We had an absolutely fantastic time at The Escape Effect in Orlando! If youre looking for an unforgettable family activity in Orlando, I highly recommend The Escape Effect. Its the best escape room weve ever experienced, and weve tried quite a few. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Well definitely be back to try their other escape rooms. Dont miss out on this top-notch escape room experience in Orlando!

This was my first ever escape room experience and I cant wait to do my next one! Our puzzle was pretty in-depth and took a lot of thinking but the staff was extremely helpful and allowed for unlimited hints. This puzzle was 90 minutes long and we were able to escape just in time.

It s was a wonderful experience. We choose the one with Sherlock homes theme which was 75 mins. Since this was first time for most of us in escape room it took us a while to speed up but once you get hang of it, it was definitely so much fun. Their puzzles aren t very easy either. They do provide difficulty levels as well. You can definitely give it a try once. People were very friendly and giving hints whenever needed. So overall it was great experience.

Had my first escape room experience. It was fun and draining at the same time as you have to find clues under time pressure. We managed to solve the Sherlock mystery just 2 minutes before the time ends. I would recommend this place.

For a first experience of an escape room, this was badass. It was very much well thought out and creative. They have about 4 or 5 different themes for escape rooms, all with different missions and decorations. We did the pitch black Fright at Night one, we had so much fun, we will go back to try the other ones. If you get the chance, we highly recommend!

We had a blast - Party of 6 for 90 minutes solving the Fright before your eyes game with less than a minute remaining. Pretty challenging. Place was very clean and the staff was fantastic.

Really fun games and intricate puzzles. The staff seemed easily overwhelmed which leads me to think that they may be understaffed when all rooms are being used and moving forward in tandem.

We had a great time at the Escape Effect. The rooms were meticulously crafted and a lot of fun. All rooms are private which is the only way to go. I wish we would have had time for the last room.

Knight to Escape is a fun and challenging escape room experience that puts 2 teams starting in the dungeon and courtyard up against a 2 hour clock to escape. The room is very well-done with great thematically appropriate puzzles, and the game is heavily cooperative, requiring nearly constant communication between the two groups. The only major immersion breaker is the omniscient clue system with multiple game masters providing clues, seemingly based on whoever is available.

Me and my husband have done almost 300 escape rooms together so we have a lot to compare to. We love The Escape Effect. We did all 4 rooms with our 15 and 11 year old and they were able to participate and feel like part of the game. The Knight room was incredible. You definitely need a large team to get through this since you are separated in two teams for almost the entire game. The Fright room was really cool...we arent fans of technology/non-linear rooms but this was a lot of fun and super unique...
. If they ever create a new room, we will definitely be back. Also, shout out to the staff that gave us some stickers for the rooms we did last year since the stickers were new and we didnt have them. Make sure you go earlier in the day if you are with children, after long days in the park, its hard for them to stay engaged and active. This picture isnt staged and she actually fell asleep about 10 minutes into the game.

We just got finished with the at odds with the gods escape room and I must say that my group of 10 had an amazing time. The variety and number of puzzles gave everyone in the group plenty of opportunities to contribute to the overall success of the room. The theming was really well done and the puzzles were very unique. The whole group is very much looking forward to experiencing another room from this location! Thank you for the great work!!

We completed the Knight to Remember room and had an amazing time. We ve done more than 20 escape rooms and this was by far our favorite one. The puzzles weren t far-fetched which is my most common criticism of other rooms but they do make you think. Because the party is split into different rooms, you have to communicate with others which is really neat since talking out loud about the puzzles helps to solve them and makes the experience more enjoyable since everyone is engaged. The game design is extremely well done.

We decided to try this place out as an addition to our day out. We were definitely pleasantly surprised at how great and clean the room was. We did the Sherlock one. You have over an hour to complete this room. There is not a dull moment to be had that is for sure. We completed it with only seconds left. They also have unlimited clues. There were only 2 of us and we had a blast. Definitely going to try the other rooms.

We did At Odds with the Gods, and it was amazing! So well themed/propped, fun puzzles that definitely challenged us, and our game master Julia was so encouraging! Will definitely be back to check out the other rooms, probably with friends!

Exorbitantly expensive even with coupon for what you get. The theming was good, puzzles were fine to good, but 95% of elements were or lead to combination locks. For this price point you can get significantly higher production value and more interactive components. Our host was also good, offering a hint at the right time, being responsive and helpful, no complaints there. If the price were cut by a third, absolutely go in.

So much fun! We went with three adults, two teens, and a 12 year old, and everyone had a great time. Loved that we could all work on different things at the same time, which kept people from feeling left out. We will be back!

This is a warning to others who may be deaf/hard of hearing like myself. This is NOT the place to go. I called on a relay service to make a booking since my card was not working and got it working. The person knew I was deaf through using it and simply said we look forward to seeing you soon! Upon arriving, I was met with this is an audio based room and I asked if there is a way they can accommodate and was told no. I was told the room would be dark and there was no way to accommodate. The woman...
said the other rooms are not audio based, but this one was. Imagine my disappointment to drive 40 minutes away and arrive to be told they would not be able to accommodate for the room? I asked for a refund and she said she will need to discuss to a supervisor first. Thankfully will get the refund, but it doesn t cover the waste of time to drive over there and the emotional after-effects to realize that even in the year 2024, places like this still exist where they refuse to accommodate. 0/5 recommend. I have done many, MANY escape rooms with no issues. This is the first time I have ever experienced this with an escape room and it must be known. How very disappointing. It is not something I could ignore. ALL rooms should be able to be accommodated in some way (almost all escape rooms I have done that have audio in them also have it captioned on a tv and some even went out of their way to hand write or type a script for us to help. This place did not care at all. Again, 0/5 recommend. Pure discrimination.

I did the Sherlock Studies game. I had so much fun! The employees were very nice and helpful. My team finished the room with 16 seconds left. It was very fun and unique. I will definitely try to come back the next time Im in Orlando.

Did Fright Before Your Eyes. You get ONE blacklight to the group so if youre in a group of more than two people the game is VERY linear. I like non linear rooms and this did not play non linearly in our group of six due to only one person being able to explore with the blacklight at a time. We were also not told that we were supposed to use something twice which is unlike other escape rooms Ive done. Im used to a puzzle needing to be done once and once only. We overlooked an entire item because...
we used it already. Also, make sure to state that youll ask for hints if you dont like just having them offered or bring interrupted during the game. This is one of my least favorite escape rooms Ive done. Unfortunate, because they came highly recommended. Edit 5/27/24 - Per the response from the host, we literally asked for the lights to be dimmed rather than fully dark, as they state they could do in the online listing of the room, and they said they couldnt do that.

Rooms were well laid out and props were 1st class. The Sherlock room was a lot more than finding keys and combo locks words and numbers. The whole group had to work as detectives to figure out who dunnit! A nice change and challenge.

Had a great time here during our visit to Orlando. We did the Greek Gods one on Tuesday night 4/2/24 and the Magician one on Wednesday night 4/3/24. Both really well done and overall an extremely positive experience!

I came to The Escape Effect two days ago, and I liked it so much, I came back. I did Sherlock Studies first. Today I did At Odds With The Gods. The website says that this one is 7/10 difficulty compared to 8/10 for the first, but I would say that At Odds With The Gods was harder. They were both so much fun, and I cant decide which I like better. I would absolutely recommend this to any friend who is in Orlando. This is easily the spotlight of my trip.

We were a bunch of escape room newbies, but so glad we tried the Sherlock Studies escape room! Nicely themed rooms with nice difficulty level puzzles that were on theme. Becca our host was attentive and available if we were stuck. All and all a great experience, would try their other rooms.

The Sherlock Studies Escape Room was challenging and really fun. Gabe was great at explaining the rules of the game and gave some fun statistics after.

This is by far, one of the best escape rooms I ve ever been to. The facility was clean (even the restrooms, and the escape room was amazing. We did Fright Before Your Eyes. Every last detail, including the audio was accounted for to make the experience very sensory and fun! I loved feeling like ghost hunters on an adventure. I admit we were expecting some scares, and while there were no jump scares the creep factor was on par We managed to escape with a little help. I do wish our game host wouldn...
t have chimed in until we asked, because she would chime in when we were on the cusp of figuring things out but they were all personable and very nice. It was such a fun spooky experience!!! We cannot wait to come back and try another one. A definite MUST if you love a good mystery game.

We became immortals after defeating At Odds With The Gods. This was a really challenging game full of great puzzles. Weve played many escape rooms and this was very well done. Were looking forward to coming back and trying all of their other rooms. Yary & Jo are great game hosts, they provided subtle clues when asked, just to keep us on track and they are passionate about what they do.
