The Escape Game Irvine

Great experience!! Lots of rooms to choose from and I love that it wasnt all apocalyptic like most other escape rooms are these days. Love the unlimited hints, really helps since its not as easy as some other rooms Ive been too before. Great staff , lots of fun . We are going back . Sad this is they dont have any birthday perks or discounts which is a bummer. I was very surprised.

They were wonderful. Ben, Devin, Faye, and Devo (hopefully spelling these all correctly) were incredibly kind and thoughtful. We did Prison Break and finished with an amazing 26 minutes left!! We did Special Ops and finished with a decent 16 minutes left. Then, our party of 3 decided to solo do Playground and we ran out of time with a mere one half of a puzzle remaining I had spinal surgery recently, so I couldnt do a lot of the physical puzzles that were required, so that definitely held us back...
Read full review just not having enough bodies! Strongly recommend a minimum of 4 able bodied players for Playground!! Side note: as a person with a very random, angry uterus, I sincerely appreciate their thoughtfulness of having products available in the bathroom for that! Thank you!!

We had a super fun time in the playground! Birdie was a great host. Definitely would recommend!

Very creative puzzles with unlocking mechanisms and devices. The scenes were very highly designed to the theme of the game. The technology is very good here, staff watches the games and knows exactly where you are stuck and assists you through. Everything is high end here. Puzzles arent just all searching for numbers like other escape rooms. A mix of locks and puzzles and a linear progressing game to greatly designed rooms and scenes.

Located at the stunning Spectrum Center Irvin which is a tourist site and a shopping center. Plenty of food around and deserts. At the escape Rome we chose the prison room, but it was too difficult and complicated to escape. So much fun and laughter of course. Use the hint bottom as it helps a lot

ESCAPED THE DEPTHS !!!! Probably the most entertaining thing Ive ever done on a night out. Nothing beats it. The games were spectacularly run and well designed for anyone! Took me a few days to get over the thrill. Really excited to go again sometime! I highly recommend coming in prearranged groups with less people than the maximum. For example, if a room accommodates 8 people, better to go as 4-5 max. This way, everyone can stay busy and meaningfully contribute without ever having to play as an observer for a particular set of challenges.

I absolutely love coming to this place with my teenage twin cousins! They re so smart and it s such a blast escaping out with them just in the nick of time! I love expanding my mind and using my eyes and brain to figure out the puzzles and riddles. This is a definite must go to place anytime you re at the Irvine spectrum - way better than shopping hehe

This place just gets better with every room you do. We ve now done 3 rooms and we re definitely gonna try to come back and escape all the rooms. Katie our host did such a great job at explaining us the game and didn t bug at all for clues. She was the best.

03/15/24 The Heist was a cool escape! Tori was great and gave recommendations of other escape rooms. The curation was beautiful. We escaped with 24 minutes left on the clock! Definitely coming back to do them all. 05/26/24 The Prison Break was awesome! Katie was a great game master and said that we were the BEST team to finish with 30 minutes still on the clock with no hints. Bragging rights for us!

Grace was amazing for our first game (The Heist) at the Irvine store. The Heist was really very cool. There were lasers, maps, reflections, and a push me button. Sorry about breaking the globe. I thought I put it Up safely. Sorry again. And Daniel was awesome in helping us through our second game, the super whimsical and deceptively clever Playground game. Lastly, everybody at the Irvine store was incredibly friendly and welcoming to us. Especially because we were visiting for an early birthday present. I hope to see them down at the San Diego TEG so we can return the favor.

This was an amazing experience! We played Gold Rush which was phenomenal, but what was also phenomenal was our interactions with the team. Erick was the face that greeted us up front and was super helpful and fun to talk to. Wilson, Meg, and Joe helped us through our adventure and went above and beyond to provide my team of 3 with complimentary gold rush pins. 10/10 experience, you cant go wrong with coming here!

This is my second time at the escape room in Irvine spectrum and we love the experience. First time we did the prison break 9/10 little harder but we tried, still so fun, second time we did the gold rush and we actually escaped!!!! we found the gold. Definitely fun to do with everyone you know. We ll be back to try the other ones for sure. 100% recommended for family fun.

This is a great experience for friends and family! The rooms are thought out very well and theres different difficulty levels for different people. You can get as many clues as you like, so you can challenge yourself as much or as little as you want.

I highly recommend. My husband and I came in and were able to get a same day experience. We were celebrating an anniversary and were able to do an escape room just the 2 of us. We did Prison Break and loved it. Walking in really felt like a dingy jail cell and you could see the thought and commitment put into the room. We are puzzle people and were able to do it. Had the most amazing time with Ben as our guide for Gold Rush! It was our two year anniversary and we came in to do an escape room which is one of our favorite activities and this was one of the most immersive experiences. We were giggling our way through and had some cool stuff we ve never seen in an escape room before. Ben was so freaking attentive and helped us when we needed it! Quinn up front was so amazing and initiated giving us the SWEETEST anniversary card signed by the whole team. We had such an amazing time we are doing another room in just a few mins. 2 in one day!!! That s how enjoyable this whole experience was. Thank you to The Escape Game for making our anniversary so special.

The game was absolutely awesome! A super good experience for teams or families! You have so much fun and bond at the same time! The staff is super friendly and especially our person Eric! Thanks to him we had a very fun game and enjoyed our time to the fullest!

What a great experience! Never been to an escape room before and this was way more fun than I expected. A huge part of this is the experience we got from Josh. He did a great job at setting the scene and keeping the energy of the game going. The rooms are impressively intricate and very cool. Id love to come back.

BEST ESCAPE ROOM PLACE EVER!!! My friend and I did 3 escape rooms in one day and they were all SO FUN!!! The game masters all gave really good hints when requested, not giving anything away, just excellent clues that helped you figure it out. Thanks to Bree, Devin, Jake, Wilson, Quinn, and Birdie, our wonderful game masters/people who chatted with us while we waited. Everyone was SUPER friendly and easy to get along with. Definitely recommend!!

loved it! only went with two other friends but we were able to get through the escape room in time :) staff was super friendly and the rooms were very clean and put together! a little pricey (around $46 per person) but a fun experience to have!

We did two games in one day, Heist and Playground! Both were extremely fun even though we pretty much button-mashed the hint button. We only planned on one game but loved it so much we did a second one a few hours later. Delaney and Devin were great guides too. Definitely coming back!

Erick is the best!!! He s so funny and has a great personality. I always have such a blast. I can t wait to visit more locations to try all the different rooms!! They are so well decorated and the puzzles are beyond. It s definitely challenging and so entertaining. My group liked special ops the most.

Game guide Annie had such a bubbly disposition! She was so sweet and relaxed! We loved the depths. Even playing with strangers was an amazing time, we all worked together so well!

I have to say that I had an exceptional experience at The Escape Game in Irvine! The props were realistic and the clues were spot on. It was a challenge, but happy to report we ESCAPED! I will definitely be back!

Wilson was the BEST! We got there a little early and with a party of only two he was great about guiding us to the right room for us and he was spot on! We had the greatest time and the hints were just enough to still make us think. This is a great activity to engage the brain and have lots of laughs!

We did the Heist. It was such a well thought out escape room. There was a variety of different types of puzzles that were very creative. The staff were great and they let us have as many clues as we wanted and let us take pictures in there. We had a fun time and got out with 18:33 minutes to spare using about 3 hints. I would recommend this and would come back to try the other rooms. This was a great way to spend my birthday.

We went there today for my 9 year olds birthday. The kids LOVED it!! The team that works here is incredible. Everyone is so nice and goes above and beyond to make the experience amazing. Jacob was our leader and he made a group of 9 year girls feel accomplished because they escaped :) and they added some extras to make my daughter s birthday so special. Thank you Jacob and all of you that work there. We had an incredible experience. We will be back.

This place is freaking amazing! Everyone is so sweet, genuine and passionate game guides. Mackenzie was welcoming, patient, helpful! The game we chose was The Depths. Our game guide was Tori, and she was so nice and helpful. She made sure we got the right hints when we asked and even gave custom hints! I would recommend coming here and keep a lookout for these two amazing people!

Erick was a very funny and friendly host! The playground room we did for our group of 12 was fun and challenging, and all the details were well thought of. The kindness of the staff and the amazing details and puzzles of the rooms is a huge reason we will be back!
