January 2024: Tried the lost treasure room. We had four people total and almost completed the task. The place is very nicely decorated. The workers are very friendly. This seemed like a very well run place. I will definitely come back again to try another room.

We had our first escape room experience here, on Lost City. It was challenging, and well put together, with a team of two people. Having a private room for our team was a bonus. We had an awesome time - highly recommended!

Overall, a fun game! My group and I did Mansion Murder, which is one of the harder rooms. We had a lot of fun figuring out the puzzles, but unfortunately, one puzzle got jammed. We wasted around 2 minutes figuring that out because we thought we didnt complete the puzzle, but eventually the game master came in and fixed it. The employees were very nice, and the lobby had nice decorations!

The room is nice and staff was cool as well, but we had a bad experience because no one was watching our game. So when we asked for the clue if didnt show up and then they had to go inside the room and ask where are we at and totally ruin the mood of the whole thing. They say sorry and gave us 5 minutes more, but then after that When we asked for another, they gave clues from what we have already solved!

Cool decor and escape room themes. I went to try antidote with a friend and got stuck on the first step for 30 minutes, not cause we didnt know what to do but we didnt know how to use a lock haha. Overall it was easy though if we knew how to use the lock Im sure that we couldve done it

Some of the best decor weve seen in any escape room. The rooms are all very difficult though and the assistance they provide could be better (my partner and I have done ~10 escape rooms before this and were still lost at times)

We aced the antedote room with only 3 people just in time. Great service and room design. You get unlimited hints during the game.

This was one of the coolest Escape rooms Ive been to! Its right near fishermans wharf and North beach. I was here a while ago and theyve added more rooms recently that have some of the best escape room theming. It was a fun double date night activity with friends. The staff was extremely friendly and our game guide gave us hints when we needed them and we loved getting our team photo at the end too.

The staff is so kind and helped us out with some Groupon issues. The room was difficult but they gave us a few extra minutes so finish the room. Such a great experience.

7 deadly sins was fun but also very challenging. Our game host Anthony was great and made it a good experience.

SO and I did the Lost City and we really liked it. The puzzles were well put together, nothing was really time consuming for the sake of it as a lot of rooms like to do. The decorations were on point! Staff was super friendly and funny, all around it was a great experience and we will be back for more.

I love Escapology! The puzzles are great and the rooms are private (not sharing with others). We are experienced players. We did The Lost City, Mansion Murder, and The Lost City and were not disappointed at all. The Lost City was our favorite and we solved it with two people. Three of us tried Mansion Murder but were unsuccessful. It was complex - solvable but probably best if we had one or two more people. Antidote was an easier one but we still had fun! This should be the one to start...
out with if youre new or want something that doesnt make you scratch your head too much. The Lost City and Antidote were my favorites. Parking is abundant in the area. Expect to pay $4-5 if before 6pm. Cant do anything about that though. The lobby is nice! Its one of the best, and Ive been to over 10 different escape rooms.

Edit Dec 2023 - updating review after returning for a couple more rooms and having a really nice experience. . The staff here is really great helpful and accommodating. Shoutout to Madeleine and the rest of the team for being so conscientious. Murder Mansion is a really well-done room. Antidote is pretty fun but might be a bit simple for enthusiasts. We will be back to try 7 Deadly Sins! Previous review: We did Narcos, and our experience was only ok. The place is beautiful and the room was well...
done, but there were multiple elements of the room that weren t set correctly or were actually broken, meaning the game master needed to come in and fix things. It was hard to keep our flow going because things were clearly out of order or not working. We spent a really long time staring at a puzzle and getting nowhere, only to find out after that it didn t matter (as that section of the room was broken.) Generally a game master will let you know to skip something if it can t be in play due to technical issues. We escaped but left feeling a bit like we d wasted our money. We got an email afterwards saying we didn t escape but we definitely did within the time allotted, even with broken puzzles and misplaced pieces. I d be willing to come back and try another room as maybe this one was just an off night. It was still fun!

What a great experience while visiting the city! We met some friends there and it was so much fun! We did the antidote room and it was great for the first-timers in our group. The puzzles were interesting and challenging (with some great hints from the staff!) and the decor was really cool. It s a great option if you re looking for something fun and unique in the city!

Went here a few months ago while my mom was visiting SF. It was her first time doing an escape room and we loved it! Super friendly (and cute) staff that help you every step of the way. The rooms are very well put together, and the lobby has a fun and fitting vibe to it! Plus they have a cute wall for pictures! Overall a really fun time and an ideal stop in the city for families and friends!!

As someone who has been to many escape rooms (10+). This place easily gets on my top 3 of best escape rooms I have been to. I went with my group of 3 and were shocked on how affordable is. Roughly 105$ for 3 people including taxes and fees. Escape rooms where I live by cost $40 and the quality is mediocre. Speaking about quality. We did the Narcos room and we were in awe on the quality of the room. My group and I had so much fun with the very unique puzzles in the room. Will be coming back next month for a new escape room they will be releasing!

I ll start by saying that I ve been to more than 50 escape rooms. This is by far THE BEST escape rooms I ve ever been in!! Not only that the puzzles are smart and the rooms are amazing, the price is really fair in comparison to other escape rooms in the US. Can t wait for the new one to be open! Thank you for the experience!!

My favorite escape room in the city. Everything from vibe in the space (cool decor, comfy seating) to the staff (friendly, professional and helpful) is on point. Not to mention they ve got rooms for every type of group-newbies to experts. I ll definitely be going back.

I must first say that the staff are really nice and the puzzles themselves are fun. (Caution: judgemental stuff below from someone with a lot of escape room experience) To me the production value is lower compared to the other escape rooms Ive been to (Ive been to 20+). Im used to escape rooms that are designed and constructed in a way that make you feel like you are in a different world and really immerse in the story. For example, all the walls, floors and ceilings are sculpted, painted, aged...
, and fake walls opening, breaking, small entry way that makes you crawl through, rooms that looked like outside or looked like the inside of a Pyramid etc, and sometimes with live actors. Escapologys room that I went to looks more like a small office space with stuff in it, with white walls and office doors with minimal decorations. The whole time I was solving the puzzles, I didnt feel an urgency to escape and I wouldnt mind to just let the clock run out because I didnt feel as immersed in the story. I would recommend going to other escape room establishments as well if Escapology is your first.

Awesome time! Rooms were very well done, high quality, friendly staff, best part was the difficulty level felt spot on! Little bit of experience with escape rooms personally and it felt spot on with everything I was looking for

Staff was so incredible. The were accommodating and you can tell they just really love the games and providing a great and fun environment. We were VERY happy and the games were amazing too. We recommend this place over all the others out there. A+ yall. Thank you again.

Did not have a great time. First we were chill about the computer glitching out. Things happen with technology that they can t control. Unfortunately it ruined the feel of an escape room and the staff tried to fix it while we started. They said they would give us more time but then once she walked out the room. The 60 minutes became 40. So we started rushing for puzzles and we got stuck on one so we asked for a hint. And spend 20 minutes giving us the hint of the wrong puzzle we worked on. At this...
point my gf is mad because the experience was furthered ruined and didn t want to try and play anymore. We walked out before our time was up. We were so mad and disappointed we just walked out. We will never come back here due to this experience. It felt like we were just doing puzzles in an office. It was boring compared to the entryway.

Amazing escape room experience! Great location, friendly staff, and wonderfully challenging escape rooms. I went through antidote and Narco and both were challenging, though Narco was definitely harder. Will absolutely be back soon!

Narco was a lot of fun with some interesting puzzles. Room was hard but not too difficult. Good value for the amount of content, more-so if you manage to find a discount code.

This place rules. Have done both of the rooms they have open, and was pumped on both of em. I have done plenty of other escape rooms and this place definitely was worth it. The staff were so rad.
