St Louis Escape

He could almost feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins, the thrill of the unknown pulling him in. St Louis Escape wasn't just an escape room, it was an experience. He pictured himself stepping into Dracula's castle, the musty smell of the dungeon filling his nostrils, or finding himself face-to-face with a velociraptor in the Jurassic Island Escape. The reviews promised high-end, detailed rooms, and he wasn't one to shy away from a challenge. Later, he could imagine the satisfaction of conquering the Blacklight 18 Hole Retro Mini Golf, bathed in the neon glow of the 80s. A smile crept across his face; this was going to be epic. He could already picture the Instagram-worthy photos he'd take against the themed backdrops. This wasn't just an escape, it was a journey into another world, and he was ready to take the plunge.

We took our son & a couple buddies here for his 16th. They loved it! The jump scare animatronics were a bit of a surprise, but they did take this escape room to the next level. The 80s black light golf was radical! My only complaint is those dreaded stairs you must climb. No points deducted- I could use the cardio.

If you think youre lost as you arrive to the building, you made it to the correct place. We did the retro blacklight mini golf. We were one of only 3 groups playing so it was pretty awesome. The holes are incredibly unique and some are hard AF to complete without just picking up the ball - keep that in mind if you find yourself behind a group that doesnt plan to limit their strokes. Over all, it was fun and we enjoyed the challenge!

I live in Los Angeles and have completed several Escape Rooms. The Saint Louis Escape Room blows all my other Escape Room experiences away by far. Get there early or stay later because they have a huge selection of pinball machines and they are incredible. Also, the indoor put-put course is super creative and interactive. Finally, I took my 12 year old son and his cousin of the same age for the Haunted Hotel Escape room and they provided the perfect amount of support to make the Escape room challenging but not impossible. Plus the rooms decoration, detail, and concept was masterful. I will definitely go here again.

This was SO much fun. I was blown away. Well produced and presented it is a must experience. With so many theme options of escape rooms, many visits are ahead of us. Love it!

By for the most detailed escape room in St. Louis we have ever been at. The room are not just rooms with clues you are literally in Draculas castle or Jarasic Park. 10 out of ten experience. Just be sure to park next to the place and not the parking lot if possible I suspect the parking lot has had a card scammer twice when I parked there.

We went with 3 adults and 2 children (8 and 10) and did the Oz room. The place is up a very steep set of stairs. They were ready for us right on time and explained how it worked. The experience was fun, the kids enjoyed it but they didnt really get the puzzles. There were a few things that we got stuck on and they gave us hints. We ended up escaping the room just in time.

Went on a rainy night to enjoy the mini golf. For my first time, it was very fun. The decor and atmosphere was very alluring!! I had an amazing night here Price for entry: $14 Ticket type: Group ticket, price per person for 18+ holes

Fun, lively, and busy. We have done a couple of escape rooms both were pretty amazing. We have also done the mini golf and its great also. They have a huge board game selection while you wait for escape rooms too.

We booked a reservation for black light mini golf on a weeknight and were the only ones in the place! Its an awesome place. Pinball space, mini golf. There are escape rooms too which we did not do. The mini golf was fun as not all holes are traditional golf style, like a skee ball, pinball & plinko style hole! The biggest downfall, the steps up to and back down. Definitely check this place out as it has year round fun and not just the haunted house.

This place always has a great escape room to complete! Everyone we have interacted with who works there is super friendly. Kids can enjoy this too! This was our daughter s 10th birthday party choice and she enjoyed it so much that she chose it again for her 13th birthday party. A great place to go!

These escape rooms are always so so so much fun! Unique set ups, and themes for the room with just the right amount of challenge! Youll have a blast with these. I also really like the fact that they offer put put golf as well. Its kind of expensive but it is fun for the whole family. The glow in the dark set up puts a unique spin on it as well.

Great experience! Rooms are challenging, but hints are very helpful in putting you back on the right track. Lots of fun details and surprises. Neat pinball room as well.

Thank you Destiny for being the best Game Master for Escape from Oz. We had a fabulous time - we loved the multiple rooms in the game. This is such a creative space, we will definitely come back for the pinball, mini golf, and more escape rooms.

These escape rooms are absolutely amazing. They have more than one room you have to go through. We did the wizard of Oz and it was beyond cool.

We had an amazing time in an immersive room! The puzzles were hard but so much fun! Afterwards we played the funnest mini golf I ve ever played. 100% coming back with a group to tackle more scary rooms!

We had our 13 year olds birthday here. They did Blackbeards escape room, mini golf, and the pinball arcade. The girls loved it. Destiny was our host and did a wonderful job.

Love the glow in the dark mini golf! All of the holes are unique and we just played for fun but you can keep score if you want. It took about an hour for us to go through. This is the second time we ve been (last time was 2 years ago) and there is new holes added and some familiar ones so that s nice they update them from time to time. Complaint: I will say it s definitely not accesible to get to unless there s a secret elevator somewhere that I don t know about. There s a very steep...
set of stairs that you have to walk up to get to the escape rooms, mini golf, and arcade. (I was very out of breath lol) It seems like this is built in an old warehouse of some kind so that might explain the strange stairs? But yeah there s no way for someone with a wheel chair or other physical disability to get up there unfortunately :/

great detail, narrative is decent. the puzzles are not very well linked together, too many red herrings or hidden items unless you stand in previous room. worth doing

(This review is for the mini golf only) This retro black light mini golf course is one of my favorite golf courses of all time and definitely my favorite in the St. Louis area. There are 18 entirely unique holes, and from my understanding, they cycle them out from time to time. I enjoyed this golf course way more than Puttshack, which is right next door! Puttshack only has 9 holes on each course, its insanely crowded, and its obviously more expensive. The entrance is to the right of the entrance to The Darkness. Inside is a big stair case leading up to the golf, escape rooms, and pinball machines.

Without a doubt, the best in the biz. The production value is exceptional (graphics, mannequins, moving parts, props...seriously movie set worthy), the puzzles are challenging but fun, and the mini golf and pinball options put this place over the top. I love that they are regularly rotating rooms so you can get a fresh experience without too long of a wait if you are local and visit them often. Game Master Andy is the GOAT!! Weve had him for multiple rooms, and he always brings great energy. He does voices too, themed to the room youre in. And hes very skilled with how he words clues so you still get the satisfaction of solving with a little extra help. He makes St. Louis Escape so fun to come back to again and again!

The Cellar escape room exceeded all expectations! Destiny, our game master, was an absolute gem funny, helpful, and truly made the experience unforgettable. The puzzles were brilliantly varied, keeping us engaged and challenged throughout. The room itself was massive, offering a terrifying journey into the world of a serial killers lair, perfectly blending the elements of an escape room with the ambiance of a haunted house. From the intricate set design to the chilling atmosphere, every detail was meticulously crafted to enhance the thrill. Highly recommend The Cellar for your next escape room!

I am incredibly disappointed in this company. The misleading advertisement of the new escape room , which was slight changes to a puzzle or two all the decode was the same. The room master who was nonobservant. The mechanisms were broken and not working and it took her almost 20 minutes to tell us to wiggle the door. Then the fact that I privately messaged them to bring up my concerns and got crickets? Disrespectful. We have been doing these escape rooms for years, and was so excited when I heard...
an add on the radio. We came for my boyfriend s birthday to celebrate but instead left disappointed. This business is going downhill, and I will not be returning. Edit: I do not have you confused for another business. I truly wish I did. The radio ad was in February or March. I gave you a month to respond to my email, because I had hoped that you d do the right thing. Your game master literally said at the end that a few puzzles were changed , but no props changed that s for sure. The books, directional lock, the key in the doll, the organ, the books floating on the screen, all the same. The theme in your responses to reviews is always clear, deny, deny, deny. The fact that you barely changed the name of the room is proof enough.

This place is amazing and the staff is phenomenal! We rented this facility for my daughters 14th and 20th birthday parties. It was a wonderful experience when she was 14 and even more memorable as she turned 20. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and requests. We all had a great time! The esthetics of the building are exceptional and perfect for memorable photos. The game was awesome! We did the Haunted Mansion escape and it was like we were really there! It was creepy and challenging with a few humbling surprises. Weve done many escapes there over the years and held two private events. We have made great memories at St. Louis Escape and will continue to do so! Thanks for the memories!

I ve done about 10-15 escape rooms over the years and this was hands down the most fun I ve had. The designs for the rooms are amazing, the puzzles are fun and difficult and the staff are super friendly and amazing with the performance they put into the story of the room. I want to take another trip to St Louis just to do more of the rooms

Rooms are pretty decent, had a vehicle broken into and simply asked if the cameras were working and got ridiculed for my wife leaving a purse in the vehicle. They claim the cameras dont work and dont record which is fine but why the hatefulness. If you dont care about the patrons and their security just simply say sorry we dont take your safety seriously no need to be hateful. Would not recommend! Spend your money with people who care about you. Or at least decent people.

The escape room itself is great! Dont park anywhere near the vicinity and expect any help when your car gets broken too. No working cameras on the outside of the building. They dont care if your car gets broken into they offer no help. Theyll refer you back to dont leave valuables in the car. Please bring them to lockers that youre supposed to trust . If traveling, please bring in everything from your car and use multiple lockers to lock everything up is what theyre asking you to do. I had a heavily...
tinted vehicle. Nothing in plain sight and they managed to break into my My vehicle by busting out a window and managed to find my hidden purse that I did leave in car . Granted I parked where they recommended we park on their website. You should Uber to this facility and stay inside the facility until your Uber arrives. In my opinion Not a safe neighborhood at all! I am not really sure where its coming across is this is a fake spam? Two other people who were with me have also left their reviews. As we have said all of us agreed. The escape room was a great time. The vicinity and the response we received afterwards were not. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. We have given ours. Nothing is fake here!

Visited on 4-20-2024 and the escape room was great. However, the family we were with their vehicle got broken into while we were inside. The staff offered us no assistance, the manager is very rude and unprofessional when emailing, and no one checked on us. They state they add additional postings during the haunted house season to not leave any valuables in your vehicle and to use their lockers but when booking nothing was said to us nor was sent to us to do that for the escape room. If you visit here make sure to Uber to the facility or take the chance. Not a safe location!!!!

10/10 absolute best break out rooms I ve ever done - and I ve done many. It was beyond the most immersive and impressive experience, and would travel back to St. Louis just to go here again. Also really cool place to hang in general.

10/10 recommend. First ever escape room. Took our chances with Frankenstein as it was the only one left open. Pretty tough but so much fun! Forgot our guides name but she was amazing and did great helping some newbies! Definitely will be back!

This venue is great all around. They have good sets and the puzzles are nice and align well with each story. The puzzles do have a tendency to be quite similar, but that can be overlooked. It gets quite busy over the weekend, so be sure to book the rooms early.
