Breakout KC Escape Room | River Market Kansas City

I loved this escape room! The staff were great, especially our guide, Ellen. We did The Hero Protect The People room. LOVED. Sorta reminded me of the show, Fallout. Highly recommend

We do escape rooms in pretty much every city we visit. This was our first time doing one in Kansas City. After doing one experience, we received a discount if we wanted to try it again without an expiration date. So a few days later we came back. That actually should tell you something. Side note- make sure you go around the side as we tried to go in the front of the building and that its not where you enter. We parked on the street but there generally is parking in the parking lot.

Kathy was a great guide for our room yesterday! We had a mix of experience levels and the new folks definitely had as much fun as the seasoned participants. Well done!

Just beat the Gambler Room with my sister and brother in law! It was so much fun and a great way to celebrate their anniversary! Jules was on it with the clues! Love this place and every room weve done!

Dear Diary - Visiting friends in the area and wanting to continue our tradition of conquering escape rooms together, we decided to go here. We decided to try and completed The Gambler room. The design, layout, and puzzles were done very well. Our game master, Ollie, helped us when a portion of the puzzle had a missing piece and was able to assist without ruining the solving of the puzzle. He was helpful and patient with our questions before the start of our escape. I would definitely like to visit the area again to try their new expansion of the newly occupied space that has yet to be revealed.

Dont miss this hole in the wall! Next corporate or school outing? Thats an unequivocal yes! Each room is crafted with care that continually surprised us. Each time we thought we were close, we were dead wrong and were blown away with the next step. Bring your family, coworkers, friends, and anyone else who doesnt mind being locked in a room with you for an hour. (You arent really locked in). The suspense was real and we finished with just 18 seconds left. Difficulty was perfect. This is a great way to spend an hour.

Weve done a couple rooms in the past and always have a good time. Today, however, it was by far the most fun weve had. Lesley was our guide and she did an amazing job of helping us. She made the experience so enjoyable. Nothing is worse than not knowing when to use a clue. We asked Lesley ahead of time to nudge us along if she saw us spinning. She did a perfect job of making sure we moved along without missing the opportunity to solve the puzzles ourselves. We definitely recommend Breakout KC!

We loved the pathways to secret rooms! Great game design! We had 3 kids ranging in age from teen to 9yrs and they all helped in some meaningful way. Willow suggested clues at the perfect times sometimes we get so focused that we forget to ask for them. This is our kids favorite eascape room to date. Thanks, Breakout KC, for a great experience!

As someone experienced with escape rooms, I can honestly say this was one of the best locations and rooms I ve participated in! My family and I were amazed by the different rooms within one and had an absolute blast making our way out. Not to mention the company s employee, Willow, helped us tremendously and was nothing less than kind. I would definitely try this place out, specifically Patient 57 room if still around.

This was my first escape room and it was an awesome experience! A few of us had some prior experience but not much, so the difficulty was perfect. We escaped with 28 seconds to spare! We had a big surprise halfway through that really made it even better than expected. Our Game Guide was Tuesday, and she was a great host and even stopped our time when there was a problem with one of the items. She was a lot of fun and very helpful. We will definitely return for another room when we come back to this area. Would recommend anyone to come and have a great time!

I took my husband for a surprise. We ended up at the wrong location (my fault). Leslie was such a big help. She called the other location and got us all sorted out to just do a room at this location. Leslie was also our game guide and she was SUPER helpful. Many times she nudged us in the right direction without being overbearing. Overall she made sure we had a good time. It was a great experience in Room 213!

My husband and I had a great time with their advanced room. Great puzzles, not too hard, not too easy. Lesley was a great host and gave us the perfect hint when we got stuck! This is a well run escape room with very friendly hosts!

I went with a group of friends and we ended up doing 2 rooms not just one. It was so so fun and our guide Quynn was amazing! She made the experience so much better and fun! We will definitely be come back and will request her!

This was our first time doing an escape room! We had so much fun doing the Szechuan Secret room! I planned this for a Bachelorette party activity and Mikayla did an awesome job as our guide. 10/10, definitely recommend and will do another room here :)

We had an awesome time at Breakout KC. Our Game Guide made us feel welcome and threw us clues when we needed it. Room 213 had fun challenges and there was more than meets the eye to that room. We will be back to try another escape room.

My fiancé and I had a great time during our escape room. Willow was super helpful and very lively to deal with. He made our experience so much fun! Cannot recommend this place enough!

We were in town visiting our brother and last minute decided to try a break out room. We had so much time and finished Room 213 in 52:11. Willow was amazing at explaining the game and was so fast with our hints. 10/10 would Break out again.

My boyfriend and I have always loved Breakout KCs rooms, we have completed 2 rooms at the Leawood location and this was the first time visiting the KC location! I brought my sister along this time also. We beat the Patient 57 room with about 40 seconds to spare, a super fun and a very challenging room which made it even better. Willow was our game master, he was very helpful with our clues and had fun explaining the rules before our room started! Would definitely recommend visiting if youre looking for some immersive fun with friends or family!

We had an amazing first time Breakout experience with Kathy as our game guide! She has amazing had great energy and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

We took a big group of students for a special event and reserved 4 rooms. The Breakout team was AMAZING with accommodating us--even when our schedules changed--and were so patient and kind with our teenagers. Our game guides, Val, Emily, Ellen, and Jack, made the event so fun for our kiddos, and Cole, the manager, was super patient and kind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
