Sora and Ty are great here as the game masters! They answered all our questions pre-entering the room (without spoiling anything) and were very accommodating to our group. I always enjoy taking groups to this spot because of people like them, who want customers to be challenged and enjoy the experience. Ive done all the rooms at this point so I eagerly await if they do new rooms! Give this spot a try if youre looking for something to do as a group. Definitely worth it!

Awesome experience!! This facility features 3 different rooms. Each room is filled many mini puzzles you must solve within 1 hour. The room we experienced was pretty difficult and we were not able to solve it. Parking is directly in the front of the building. It would be possible for handicap people to participate in the rooms. Price is reasonable. Hours and times are very flexible.

The place was super fun! We did the Matsuri room and it was great! Highly recommend. The staff was super friendly! We had Aidan and he made the experience even better !

Ty was so funny and made us excited before heading into the room!! Aiden also made sure our friends in the other room had fun!! The Malfunction room was fairly challenging but fun!

I highly recommend this escape room to anyone who loves escape rooms. The escape room puzzles were wonderfully executed and Ty provided a wonderful atmosphere for us to delve into the excitement of the game. He gave us a wonderful overview of the challenges and was thoroughly enthusiastic throughout the whole process. Tys overall energy was the most fun part of the escape room and I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to have an amazing Friday night. This was a great experience. The room was challenging but we were able to prevent the war with time to spare. The Game Master Ty did a great job letting us know how the room operated and what we could ignore. The basic information made it easy for us to focus on solving the puzzles.

We recently reached out to Lock Chicago to request support for a New Moms fundraiser. They generously offered an experience package to support our organization. Their team is professional, courteous, and quick to respond. We are so grateful for their support and hope to continue a partnership with them in the future!

Really fun escape room. We did Icarus with another couple and our 10 year old kids. Adults and kids had fun and challenges were able to engage all of us. Ty was a fun game master!! Would come again soon!

We hosted our team building event here last week and the Lock Chicago team was super gracious and amazing hosts! We did their Matsuri and Icarus rooms then walked over to Central street for dinner. Love this area.

Went with a group of friends, most of us with limited experience in escape rooms. The staff were helpful in providing instructions while we asked plenty of questions. Our staff guide Aidan was kind and patient with us and we definitely took advantage of his clues to make it out with seconds to spare. Parking is limited so if you don t know the area look ahead for street parking just in case. Thanks for a fun night Aidan and team Lock Chicago!

Ty and Aidan did a great job helping us get ready for the escape room today. Shoutout to Ty for getting us hype for the malfunction escape room. I had a great time with my friends. This was definitely an out of the box experience.

Went with my brothers twice for the Malfunction and Icarus escape rooms. Read previous reviews that the set design was not the fanciest, but the puzzles did not disappoint. The escape rooms itself were set up nicely and the challenges were fun and engaging. Our hosts for Malfunction and Icarus were Aiden and Ty, respectively. Both hosts ran the escapes straight and smoothly, with both having solid greetings. For Icarus, we did come across an issue with the room but Ty was able to help quickly and get us back on track. Overall, had a great time and will definitely be coming back for Matsuri and other future rooms!

Icarus was such a great place! Ty immediately made us confortable and excited to do the room. His exposition really immersed us in the story, and his great personality made us future long time fans of Locked Chicago!

Did this escape room for my birthday. Aiden was our guide and he was AWESOME!!! He explained the rules clearly, was super nice, and made the whole experience really fun. So glad I chose this place and will definitely return!

We had SUCH a fun time here last night in the Matsuka room! Aiden walked us through the room and was so great (and patient!) with our group of 8 and we ended up escaping with 40 seconds left! This is such a unique night out in Evanston and in a large and clean space. Perfect for out-of-town guests, date night, friend get-together, team-building, etc. DO IT! You ll have a blast and maybe even end up on the wall of fame (be sure to look for us;)

My name brother Aidan was a fantastic host. Very funny and helpful. His scene-setting speech was fantastic to set the mood for the room. Looking forward to coming back

Wow! Talk about testing your mental I.Q. and coming out humbled ... that is, if you make it out! Lock Chicago was so much fun, challenging, gets you to tap into your out of the box self and into a mode to crack the code! Great for small or large groups. We loved it so much at first go that we decided to book out the entire place and host a party there of 72 people utilizing all 3 rooms in two separate sessions. Lock Chicago was so accommodating and handled everything smoothly. Nicely located around several great restaurants and bars, too, so you can relax your mind when you are done with your mental marathon! Love this place!
