someone you are close to, or would like to get close to, to try this facility! It can change your relationship with the person you are spending time with!

We did the Trapped in a Jungle escape room with a party of 5 and it was a great fun experience. Giving it 4 stars only because the game was listed as medium online but was very hard to crack. If you have done several escape rooms before then this would be a fun one to do as it s very challenging. Overall the concept behind it and the clues and challenges were mind blowing. Very well thought of and when you did solve something there s a feeling of exhilaration. Would highly recommend and we will be back for more!

My family and I (wife and 3 daughters 15/12/12) have been to a handful of escape rooms in different places and this is by far the best. It was challenging but not overwhelming and Steven D did an awesome job as game master (we need a couple clues haha). Definitely going back and doing the other rooms!

Super fun!! Not to brag (but totally bragging) my team made it out of the most difficult room with almost 4 minutes to spare!!!! We happen to be the coolest kids in town, but that might just be us- but a really fun and entertaining room with a great game master Malik, he was super nice!! Highly recommend :)

Our first visit to Game On Escapes (Rest Easy Motel) was pretty awesome. Our Game Master Malik H was amazing. Strong possibility that we would return to try a different rooms. If we could request a game master but would be on the lookout for Malik H. Thanks for ensuring our sisters day out ended with a great experience.

Jungle Escape - Our party has probably done 20 escape rooms. First time at this location. The escape room itself was pretty well done. The wear of some things was evident in you had to force them to work. The game master was well below average. We had some struggles and his clues would literally be things like find the wooden items, there should be x pairs of them or use the map . All the while, we had already been holding the wooden items and trying to use them for a clue for 10 minutes. It was like he was reading off a script that was 2 steps behind where we were on the puzzle journey. The room gets a B, the clue guide gets an F.

Sydney was the game master, and she was lovely. I did two escape rooms, the jungle room and the MacGregor room. Both games were really cool! The jungle themed room was easier and I really enjoyed the puzzle lay out. We had so much fun that we decided to try a more challenging room later that day. The MacGregor room was a scary themed room, and it did include quite a few impressive jump scares with locks unlocking quite dramatically. Beforehand, a short video is played and there was a nice bathroom...
Read full review and water station. Everything was clean and tidy, and the theme was very present throughout the place. The video states that three hints are given and additional ones can be given at the cost of a penalty.... but sometimes we would get a minor hint such as you completed this task already or look at the clock which was really nice because it made sure we still had fun and there werent penalties. I feel like they read our group well enough to know that we just wanted to have fun and solve the room, and we were fine with the gentle pushes. A truly 10/10 experience!

My friends and I are still reeling from the riveting clues, surprises, and excitement we experienced doing MacGregors Manor. Ethan was great (and a cutie!) and made our hour (plus a few minutes more ) so engaging and entertaining. Would definitely return. If you, like me, are very easily startled at anything and everything, please bring some friends so they can carry the team to the end!

Took our staff here for a little holiday escape and even though we were all about the escape rooms the game show show down was everything!!! Funny and just really different and awesome! Without a doubt made the whole experience. The hosts and his two helpers were amazing! I seriously think the game show show down was the most we ve all laughed in awhile. Truly well done! My sisters and I went to Game On Escape Room as part of our Sister Day outing it was a GREAT start to our day! We chose the Rest Easy Motel Room (Hard). I ve been to many escape rooms, in different states, and I must say, Malik H is by far the best Game Master I ve had. His clues were on point. He is a jokester! Sights, sounds and a lot of hands on clues that brought everything together. And A LOT of locks! Thanks again Malik and Game On Escapes. I will definitely return when I m back in the area.

This was my first escape room. I didnt know what to expect but Malik made it so much fun! He got us several times with the We had a great time and will be back with The Hoard.

Jasper was awesome, and we had a fantastic time, even though we didn t escape the jungle!! Definitely will try an easier level escape room next time since this was my first time trying an escape room.

My son and his friends experienced the Rest Easy Motel escape room and said they had a blast! Staff member Ethan was extremely professional and friendly; he accommodated our groups late arrivals, deferring the start time so that ALL of the boys could experience the challenge from start to finish together. And Ethan never seemed put off or suggested that our time would be truncated due to the two late arrivals. Excellent experience overall!

A big thank you to Sterling at the Boxyard location. We participated in The Cat Burglar room. He did a great job giving us a few nudges, while letting us enjoy the room and solve the puzzles on our own. This room had some very interesting and unique puzzles. Great experience!

This escape room is affordable and the themes are so detailed. You can tell a lot of work went into designing them and it makes it so fun. Maddie was also amazing!! Me and my friends were really struggling and she was so patient and gave us extra time and hints and even though we STILL ended up losing, she helped us through it so we could say we made it out. Highly reccomend

What a great escape room, we did the hard version and made it out with 45 seconds to spare. Our game master Malik was AMAZING! He helped keep us on track and moving along.

This was our first time at this escape room location and it was absolutely worth the almost 2hr drive! Steven (and his boss?) were so helpful and accommodating, they took us as a walk in and with 2 babies (kiddos under 4). We did the sorcerer room and made it out with 3mins to spare!! So much fun even for the kiddos. We will definitely be back! Thanks again guys

I really loved this escape room we did trapped in a jungle !! Alex was the best game master ever!!! We escaped very much thanks to their amazing clues!! And I loved that there was humor in the puzzles and clues too!! Will for sure come back!

I saw this place pop up as a Facebook ad while visiting family. Saed was so helpful when it came to making the last minute reservation. He was also an absolutely AMAZING game host!! I gathered 9 other family and friends to hang out way past our bedtime and we enjoyed every single minute of it! In the end, everyone was super happy with the spontaneous night out and there were zero regrets. I highly recommend the Game Show Showdown to anyone who wants to have a fun and entertaining time with some friendly competition. Thank you again Saed!

Hanna helped us stop sabotaging ourselves, LOL! we kept overthinking some of the puzzles, but with a little redirecting from Hanna, in the end, we beat the timer. <3 the macgregor manor room was alot of fun and we had a blast. a few distractors, and we picked up on a clue very early on that was actually for the final escape, but truly this is one of those things are not always what they seem rooms. take nothing for granted. Great experience and customer service. Hanna was great at giving us a nudge in the right direction when we either overshot a puzzle (got ahead of our selves) or a hint when we were stuck figuring out the order. A great activity for the family.

This was a great experience! It was challenging but super fun! Sarah L. did a great job as a game master. She gave good hints without making things too obvious. This was a great way to work on team building, communication, and having fun while thinking creatively.

my partner and i did an escape room here and had so much fun! it was the hardest one (of course we picked that one as beginners lol) but Ethan helped us out greatly. He gave us lots of clues and was interactive with us while still letting us figure it out on our own. He even gave us extra time when we were struggling, thanks so much !!

I dont usually write reviews, but I really want to give a shoutout to Amber, our game master. She made our escape room adventure super fun! Whenever we got stuck, she gave us hints that helped us solve the puzzles without just giving away the answers. She also gave us more time and assistance when we needed it. Feeling accomplished after escaping made our whole night better. Amber was so excited when we made it out, and she even explained some of the tricky puzzles afterward. There was this funny moment when we were yelling go go go to get to the next room, and I looked up at the screen and saw that Amber had typed GO GO GO. Overall, she really made our experience awesome!

Had a lot of fun tackling the McGregor Manor room. Malik was super patient and accommodating with us, even allowing me to join as a last minute guest. Hope to visit again next time were in Cary!

We had a blast of a time doing the Jungle Room. The puzzles were challenging and inventive-truly ones we hadn t seen before in other rooms. Shout out to Sarah L. for her expert game master skills! We were very thankful for her clues!
