OMESCAPE San Jose

Fun experience for my birthday. We picked the hardest room with over half the people doing this for the first time, so the expectation was never to actually solve anything but to have fun, and we did!

Did the Kingdom of Cats escape room and loved it! Very creative and wholesome :) bonus literally saw a cat outside the escape room afterward

I LOVE escape rooms. I did not enjoy my experience here. Husband and I did the kingdom of cats here a week ago, and it was annoying. Everything was sticky and gross, the behavior of the attendants was off putting, and whenever we needed a hint, they would talk down to us, like we re kids. They specifically said not to push things in the walls, then they were like push the picture on the wall . It was just plain not fun. It wasn t that it was a challenge- sure, it was, but it was mostly just really annoying and unpleasant. Also the lighting was wayyyyy too dim to see anything. I won t be coming back to Omescape. This was supposedly their easiest , but it was too annoying. None of it felt right.

Consistently good escape room! Probably the best in South Bay, have yet to try the new Sunnyvale location. I ve done 2 rooms here (dark altar and sorcerers sanctum) and both were just the right amount of challenging and fun! Worth the price.

I ve been to Omescape in Sunnyvale before and have done 5+ escape rooms that are med-hard. This Dark Alter is HARD lol! But that s not the reason to give 3 stars. The game master we had was . Lacking. Bare enthusiasm and energy. The least likable game master I ve encountered so far even though game masters are not the main point of escape rooms, but they still help set the tone. I felt bad for the first-timer in my group to have missed such experience. Maybe it was just that one person. I m still welling to visit again and give the crew at this location another shot. Hoping it will be better next time

The staff was nice and helpful! It was fun and the room was Dark Altar which was intermediate. Lets just say we had. intermediate dreams with beginner skills But plan to go back and try more rooms. There was plenty of free parking

We love escape rooms and this one ( Pandemic Zero ) did not disappoint! Clever puzzles and physical challenges that were not easy. We loved every minute of it.

Very well done escape rooms! They were very dynamic and interesting! Tricky but solvable puzzles and intriguing stories behind the rooms. We participated in the Dark Altar room and the employees were very accommodating when we got stuck! Although we ran out of time (it took us 70 min) it was still a very good experience!

Amazing, well crafted escape rooms. We did Undercooked and Sorcerer s Sanctum which were really good.

Kind of hidden back in a industrial area this place was awesome. The staff was great and accommodating for our late arrival and kept us engaged with the story. It was a great time for a team building exercise!

My first escape room clear and wow does this place really blow my past experiences out of the water. The level of fidelity on the theming and puzzle solving was great. Everyone in my group was involved in some way just cause of how it was designed made it really fun.

It was our first escape room and we loved it! We played Pandemic Zero. We will be back to try other rooms.

Nice place with really good puzzle rooms. Couldn t solve the Pandemic Zero room in 1 hr not possible.

I have participated in 20+ escape rooms and the Kingdom of Cats was easily one of the most unique adventures Ive tried. My family and I (father and mother in law, wife, 12 year old daughter and 11 year old son) escaped with 14 minutes left. The room is considered a beginner room based on its theme and simplicity of the puzzles. As veteran escapers, my wife and I were able to enjoy helping our kids and parents get the most out of their experience without extreme time pressure. Even still, we were briefly stumped by a couple puzzles, making for a nice overall challenge. The next day I went with another group of escape room newbies to tackle Pandemic Zero. It was definitely more challenging than Cats and we even required a hint to escape.

Did the team building exercise and it was fun especially with the team challenge. Highly recommended.

So much fun! Each escape room has multiple rooms and really well done puzzles as well as the design and atmosphere of each area of the experience. Highly recommend!

I can not wait to return to Omescape! My boyfriend and I had never experienced an escape room before and it was such an amazing experience! I thought the lobby looked really nice, there were other games to play, and then they explained the game to us with a awesome video and put us in the room. We did the kingdom of cats and it was a blast! I felt like a kid again, being curious and in aw of all the surprises along the way. We escaped the room too! Cant wait to go back and try a different room.

My friends and I have done a lot of escape rooms, but this room, Dark Altar, was really disappointing. Some of the mechanisms were cool like the props opening up and things dropping, but we all agreed that some of the puzzles were not relevant to the theme and some, specifically the last one, was ridiculous. We had to ask for 3 clues for the last puzzle alone, not because it was too difficult, but because there was no clear hint, clue, or instruction on how to solve it. When we were given all 3...
Read full review clues, we were no closer to solving it. Even when the game master explained it over the walkie talkie the first two times, there was no correlation with the clues we were give to solve it. The fact that the game master had to come into the room because she couldnt clearly explain her clue verbally over the walkie talkie means that there werent adequate clues to solve the last puzzle. With the escape rate being less than 35%, I can almost guarantee that this specific puzzle has something to do with it. I understand wanting to boast about having a difficult escape room, but this low escape rate feels like its due to poorly designed puzzles, not difficultly, especially because some puzzles were literally just typing one number into a keypad six times while others had you copy and paste shapes that are subjective. All in all, I think the staff should consider that their escape rates may be low because their puzzles are not offering the players sufficient information to solve them. Even when the game master explained how to solve the puzzle, we all agreed that there was no correlation with the clues we were given and the method she explained. I am sad to say we didnt enjoy our game because we felt like we didnt have what we needed to solve it.

Extremely fun puzzle solving experience! Kingdom Of Cats is the perfect level of difficulty and mysterious setting for kids/family. The staff was friendly and helpful :)

A group of 5 of us did the Pandemic Zero room and would highly recommend! I love it when escape rooms are immersive and transport you to the scenario. The production value, room details, and puzzles were impressive and well thought out. There was a good mix of different puzzle types (not just all combo locks like some other spots). I ve done a handful of other escape rooms and this is among the top for those reasons. Would love to come back and try more!

We had a very bad experience at this place. The room itself was fine, but the rude staff totally ruined the experience for us. The female staff who served us on 04/24 7:45pm game was very rude, very impatient and even rolled her eyes at points when we asked for explanation at the end of the game. Also, when she asked us to take a picture at the end, again she was visibly impatient and then disappeared, we had to go find her so that we could take the group photo. the staff at the sunnyvale omescape were a lot better, dont come here:(

We had so much fun! It was my first escape room and i will be back again!

Jose was very patient and friendly his energy was great. He made it a fun experience. Will be returning in the future.

Really great! The rooms were very nicely done, and you don t need to bring in any outside knowledge. The puzzles are really creative and if you get stuck you can get hints. I ve never done an escape room before, but my friends and I had a great time. There were 8 of us and there were enough puzzles that everyone had some way to contribute. We finished our room, sorcerer s sanctum, with like 8 minutes to spare, so the difficulty was right where it should be. We re all adults, but I think a group of mixed ages would enjoy this.

The game was okay for it s difficulty level. One thing to mention is that if you arrive late they wait only for 10 minutes and then they will start the timer. We had good experience. Having unlimited hints was not what I expected but overall good.
