One of the best escape rooms weve done so far!! Staff were so friendly and very welcoming right off the bat. The room is the biggest holding up to 12 people. They give unlimited hints with no penalties which was really nice! Photo taking is encouraged which was surprising as most make you lock your phones up before entering. There were so many puzzles and things to do it worked well to split into two groups to work simultaneously. We used 3 clues and it was the little hints we needed to get to the next step. So interactive and fun yet it was just challenging enough but not too hard that it was more frustrating than enjoyable. We finished with 16 minutes left and was a great experience - booked to do one at their other location in fishermans wharf tomorrow!! Highly recommend and we plan to eventually do all the rooms here!

We did the classroom one as a group of 5 and it was awesome! There were so many layers to the puzzles that gave us so much satisfaction when we finally solved them. Ashley was our game guide and set us up for a great time. I cant wait to try the other rooms.

It was a great escape room we did the playground it was nice and easy but also challenging and the girl helped us a lot she gave us unlimited hints and she helped us when some of the golf balls got stuck. Highly recommend, very kid friendly!

Benjy was exceptional, giving us a little extra time since we were tired past 12am after a long day (our last night in San Fran, we wanted to make the most of it.) We had a great time!! The Mysterious Market escape room was really interesting and detailed, loved the twists and turns. Highly recommend and looking forward to coming back to The Escape Game company in the future for fun times : )

First time going into an escape room and this was a good choice! Staff was great and our game master Benji was extremely helpful and clear with our game. I would highly recommend this place, and how they do the pricing makes this an easy choice even if youre interested in doing a small group! Our group ended up doing SPECIAL OPS: MYSTERIOUS MARKET, but I am very interested in coming back for the PRISON BREAK room!

I ve been here a bajillion times, and I ve done a few of the rooms twice. The last time I was here for my cousins birthday, Prescilla was our host. She is AMAZING. She was very kind, helpful, quick to respond, patient, excellent communicator, hospitable, and hands down the best host I ve ever had. This woman deserves a raise!!! She helped us take some bomb diggity photos, helped me get a discount on my next visit, and when I told her the escape music creeped me out, she put on spa music! Any group that has Prescilla as a host is incredibly lucky, and she s definitely an employee that adds value to the company. Again, she deserves a raise. She makes me want to return to the escape game. I hope y all have as much fun as I did.

We ve done 3 of the 5 games here within about 5 weeks because every game is so much fun! The staff are all great! Devin and Julius helped us out this last time and they were just top notch accommodating and welcoming. We ll definitely be back before too long to attempt to escape the last 2 rooms!

We played the Playground room this past weekend with an 11 person group and it was phenomenal! We all had so much fun going through all of the challenges, and it felt genuinely good when we solved the clues. We were able to work together as a team, and no one yelled at each other! I really like how The Escape Game operates. Ashley, our designated person was very nice, kind and helpful with a thorough explanation, and I really liked how you can ask for unlimited hints. This was one of my favorite escape room experiences because i felt challenged while having fun. I will definitely be back!

ABSOLUTE MUST!! I m 3 games deep with this company. Their escape rooms are so much fun!! My first time was with a group of friends, we filled the entire room (of 8) and played Prison Break. The amount of rooms, puzzles, and teamwork involved was sooo fun and super stimulating for all of us. We took advantage of their 20% off for our next game. Which was The Heist! I will say that this room get harder than Prison Break because there were at times, multiple puzzles to solve but I think it could also be a benefit to have good communication with the group you re with. Regardless, it was so much fun and the clues are so intricate and at times build off each other. We definitely left wanting to go back Which we did!! Haha We just completed our 3rd room here bringing another first timer (my Kuya - older brother in Tagalog). Joined again by my younger brother and nephew! This time it was just us 5! We did the Special Ops: Mystery Market. And it was a mystery! lol We were immersed in the Bazaar finding all the clues, figuring out how the puzzles and items fit together. From one room to the next. It was so much fun. It is such a rush to find a clue and figure out how it led us to the next one! Left this one also wanting to come back. So we got our tickets for a future visit to The Escape room with the 20% discount! Okay, shout outs!! Unfortunately I don t remember the name of our 1st guide. But our second guide, Benjy was cool! Helped us out and I almost felt like they were the room playing with us for The Heist! Haha Julias, our game guide tonight was super nice! It helps to have an enthusiastic guide on your side. And we can t forget Devin! We met him last week, he is super nice. He welcomed us back tonight when we arrived - overall great energy! He showed us a cool tracker they have that changes every time someone follows them on Instagram. He answered questions about other games, and tonight told us about other ones at the Fisherman s Wharf site that they don t have at their location. Great rooms+Great guides=Great time! Book already!

I am a courier. I see the establishment a lot. I always wanted to go there. I was delivering today. Benjy was nice enough to show me two rooms and give me a background about them. He was super nice and inviting, I will definitely bring my family there.

Successfully escaped from the gold rush room with 11 minutes to spare! This was my second escape room ever and this one me for sure was the most exciting yet. Didn t catch her last name but our guide, Kate, was super awesome and had a great sense of humor to go along with the experience!

We played three games in one night and had a blast! Super friendly staff, great game design, challenging but doable puzzles. We had four people and that was a great size for all the rooms we tried. We ll be back to try the rest!

Nicky, our game guide was fantastic!. Super welcoming and authentic as well as incredibly helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at the subtlety of the puzzles and how it took a team to make it work. This was a FANTASTIC first-time experience. It was emmersive, challenging, exhilarating, and very much worth the time and money. Highly reccomemd.

Such a fun time, definitely will be coming back to do another. Kate and Benji were our organizers and they did great! We did the Heist as a group of 5, and even rated as an 8/10 it wasn t too difficult, so only needed to use 1 hint and finished with plenty of time to spare.

I ve been to a lot of different escape rooms, but the Escape Game in downtown SF tops them all! First of all, it is clean and well maintained too. Read full review and 13 year olds in our group seemed the most competent at solving the puzzles, they were very impressive! But again, James Katherine made this whole experience the most memorable! I totally give them an A plus! And The Playground wasn t just for kids either, we were all entertained, the young and the old as well.

This is one of the best Escape Room I have ever been to! We tried the Playground, and the room was amazing and eye-catching. We only went with 2 people but was able to get out and had an enjoyable time experience. Biggest shoutout to Ashley for being an amazing and super helpful gamemaster. Absolutely recommend and would definitely come back soon!

Kate is awesome!! Funny and helpful. She explained the game before we got in and allowed us be our goofy selves. We got paired with another small group and made sure our vibes meshed. We re coming back for another room for sure!

Went twice in two days while on a trip. Our game masters, Lilian and Benji, were amazing! All of the employees were super enthusiastic and kind and the customer service was great. The rooms themselves to top tier with the theming and ambiance. If you can afford it, have an extra hour, and like puzzles, I highly recommend!

Kai helped us and they were so kind and so helpful, they definitely deserve a raise! I was so excited to finally finish (which we did with 4 seconds to spare), it was done really really well, I d highly recommend it with the art heist!

The heist was a fun room, glad we did it, not some of the puzzles had odd intuitive leaps and one of the puzzles didnt handle very well. That one should be fixed by now, they said they were having it remade. Really nice staff, and Id go back for sure.

We came from Fresno for my wife s birthday and had so much fun! Leanne and Chris (so sorry if I got names wrong) were super helpful and just overall wonderful people! The rooms were really well made and the experience was just too much fun! Came and did two rooms on our first go around and plan to come back and finish the rest to collect ALL THE PINS!! Thank you for a wonderful time and experience!

Great fun! Sonia gave us a solid introduction, the set dressing was excellent, the puzzles numerous and challenging without feeling unfair, and everything flowed. Cant wait to come back and do another one.

We already ran the heist before but because it was so unbelievably fun, we decided to run it again, and it was just as fun! The staff are so fun and interactive, I could never pick people more fun to work with. Our watcher this time was Mr. Omari, and he was extremely funny, as well as helpful and talkative! I also want to give the highest of props to the manager, Mr. Abel who formed a team that makes the most fun experiences I ve had, and the most perfect introduction to escape rooms ever!
