Brainy Actz Escape Rooms Reno

So much fun! We came with with family that was visiting as we thought it would be a fun activity to do together and it exceeded our expectations! We did the Secrets of the Master escape room and had a blast! Everyone in the group got to participate in solving the different puzzles, it really took all of us working together, and we completed it within the hour, with some helpful hints from our wonderful host, Lee. Im looking forward to going back to the other puzzle rooms and the other fun activities we saw like the archery, nerf wars and splatter paint. Although the rage room and axe throwing looks interesting too!

We went on The Legacy challenge this time. John (our instructor/guide) did an awesome job at getting us pumped for the escape room. We finished it with 1 minute remaining. Whew. Definitely a thrill specially getting all the pieces together and figuring out the clues...even more so when struggling to do so. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to go. Family fun (we took our kids). Next on the list is axe throwing.

Super fun experience! We were the last group of the day and the staff was still very energetic and friendly. Definitely recommended for a group of friends ;) would love to go again.

This place was fun. Big/Small room but we made it fun for Nerf wars airsoft. Customer service was great and helpful.

It was fun. We rocked to our own music while throwing axs. The employee Amir was so nice. She was cheering us on. If you are competive you must grab a friend and try it. Next is the Escape Room.

We had family in from Southern California and wanted to do something fun with the kids! We did the Secrets of the Master room and our party of 9 was able to get out with 13:53 to spare! We had a blast!

Super fun! We did the Nerf war and while we were there my daughter signed up for an escape room! Will visit again while in Reno!

Went here for a rage room and neon splatter room with my family for a birthday. The gentlemen that were there helped us organize and get our brought supplies into the rage room and had it setup for us. The absolute funniest activity we have done in a while they also had some more tvs for us to smash even when we ran into a hiccup they went above and beyond with there job they deserve to be payed well. Thanks for the fun experience.

My boys got invited to a Nerf war and they loved it. This is actually the second time weve been here and they enjoyed every second.

Great rage room experience with my nephew, definitely good for when you want to blow off some steam! they also have escape rooms, archery and axe throwing. A must do with family and friends

I had such a good time trying to breakout of the Jungle room .beautifully done and our host Nicole was great! We definitely will be returning to do all the rooms.

We did secrets of the master. It was a fun experience for my whole family. We went about a min over the 1 hour time limit and had like 6 clues but overall it was fun. A few of the clues we did not need but we asked because we did not notice anything after we did the next step. I can not give it away but it was awesome. The story line was cool. I wish you the best of luck at this room. We had a blast.

We did 2 rooms today. They were awesome. Our host was amazing!

I want to start by saying the customer service and the attendant that was there was first rate. Very helpful and kind. She cared about the customers. With that being said everything else about this place was sub par. We did the Jungle escape room and we where expecting a first rate experience since we paid $129 for 3 people to do this room. Read full review done a lot of them in the area so we where expecting good quality and difficult and entertaining puzzles to solve. The experience on the other hand was not good. Cheap products mostly just taped on a wall. Most of the puzzles where either easy to solve or completely dull. The heat in the building was broken. So the place was 53 degrees. A few small space heaters to heat at least a 3000 square foot building. Not so nice during the Reno winter. Spent more time focusing on not being warm than the actual room. All the other escape rooms we have been to had very interactive and challenging puzzles so this was a complete let down. I would say we are decent but not amazing at these places. We still need hints and barely finish on time, but when you reach the final 2 puzzles and still have 30 minutes left than they need to rethink this place. We will not be coming back!!!

We had such a blast! Leta was great. She was very clear with directions and safety standards, which was nice that they put the customers safety first! The room was challenging and Leta was really great about giving clues! She didn t give the answers just enough to get us thinking. I would highly recommend taking friends, families or even making it a work event! It s a great team building experience! Thanks again, Leta! You were awesome!

This place was so much fun! My boyfriend and I did the Splatter Paint Room as well as the Nerf War and both were incredible. The staff were amazing and very patient with all our questions. Cant wait to go back again!

Game room attendant very nice. But the game, mystery at the lost point lodge, was not. Puzzles were disconnected and many of the elements simply didn t work even if you entered codes correctly. They need to completely revamp that room.

The rage room was one of the best experiences I have ever had. It s great to go by yourself or with a group. You can play whatever music you want to vibe to. It s great as a stress reliever or getting over a breakup lol. Brenden was super helpful and a great guy. Definitely add it to your bucket list.

We checked out this escape room while on a business trip to Reno. I have done a few escape rooms back home and up in Oregon and the two we did here (The Legacy and The Secrets of The Master) were ridiculously fun and challenging. My business partner and I escaped the first room with about four minutes left on the clock! Needless to say we feel that the four of us are going to work well together in our new endeavor! The best part about the escape rooms we did was that they are big and spacious! I dont want to give anything away but if you are used to tiny escape rooms and wish they were bigger then you need to go to Brainy Actz Escape Rooms!!!

The rage room was awesome! It was perfect for any pent up negative energy. Max had great customer service and was so chill! It was great that we could bring our own items in to smash too. We will be back!

Very disappointing. In Reno for Hot August Nights and wanted to do something fun and a little unusual with local friend and my grandson. Previously enjoyed axe throwing in Roseville, CA, with each pod equipped with overhead computerized displays, safety features like iron mesh curtains between each target and stable barriers between thrower and the rest of the group. Read full review sub-par and actually dangerous with no iron mesh between each pod and no separation between thrower and rest of the group. Many axes of various sizes along with knives and other throwing objects, but they were all dull and many chipped. The attendant instruction displayed no expertise in throwing, and while he was in another area of the building, only returned to let us know our time was nearly up, then again at the stroke of one hour. The cost of over $100 (including a booking fee) for three people was simply not worth it.

Booked for husband and son for Father s Day. Rage room experience was extremely disappointing- small dark room with 10 mini mason jars to break along with an old elliptical already clearly beat to a pulp and a previously destroyed plasma tv- pretty sure those particles are not to be inhaled.. employee was unaware how to get any music to play. Poorly managed business. Waste of time and money.

Went here with 4 adults and had a great time with The Master escape room! The clues were designed well - not simple but easy enough to keep it interesting. Our host was awesome! The only criticism I have (and the loss of a star) was that some of the items in the room felt like they hadn t kept up maintenance (broken magnets, time clock didn t work etc). Other than that, great concept and the actual escape experience was fab.

My husband and I booked a birthday party there for our daughters turning 19, and 15. Kevin and his staff were such a great help planning and setting up the party room. The party room was so convenient. It was clean and plenty big for all our guests. We did Secrets of the Master, and everyone had a blast, it was a great bonding experience. Nerf wars was great fun too. My whole family and all our friends had the best time. I highly recommend this place for a party for any age.

This was our second time here and both times have been so much fun! I saw that they have axe throwing now! Thats awesome! Had I known that, I probably would have reserved a time for that too. But the escape rooms are still our favorite. I love the pressure of racing the clock and once youre in the zone, you feel like its real life! Both times I have gotten so consumed by the task that when the door opens because youve beaten the room, Ive screamed myself back to reality. Its a fun thrill! I highly recommend going to this location. The staff have been great both times and the place is clean! I cant wait to do the next room!!! Also, my children (9 and 11) loved this place!

Let me preface this by saying I ve only done the escape rooms and not the other stuff. With that being said, I ve done close to 80 rooms, and the 3 I ve done here have all be horrible. The GMs do a pretty decent job all things considered but the rooms are in disrepair, things don t work, they look like they were thrown together in a week, they re not immersive, the puzzles aren t intuitive and were just disappointing in all regards. For additional context we did the Jungle Safari, The Legacy (before it was replaced) and Secrets of the Master, Secrets was the best but was still very lacking quality wise. Jungle Safari was the worst, the props were very cheap, and the room looked like it was thrown together in a week. In conclusion, Brainy Actz may have decent other activities, but their escape rooms aren t worth your money.

We had the most amazing experience at Brainy Actz. I purchased a 1 hour nerf war package and took my son to celebrate his birthday with some friends. Christian was our host and really made the adventure over the top for these boys (aged 9 and under). He was so professional and also very engaging with the kids, keeping them excited and pumped up during the round and quick to help them with any gun jams. I highly recommend a visit here for the kiddos and we are definitely excited to go back for a parents only date to check out the escape rooms. Thanks again to Christian for making it really fun time for the kids.

While my family was in town for the holidays, we decided to do escape rooms for entertainment. These were awesome! They have different difficulty levels for their rooms and really cool technical puzzles. They were both challenging and entertaining! Vincent helped us both times we went and he did a great job and was very knowledgeable. I m really glad my family decided on this location because they were super fun! All of us had a lot of fun doing these rooms and I highly recommend them!

Okay, this place had great reviews .I now realize that it s for everything EXCEPT their escape rooms. We did two rooms this evening secrets of the master and Lost Jungle Safari . We consider ourselves escape room experts and have done all the rooms in this area. Please take my advice and save your money this place was AWFUL. Let s start with the jungle room terrible, very cheaply designed, not immersive AT ALL there is a random office desk in the middle of the jungle etc. really terribly done...
Read full review, none of the puzzles were intuitive and none of the automated functions of the room worked in fact the hidden door to the next room was not only NOT hidden, it was partially opened and we were told by the game master to just pretend we don t see it. I could go on but instead we will move onto the next room secrets of the master talk about cheesy and thrown together most of the automated things again didn t work and we were able to escape the room without solving some of the puzzles because the automated lock on the safe and laser light aren t working so the game master just manually bypassed us through it. We spent $100 per room and I want a refund the ONLY good thing about this place were the very nice female game masters, they apologized profusely for how janky the rooms were. Best rooms in town are Keystone Escape Games and they are cheaper!! GO SOMEPLACE ELSE if you are interested in trying escape rooms for the first time because this place will make you never want to do another room.

How do you call a NEW customer the day before their sons 10th birthday and say there is a problem...The reservation we made 2 months ago has been cancelled because they recently booked a private party. They wanted to reschedule the event, but what they dont realize is that there are 8 families involved and we were able to get all the kids out of school early to to been there on time...Yeah, lets just reschedule. Maybe while they are rescheduling, they can change our sons birthdate was well. IT COMES DOWN TO MONEY OVER CUSTOMER SERVICE. GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE.
