We had a great escape room experience! The employees were passionate about their job and made the experience memorable. The location is also a haunted house for a good amount of the year creating a thrilling atmosphere. We did the dentist escape room and it was very well made with cool and well implemented puzzles! 10/10 experience

Love the Beast Tool Room game. What a unique idea. The game master made the most of the environment and we enjoyed the puzzles.

Laney was really kind, and the puzzles were cool! Id love to see the beast as a little tour someday, but I know thats not possible now!

Never, ever, for any circumstance work here. Do NOT do it. You ll go in and love your job, work really hard, build friendships and then just as you re about to hit your 90 day probationary period and be able to qualify for health insurance benefits, you ll mysteriously get let go. They ll blame it on something you did, write you a severance check, and have your replacement ready the next morning. They have a continuous cycle of turnover and will probably never have a solid team there...
because the owner and department heads (blu and Anthony) will have you removed for any tiny little thing, even if it was THEIR fault. They fired my friend for literally no reason, then fired me, then fired the girl they hired for me to train just last week. This is a culty environment so seek employment here at your own risk. Seniority trumps respect in this company at all times, fair warning.

Visited here for a Christmas experience since our group loves all things spooky. We picked The Beast Tool Room and escaped with 10 minutes to spare (and used one hint). First, it super cool getting to go to The Beast haunted house building to get to the escape rooms. It really sets the tone for the experience and we loved getting to appreciate such an old building in the day light. The younger gentleman that was working this day was great! He was very friendly, seemed to really enjoy working here...
, and did a great job explaining everything to us. The 6 of us were taken to our escape room and got our briefing. The room was a lot of fun and took some real brain power on some of the puzzles. Without any spoilers, the room was exciting, had some fun moving pieces, and we all had such a fun time. Now, all that said, this is my 7th or 8th escape room I have done. This one has some difficulty with solving certain puzzles but overall, I felt it was kind of on the easier side. I felt it needs a few more puzzles to actually solve because even though it took us 50 of the allotted 60 minutes, I dont feel like we actually solved that many puzzles. I was also hoping for maybe a little bit more of décor and stuff like that. I think some other rooms I have been to really put you into a more immersive experience. I definitely want to come back and try their hardest room(s). But overall, it was a blast and our group had a terrific time. But I think for the price we paid, I was hoping to be a little more impressed.

We did an escape room here about a month ago. Its so weird to see the place when its not Halloween season! Our game master was very friendly and we had a great time doing the room! Definitely want to come back to try the others!

We came here over the weekend to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a group of 6 with 4 first timers. It was an amazing time. Bruno met us at the stairs and was a great host! He explained everything and even took a few minutes just to chat with us. We did their newest room about the dentist, and plan to come back and do the Manhattan Project one next! Seriously, this place is great! The manager that we met at the end was super friendly as well! I definitely recommend and I cant wait to go back!!

My wife and I completed the Beast Tool Room escape room, and were quite disappointed. We have successfully completed over 100 escape rooms and this was one of the absolute worst. The hint system was poorly designed and implemented. Hints are given as riddles, were not applicable to our situation, and take away time with each hint. Finally, escaping from the last room was the most anticlimactic ending Ive experienced. It was an Oh, thats it? I guess were done. moment with no build-up. There were several locks and unopened containers remaining in the room, and it was quite a surprise to be dumped out of the room. There are plenty of other escape rooms to pick from. I would not recommend this one.

Full moon escape has some of the best rooms I ve ever done. I found out they did escape rooms when I was down in the bottoms for a first Friday weekend and I haven t done them all yet but I will say my favorite is Merlin s Chambers it s full of riddles and sorcery so it s a little spooky but an amazing room for kids and new beginners. The whole building has a spooky offset tone to it since You do have to walk through some of The Beast to get to the escape room, but it s nothing compared to their...
scary escape room Dentistry. Dr.Boyles is definitely a thriller type room with a 60 minute clock to start out with. Now if you get the chance to talk to the people who created the room you can definitely see the passion that gets put into the puzzles and the decorations to the room itself is one of a kind. And the staff is just as lovely I do hope to come back and rob a bank

For my daughter s 14th birthday she wanted to do an escape room. I found Full Moon on Google. We love all things scary so the birthday girl picked out Dr. Boyle s Dentistry. Being from the area it was super easy to find and extra points for the haunted house vibes. We re all escape room newbies and had never done anything like this and took hints when offered. We had so much fun in the first room we wanted to do a second. We decided on the Bank Heist. The rooms were awesome and Dr. Boyle s office came with some good scares. Our guide was amazing as well. We look forward to doing more escape rooms in the future and definitely recommend Full Moon.

Our family has escaped from two rooms at Full Moon Escape over the last three months. We had a fun experience both times. The staff is most helpful and very pleasant. We definitely plan to return and experience all the rooms.

Im normally not a reviewer, but my family and I are getting more into escape rooms. We ve been to three of them so far. One in Florida and two in KC. The two stars are for the staff, extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were mediocre and really I we got bored pretty easily. We went to The Basement escape room and had an incredible time, so we were hoping for the same kind of experience. We were sorely mistaken. It s definitely something to do if you have younger kids like 7-10 year olds...
, but we had 4 adults and two teenagers and it was severely dissatisfying. There weren t many puzzles and things to solve. The few things we did solve were okay. I just expected a lot more interaction and for it to be more intriguing but it was boring.

We enjoyed doing The Ghost of Merlin escape room. It was a fun date night activity for my husband and me, and Christian was a great host. We escaped with a little time to spare and are already looking forward to coming back to try another one!

The Bank Heist was so much fun! We went with 3 of our adult children, solved it with 13 minutes to spare. We have been to several escape rooms in the past but this was the best venue we have been to.

So you think that removing 5 minutes of available playing time whenever we ask for help is unique? Yes it is! No other escape rooms punish you by reducing the time you get to play. We didnt care about our score or setting a record, but only giving us 45 minutes to play instead of 60 minutes if we asked for 3 hints is a ripoff. Add on the gamemaster giving us bad advice on a puzzle that wasnt working, so it ate up 10 minutes off the clock, and then the final room where even our most physically...
able teammate had trouble crawling through the opening to get to the puzzles, with no option for an alternative way to get in for the members who could not crawl. It doesnt matter how cool the décor is or how clever the puzzles are if you are punishing a team who is struggling to solve a clue, or who cant physically get through an obstacle to see the entire game.

I expected a lot from this Haunted House turned Escape Room in the off season, but I was sorely disappointed. First was the climb up four flights of stairs...and the room we did looked like they had taken an old Mechanicals Room and added locks and chicken wire to equipment that had been left behind. That, in and of itself wouldnt have been an issue except MANY of the locks were there to keep us from accessing mechanical equipment that was used to still service the building, so like it really was the Mechanicals Room for the space. I also find it funny that they are asking for a review almost a year after I visited the room.

Oh my gosh I cannot recommend this place more! Me and my family went for our first time and did the dentist escape room. The atmosphere and puzzles are so unique and make you feel great when solved. The employees are very informative and very kind and helpful. Definitely worth your time :)

We were a few minutes late to our scheduled time due to traffic, so I understand urgency, but our experience being greeted was horrible. Upon entrance, we had asked to use the restroom and the employee denied us access to the closest restroom. She told us we would have to walk all the way upstairs to use the restroom closest to the room we were using since we were late. She was rude and pushy the entire time we were there. The introduction and explanation of our escape room was so fast, not a single...
one of us could comprehend what she was saying. The way this employee was speaking so fast and unclear made it obvious to everyone in our group that she was irritated with us and no one felt comfortable to ask any questions about our game. It was obvious she cared more about getting us in and out of the building more than us having a fun experience. The experience during the actual puzzle was worse than the greeting. We specifically chose the most difficult puzzle because we wanted a challenge, but didnt realize we would be walked through the whole thing. Every few minutes, it felt like we were being scolded over the intercom. I understand if were touching something we shouldnt be touching, but a lot of the times we were scolded because we were doing something that wasnt essential to solving the puzzle. For example, a member of our party had gotten on the floor to look underneath the furniture to see if something might have been written underneath. This person wasnt breaking, hurting, or even touching anything but we were still warned not to do that. It felt like we were being babysat the entire time and if we did anything that didnt strictly help solve the puzzle, we were scolded for it. You dont need to do that, ignore this, ignore that. Theres nothing in there, you dont have to look in that area. The point of an escape room is to be left alone so you can solve a puzzle as a team. Again, I understand being scolded if were doing something destructive or harming the set... I can recall one instance where someone touched something they werent supposed to. But in this case, it was mostly harmless investigation. The whole experience was awful. When it was over, they rushed us out the door and sent us on our way. It was so unwelcoming. I left feeling so upset and did not get the experience I paid almost $250 for. We definitely will not ever be returning here, there are a lot of other escape rooms in KC with employees that know how to make the experience fun without belittling guests or being controlling of the entire game. Save your money.

This was actually really fun. We did the psycho dentist room and it was actually really scary. We loved it!!!! Being in a place of kc haunted history made it even better. The best escape room Ive ever done

We did the newest room, The Manhattan Project. AWESOME! By far one of the harder ones we ve done, but we made it out. We ll be back for another for sure! We just went again 12/10/22 and had another great time! Escaped from the tool room! Looking forward to more in the future!!!

Had an amazing time here! The puzzles are intricate and very interactive. We tried two rooms, Ghost of Merlin and Dr. Boyles Twisted Dentistry. Each were well thought out and challenging in their own way. The Dentistry does offer some jump scares but, given this is in a haunted house, we expected that going in. It added another level of intensity but was still entertaining. Ghost of Merlin was quite easier and the kids (13 & 16) seemed to follow the clues a little quicker. Love the details in each...
the room and appreciate how much thought is put into the puzzles. We are still talking about certain actions that are produced when solving a puzzle. The staff is amazing! So informative and you can tell they take pride in their rooms (and the haunted house). Definitely our favorite escape room in KC. We will be back to try out the remaining rooms and the one currently being designed.

My 13 year old daughter and her 2 friends got out of The Ghost of Merlin room in 53 minutes, without asking for any clues. It was the best escape room weve ever been to, so many doors to other rooms with more clues to open more doors to more rooms, very unique experience and the staff was super helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend for all ages!

Amazing escape room. So well done!!!! Puzzles are unique and fun. The Merlin room was so much fun we ended up doing the dentistry the same day. People were so nice and enthusiastic about the work they put into their rooms. Such an amazing experience. Leagues better than any other escape room Ive done so far (including breakout). I cant rave enough about this place!!!

Amazing old John deer building with unique decor on every floor that sets the tone for escape rooms. We choose to do the Dr.Boils Dentistry that had great twist and turns of excitement paired with great difficulty. My party of three was a great amount of people but you could also bring more! I highly recommend completely any of these escape rooms, 100% worth it. Staff was amazing and told great stories about escape rooms and surrounding haunted houses in the area. Definitely will be back at our next visit to KC!

What a cool place to go for an escape room - the historic building (home to The Beast haunted house) is filled with authenticity, character and mystery. Venturing through the maze of uniquely decorated rooms to get to our escape room set the mood for our experience. Clever puzzles, plenty of red herrings, sound effects, hydraulics, secret surprising doors and loads of industrial ambiance created plenty of challenge and an underlying current of drama, exactly the kind you want in an escape room!

We have done just about every escape room in the KC area (yes, we are addicts). The escape rooms at the Beast are really the best. So much atmosphere and immersion and fun. They truly are masters at designing rooms. We have done Merlin and the Manhattan Project so far. Loved them. Highly recommend both. The staff is really great and the rooms are challenging and fun. The only thing I dont like is the deduction of 5 minutes of your time for a clue. What I do love is that they dont go ahead and walk you through the solve if you dont escape. With the limited number of rooms we have in KC, if I dont solve one, I want to go back and try again. We are excited about the new rooms they are currently building and will definitely be back!

Love escape rooms and this place doesnt disappoint. Varying difficulty levels with the rooms and being inside The Beast Haunted House gives a little spookiness! Will keep returning to do every room!

We booked The Ghost of Merlin for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. This was everyones first escape room except mine, and it was so much fun! We all had a blast with the puzzles and surprises along the way. The room itself was an actual room for the haunted house so it was decorated really cool, and thankfully had no creepy crawlies jumping out at you! We plan to try the other rooms soon. Definitely recommend this escape room to anyone!
