TL;DR: Fun but easy escape room with some technical hiccups; great for beginners but left seasoned players wanting more. Alright, darlings, let s set the record straight on our mystical adventure at Paniq Room s Wizard Trials. Picture it: four fabulous queens waltzing into the lobby, where we were greeted with refreshing drinking water and an iPad for check-in thank goodness, because our cell phones were more dead than last season s fashion trends. The lockers were a nice touch for storing our glamorous...
belongings, but since we had the room all to ourselves, we brought everything in with us. The game kicked off with an intro video, but there was another automated voice and some music trying to hog the spotlight. And get this, one of the cabinets was already unlocked either it was being generous or someone forgot to lock it! Once we got into the groove, the room was a blast. We sashayed through the puzzles and finished in just under 30 minutes without needing a hint because we re that fabulous! But to be honest, it felt easier than choosing the perfect pair of heels. For seasoned escape artists like us, it was more of a warm-up than a real challenge. To top it off, our host snapped a cute pic of us with our phones. There was a leaderboard, but it was as neglected as yesterday s news, so we had no clue how we ranked against other teams. All in all, Paniq Room s Wizard Trials was a fun time, but honey, it could use a bit more dazzle and a tougher spell to break. Three stars, with a whole lot of sparkle!

I did the wizards escape room. It was an okay escape room. In my opinion the room was less about solving puzzles and more just trying to find them. Once you found the puzzle it was rather trivial to solve it. I prefer puzzles where you have to think about them, not just find them. I think the room suffers from the designers trying too much to include the magnetic wand into all the puzzles over making them interesting.

We did the Wizard thing and it was really fun. They let us go a minute over time to finish it (and provided one very helpful hint). Great experience!

I want to thank EJ and Marcus again for a great experience. We were in town for our anniversary celebration. We decided on an escape room with an old friend and his family because they have never done one. Unfortunately, there was an event going on and parking was almost nonexistent. Marcus and EJ were beyond patient with us as half our party tried to find parking way past our start time. Additionally, when it came to the room, it was a great first time experience for my friend and his family. They...
were happily beaming about the experience the next day as they talked about the different aspects of the escape room. If we ever revisit SF, PanIQ will be on our top list of experiences to do because of Marcus and EJ and their commitment to giving a great experience.

We had arrived a little late to our reservation but the management at PanIQ Escape Room San Francisco were able to accommodate us with no problems. The Escape Room at PanIQ Escape Room San Francisco (Wizard Trials) was quite well done and had some unique puzzles but ultimately was too easy (we had finished it in only 35 minutes of the hour). That however did put us on the leaderboard for the day which was good to see. If I were to go back, I would want to try out the Escape Room at PanIQ Escape Room San Francisco called Medival Times

John was amazing and super nice and helpful! We had a great time but the Wizard room was too easy, at least for 6 people.

We did the medieval room and it was overall awesome. Sound was incorporated into the puzzle in a cool way and it was HARD (thats what we wanted, I was with some people that are really good at these things). There was one puzzle that didnt work great--we solved it correctly, but it didnt register that we had. After looking for alternate solutions for 10 minutes we asked for a hint and were told that the solution was what wed already tried several times. This made us go over the 60 minutes to solve...
the room. They gave us some extra time, but still that was a bummer. Later we were told that theyve gotten feedback about that puzzle from others and are looking into getting it fixed. One thing is that in most escape rooms the game master is watching you, so they would have been able to see and remedy this issue quickly, but with this one, when you ask for a hint, thats when the game master looks into your room, so theres no one watching unless you ask for a hint.

I had the best time! I loved that I had the opportunity to ask for a hint- and it really was one- when we got stumped. The room was so creative. Honestly, though, what put it to a full five stars was how accessible it is. I m disabled and work with a service dog and they were amazing at asking questions and offering solutions before my experience to make sure I had a fun but safe time. I felt confident and understood. The staff are amazing.

We took a group of teens, and they had so much fun! The game was just the right amount of challenging, brain-teaser, cool setting, and staff help when they got stuck (which they did). Highly recommend, and not just for the younger crew. This would make a fun double date, too. Loved it!

We did two different rooms and really enjoyed ourselves. Both had a clever series of puzzles, each room was pretty different in the nature of the challenges so that was a bonus. Staff was really nice as well. I would recommend. Also, a killer Ramen restaurant around the corner on 18th ;-)

Enjoyed the red wire escape room. Able to escape with some help with the host. The host was super nice. We came in the evening and the area was a little sketch but will go back again to try another game.

Our host was so helpful and welcoming. He knew exactly when we needed the right cajoling to find our next clue and to just stop our spinning off in wrong directions. The rooms were so exciting and well done. Everything was comfortable and clean.

We had a great experience. The employees were very friendly and helpful, including making some unconventional adjustments to the room for disability reasons. The room itself was also very intricate, fun, and my group had lots of fun. :)

Absolutely the best time ever. My partner had the request of hiding a photo of Nick Cage somewhere in the rooms that we booked, and oh man did they deliver. Not only were the rooms challenging and fun but the staff is super friendly and went above and beyond.

This was my second room at this location. I think the production value is on the low side and puzzles lack wonder and complexity. Overall we had a fun time but the other escape room venues in the city are superior

We came here for a work event and completed the Wizard Trials one. It was challenging enough and a great team building exercise!

The best customer service Ive ever had without a doubt. I booked 2 rooms online and asked for the staff to hide a picture of Nick Cage somewhere in the rooms. This is a long standing bit my partner and I have with each other when we go on trips. This staff ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED! They put multiple pictures in each room and placed them in THE BEST SPOTS! It was absolutely amazing and made this our best escape room experience ever. We love to go to new escape rooms when ever we are in a new...
city and these rooms were challenging, fun and innovative. John was our puzzle master and was perfect! After each room we talked about the places the staff put the pics and it was clear how much fun they had with the project. Anyone in the SF area check out this staff and these rooms you wont be disappointed!

I really enjoyed this location. I appreciated that you didn t have to lock up your belongings if you didn t want to and that you were free to step outside if you needed to. The staff clearly loved what they did and my nephew had a great time doing his first escape room.

My son and I have tried two rooms at this PanIQ location at SF in the past 2 days: * Medieval Madness This is listed as an expert room and they aren t kidding! Lots of hands-on puzzles in a next gen (_no_ padlocks w/keys and codes everywhere) format. Super creepy atmosphere. We failed - not advisable with just 2 ppl IMO - but enjoyed the experience anyway, and appreciated the support from game masters Andi and EJ. negs: some audio parts can be EXCESSIVELY LOUD, and I d prefer it if I didn t...
have to lay down on the floor for an extended period to view a certain clue. Some clue markings could be less subtle / easier to read - perhaps they ve faded, or just weren t strong enough to start with compared to others in the same puzzle. * Wizard Trials Also next gen, and SO MUCH DETAIL AND AMBIANCE . My son and I - experienced escapists - beat it with 2 minutes to spare and had great fun throughout. Very novel interfaces, and I m still not sure how some of the tech worked. Pretty clear puzzle language throughout, so you could tell how to approach things. We were fortunate to have Andi helping us again (and another young lady who s name I missed). Thanks PanIQ folks - we might yet be back for the remaining room soon!

We had so much fun at the new PanIQ Room unit. We played the Spy room, and cant wait to go back and try the Wizards and Medieval Rooms. Spy was very smart and action based, with full of surprises.
