We did the witch room, which had some pretty exceptional puzzles, audio, and hint system. It definitely wasnt easy (we barely got out), but it was well produced and fun for everyone that came!. EDIT: Came back for the final two rooms. Exceptional as always, and Veronica was an outstanding host.

We had an amazing time in the Lost Book of Spells escape room. We did not escape in time, but we were very close and finished only 1 minute and 20 after the allotted time.... with four hints. The rooms were challenging, but we still made it to the final room. Would love to go back to attempt the other rooms this location has to offer.

We had an absolute blast here! There were just two of us (both in our early 30s) and weve done several room escape challenges before. We found the experience here was one of the best. The Lost Book of Spells had impressive room design/sets (totally creepy). The puzzles were challenging but solvable and the staff was great. Highly recommend, adults will love it too.

Ive done about 20 different escape rooms in Chicago and other cities, and Time vs Team Chicagos Lost Book of Spells is one of my favorites! The room was BEAUTIFULLY decorated and there were a bunch of puzzles and mechanisms I hadnt seen before. We had great time and had tons of fun. The puzzles themselves werent very difficult, but they were varied and utilized different skill sets - something we definitely look for in escape rooms. The most challenging part was finding everything we needed to solve...
the puzzles! I got a Groupon for a group of 8. It was the best deal but might have been too many. I typically do escape rooms with 5 others, but 8 was just about the max Id recommend for the Lost Book of Spells room. Im not sure they allow more people, anyway. It probably would have been better with 6 people, but the 8 of us got out in 35 minutes! We will definitely be returning for the other room, as well as a new room they will open in a few months. One con about the room: As another reviewer pointed out, there was no timer in any of the rooms. We didnt check for time at all so had no idea how long we were in there for or how much time was left. It wasnt a big deal, but every other room Ive been in had a digital clock counting down the time.

My friends and I had a memorable experience at the Book of Spells escape room. Myself and one other friend had done other escape rooms but the other 4 friends had no idea what to expect. The owner of Team vs. Time was very enthusiastic in explaining the rules and has provided a world class escape room experience. The rooms were a truly unique where all your senses were needed to escape. My team used our power of being loud and logically to find the book of spells! Highly recommend grabbing a group and giving any of the escape rooms at Team vs Time a try. We are looking forward to coming back and trying the Save the Queen room.

I completed The Book Of Spells with my three teenagers and their dad and we had an amazing evening. I could easily say this was the most fun we all had out together in a long time! Everyone got involved and played a part in solving the puzzles. We will be going back for more adventures and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something new to do!

Was really happy with the escape room experience, went through the rules quickly and efficiently, the puzzles gave everyone in our team a chance to contribute and they had a few cool features I havnt seen used in any other escape room, so I cant wait to try the other rooms available! Very happy to spend my birthday there.

Awesome experience! I wont give away any details about the room but we played Lost Book of Spells and it was awesome! We took a team of 3 and it was just the right amount (we thought). The staff were very kind in explaining everything as this was our first escape room! They were also great with the timing of the hints and making sure we didnt get too stuck. We finished the challenge with 5 minutes to spare! Will definitely be back to check out the other room in the future!

We went last night and experienced 2 rooms. Both were decked out from floor to ceiling with clues and props fitting of the time periods. The puzzles were challenging but not discouraging at all. If anything the harder they were the more fun we had! Save the Queen was excellent! I cant get over the amount of detail and time that has gone into making these rooms. Well certainly be back with new friends!

My boyfriend and I did the Save the Queen room and it was a great experience! Super immersive puzzles with unexpected twists throughout the room. Was one of the hardest rooms we have ever done, and the challenge was fun! Staff was very engaging and friendly. Would have liked a count down click inside the room but appreciated the rational behind leaving it out. Would recommend!

Lost Book of Spells was quite challenging but lots of fun! The atmosphere was fantastic, with dim lighting, eerie sounds. Multiple rooms which I always find more exciting. We were so close at the end, they let us run a couple minutes over to finish which was super nice! The rooms are smaller than weve been to before. We had 7 adults, Id recommend 6 or less due to room size. Be aware, it is on the 2nd floor, so may be tough to access for someone who had difficulty with stairs. I did not ask if they had an elevator. We cant wait to go back for their other rooms!

So far we have only done the save the queen room, and it was by far the best set design my lady and I have ever experienced. The puzzles were all unique and challenging, without confusion or disorder, and the props made the room feel extremely immersive. The staff was friendly and the clue system was unique and fun. The only thing that could have helped was the time left shown in the room.

The BEST escape room in Chicago! I completed the lost book of spells with a friend and we are definitely going to play gangster s gamble. The puzzles were challenging and very unique, definitely made us think out of the box. The rooms were very realistic and made us feel like we were in an actual house of a witch. The hosts were so friendly and engaging. I highly recommend this company! Thanks guys for having us and we can t wait to play another game!

My team and I LOVED this experience. The people are super nice and friendly, the puzzles were juuuust hard enough to make us sweat a little and the ambiance of each room was EXCELLENT. Each of us are making plans to go back with other people AND again with the same group- it was THAT GOOD. Yall need to prepare yourselves for the test of wits and fun coming your way. We dont remember the guys name who worked the room but he was sweet, helpful, polite and most importantly made sure us dummies knew what was up.

This place was AWESOME!! My boyfriend and I booked a game last minute same day and they were so accommodating, kind and communicative. The rooms were amazing splitting into multiple rooms with great story lines and tough clues but perfectly enough to where we could figured it out or ask for help. One of the funnest escape rooms I ve been to with great staff and props. Thank you so so much for a great experience!

We came here as a group of 7 for my Husbands birthday last night and had such a fun time! Karolina greeted us and introduced us to the concept- she was really friendly and very helpful! The clues are PERFECT! It is all very clever and challenges all the participants to think outside the box and work as a team. I would highly recommend this escape room to people! Thank you Team VS Time for a fun evening!!!

This was my first time in an escape room and it was a very fun and challenging experience. Team Vs. Time offered a private escape room, which was perfect for a birthday celebration with family. We all (5 of us) had a wonderful time trying to work together to solve the clues and escape. The staff member assisting us was friendly and very helpful, which added to our experience. We chose Save the Queen which required logic and creativity to solve.

I have done numerous escape rooms and Team vs Time is my favorite. Ive now done all three rooms and hope they come up with a new room so I can come back. Save the Queen and Book of Spells were very challenging with a small group but when I did Gangsters Gamble with a much larger team, we escaped a little too quickly. Each time, the game masters were incredibly friendly and helpful and especially Waldo who went above and beyond to converse with us and also help us with great photo ops that were above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks!

So much fun! The room was really creatively decorated and designed, and we had a blast figuring out the clues with friends. The staff was friendly and set a great mood when we came in. We had an amazing time, and I highly recommend Team vs. Time!

Our group of 7 did the Save the Queen room and had a blast! The room is set up very clever and challenging. We asked for a few clues which were very well thought out. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back here.

We played through the Book of Spells scenario, and had an amazing time! Only two people of our group of six had done an escape room before, but everyone was still able to participate and feel like they contributed (communication is key, no pun intended). At first we were worried that six people would be cramped, but there ended up being plenty of space for everyone. The people running this at Team vs. Time were very passionate about making the experience as fun and interesting as possible, and it really showed in the quality of the rooms and puzzles. Im definitely going to go back at some point for one of their other challenges, like the upcoming Save the Queen event!

Our team of four did the Save the Queen room. It was very challenging, and we barely finished in the allotted time. The challenge was fun and the attention to detail was really nice. Lots of puzzles that required varying degrees of cleverness and nothing that felt like a cheap impossible to solve without hints situation. That being said, we wouldnt have finished in time without some hints to keep us on the right path. Would love to check out some of the other puzzles here!

We had a great time in the Gangsters Gamble room! Awesome clues and fun puzzles. Weve done a lot of escape rooms and Team vs. Time definitely had the most fun game master. He did a great job explaining the story and setting us up for a great time!

We loved this place! We took my 14-year-old daughter there for a birthday party with her friends. The girls had a wonderful time! The puzzles were intriguing and it was terrific to see the kids work together. The staff--Raquel--was informative and awesome. I would definitely recommend this as a birthday party destination for teens and adults!
