Honest one of the best rooms I have done in a while. Super thrilling. We did the room, the wood shed, read the description, and yet was fully surprised by the amount of immersiveness! We enjoy our time and fully intend on seeing what more this company has to offer. Our Game Master was fantastic, funny, and super helpful by keeping the game super immersive. We will be back! Thanks so much for a great time! we look forward to coming back!

The person on the phone did not explain how hard the jack the ripper escape room was. They should have said this is for experts. If youve never been before you wouldnt want to start out with this room. You took our money but were not up front about the skill level it would take. Be more forthcoming up front.

I love this place. The rooms are fun exciting and different. Something for everyone from horror themed to mystery themed you cant go wrong. The staff is super friendly from the check in to the game master. They let you play the room however you want with the traditional three clues to gentle nudges in the right direction.

We really enjoyed your escape room Chris. We celebrated my brother-in-laws 60th birthday and were there yesterday conducting a jewel heist. it was a great idea and our coach gave us some good hints. We definitely need to come back and try again because theres so many more rooms to choose from and we had a blast. Keep up the great work.

Great people with a great atmosphere. You walk in and do have to sign a waiver that if you stress yourself out you cant blame them lol. But once you are in the rooms (I have done 3). Each is decorated very nicely and the puzzles are wonderful to figure out. There is almost like a reward system. You solve one puzzle to be able to get a clue or help solve another puzzle to open a lock. Its not like most places where your goal is to leave the room. You are genuinely trying to solve something...
to move to the next stage or area then leave the room. Its like 2 rooms so to speak per level. The staff if very kind and you have 3 hints for help. Once finished you can have your picture taken and see how your time dis against others who have also done the rooms as well. Definitely a different way to enjoy your time and spend it with friends.

The overall experience at this escape room that I visited with my girlfriend, was extremely disappointing, far below deserving even a single star. Contrary to our usual choice of Prototype Escape Games, known for fair and engaging challenges, the escape room we tried, titled Mystery in China Town, was a regrettable choice. Upon arrival, we were informed by the game master that this particular room was allegedly the easiest, a claim proven false during the magnetic ball game, which stumped...
us and many others for a considerable time. Seeking assistance, we were led to believe that overcoming this obstacle was important to our progress, leaving us feeling frustrated and detached from the supposed enjoyment of the experience. Throughout the game, the lackluster attention from our game master emphasized even more disappointment, Instead of providing subtle clues to guide us, we were regularly told outright what to do, stripping away any sense of accomplishment or discovery. As we struggled against the clock, the absence of strategic hints further brought down our spirits. Upon the games end, there was no debriefing or acknowledgment of our efforts, leaving us bewildered and confused. To add onto the series of letdowns, the inadequate cooling in the room amplified our discomfort, adding literal sweat to our disappointments. Stuck in a small room with minimal ventilation, the absence of functional air conditioning made us grow even more in frustration. Ultimately, the financial investment of $80 for this lackluster experience created even more dissatisfaction, underscoring the value we typically find in the escapades provided by Prototype Escape Games. The difference in quality and engagement between our disappointing visit to the escape room and the standard set by our preferred venue was very depressing, reminding us to stick with the reliable experiences offered by game masters attuned to maintaining character and excitement through the storyline. Overall execution was poor. Save your money and time, and look elsewhere for a more rewarding and enjoyable adventure.

Me and my brother went in to try for his first time and he absolutely loved the Chinatown room. Our guide was Theo & he was great ! He payed attention & made sure to help when we needed it. We finished with 12 minutes left. Afterwards we had so much fun we decided to do another one. They sold us on the new Christmas Humbug room and it did not disappoint! Roger was our guide on this & he too was very attentive & entertaining. We finished that room with 6 minutes left. We had a blast & look forward to doing more rooms ! Also , the receptionist was also great ! Definitely have to give her her flowers. Thank you !

My girlfriend and I recently visited Mind Bender Escape Rooms in Jacksonville with high hopes, but our experience with the Mystery in Chinatown room left us thoroughly disappointed. Given the positive reviews we had seen, we were expecting a challenging yet enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, what we encountered was far from that. Firstly, the game master mentioned that the magnet puzzle in Mystery in Chinatown had stumped many previous players. This was somewhat reassuring since we had struggled...
with it too. However, we were baffled when we saw a response from the management on another review claiming that the puzzle was easy and that even a seven-year-old could solve it. This contradictory information felt like gaslighting, leaving us questioning the integrity of the facilitys feedback. Adding to the frustration was the game master s constant interruptions. Despite supposedly monitoring our progress via cameras, the game master kept asking us if we had completed specific clues. If you are watching, shouldnt you know what we ve completed? This not only broke our concentration but also made the experience feel disjointed and unprofessional. The lack of thematic coherence in the puzzles was another major letdown. In well-designed escape rooms, even difficult puzzles are tied to the theme and story. Here, many of the puzzles, including the infamous magnet game, felt random and unrelated to the Chinatown mystery narrative. This lack of immersion made it difficult to stay engaged and appreciate the challenge. Ultimately, we decided to walk because we only had 20 seconds left trying to figure it out , sand there was no way in that amount of time we would have completed it. The experience simply was not worth the $80 price tag. We ve participated in many escape rooms where the puzzles, no matter how difficult, made sense within the context of the story, and the game masters were both helpful and unobtrusive. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Mind Bender. Despite our negative experience, we wish the best of luck to the facility. Hopefully, they will take this feedback constructively and make necessary improvements. However, based on our experience, we cannot recommend Mind Bender Escape Rooms to others looking for a fun and coherent escape room adventure. Save your money and find a venue that offers a more cohesive and professional experience. Reviews are meant to reflect personal experiences, and its important to acknowledge and respect each customers perspective. By diminishing the previous reviewer s experience and insinuating that their difficulty with the puzzle was unfounded, you effectively made them feel foolish for sharing their honest opinion. This is not a professional way to handle feedback, and it reflects poorly on your customer service. As business owners, it s essential to accept constructive criticism gracefully and use it as an opportunity to improve. Instead of dismissing valid concerns, consider how you can enhance the experience for future participants. Dismissing or downplaying the challenges faced by your customers only undermines their trust and discourages them from providing honest feedback.

One of the best escape rooms in Jax! The staff were kind, helpful, and fun! We escaped the four kingdoms room, which had a good mix of puzzle types and is perfect for GOT fans! We will definitely be back soon! :)

Awesome time! My girlfriend and I had never done an escape room before. We went a few weeks ago, and got hooked! Bryce took care of us the first time, and was great. Roger took care of us the last three times, and was also amazing. We went with other friends a couple of those times as well. Great stuff!!!

Went to mind bender for my sisters birthday & Father s Day. I am a scardy cat, however, opted into the wood shed. I must say, gosh darnit Aaron. We all had the best time. Highly recommend doing the wood shed and asking for Aaron. Such an immersive experience. Aaron made it even more interactive LOL.

Five stars aren t enough!! My husband and I were looking for something creative to do with our teenage daughters for spring break and found yall and went for it. My 14 yr old chose The Wood Shed and it did not disappoint!!! Our game host was so helpful and so patient with us. We left on our adrenaline and laughter and my daughters labeled that as a core memory . We are already planning our next visit. Well done yall! This place is a gem!!

I ve returned to this location at least 4 times and the experiences were outstanding everytime!! The staff are incredibly nice! I had someone in my party who had a wheelchair and they were able to accommodate. They will also provide extra chairs (for certain escape rooms, since some escape rooms are smaller than others) for people who can t stand long. They also offer military discount! This place is awesome!

We have loved all of our experiences with Mindbender over the years. Today, my wife and I took our 6 year old niece to do Humbugs Christmas Caper. She had an amazing time! Roger, our game master, was such a delight and was great with our niece! He was incredibly respectful and wanted us to have a great time.

Mindbender was great!! Our helper Emily was awesome and so sweet. We liked The Four Kingdoms so much we came back and did The Wood Shed right after. We ended up having a preference for the Shed, but it s definitely not for the faint of heart and is pretty bloody. If you can get over that stuff, it s such a clever room!! We love that the rooms are also private. I recognize this may change as the pandemic subsides, but that will make us so so so sad because honestly working with other strangers is just not as much fun as being with your own group. We hope you keep them private thanks so much, mindbender!

Room was fun and puzzles were challenging. We didnt escape and were a little miffed when they didnt explain what we had missed. All of the escape rooms Ive been to before at least give you a quick run down of the unsolved puzzles. 3 stars for that reason.

We had a young lady named Cierra who was awesome. Our family of 8 both young n old members had a blast doing the humbug Christmas caper room. This was a first time doing an escape room for most of us so thank goodness for the hints when we couldnt figure the clues. Winner winner chicken dinner it was fun new family holiday tradition.

We took a field trip here with our middle school camp. We all had a blast. Only 1 of our 4 groups escaped but the campers enjoyed themselves and couldn t stop laughing and talking about the rooms for the rest of the day. All of the rooms seemed really well decorated and the staff was super friendly and accommodating for us. I ve only been to one other escape room and I thought the rooms at Mind Benders were more professionally created than the one other place I ve been. I d definitely go back.

I went with my boyfriend to celebrate his 25th birthday and we had a blast! We did the Four Kingdoms room, the decorations and theming made it a really immersive experience, and the variety of puzzles kept us on our toes. The staff were kind, helpful, and provided great service :) We will definitely be back to try out more rooms!

I would HIGHLY recommend checking out Mind Bender at the beaches! My sales team all got together and went as for a corporate team bonding event and we all had a blast! The staff was very friendly, which made the experience that much better. The escape rooms were challenging (SUPER FUN)- we didnt escape this time but I know we will make it out next time for sure! I will definitely be going back with my sales team, friends and family again very soon!
