The Unlockables Escape Rooms (San Diego Location)

We had an absolute blast! We did The Escape and they added a special touch for my birthday and it was fantastic! We made it out with 11 minutes to spare.

We did two rooms for my sisters Bachelorette party. Both were really fun with good stories with a strong, well thought out progression. The puzzles were clever and the crew is very amiable and accommodating. 100% would recommend.

My first ever escape room I had done was here at Unlockables, and two years later, I came back to try for my tenth, this time with Sisters Secret. First, walking into the waiting room was a surprise. Read full review prep room, we were shown a short video and informed on the guidelines. From there we entered the room. Without giving away any spoilers, the room is fantastic. From the decorations to the theming, you are fully immersed in this Paranormal adventure from the moment you walk up to the room. Once inside everything goes up to another level. Our group was mixed experience wise (two players had never tried a room before, and myself and two friends have an average of nine rooms attempted and escaped) and all puzzles were easily understandable and accomplished. The one clue we used was to double check the an answer on a puzzle toward the beginning. The host was extremely helpful and pushed us toward the right direction. We had a blast and will be sure to come back to finish the other rooms they have opened up. Highly recommended!

Great escape rooms. Id recommend going with a medium amount of people depending on the room. Ive done two here, one being 8/8 and one being 4/8. A good middle is 5-6/8 at least for the two Ive done

The Escape is a great escape room. It has multiple rooms and tons of challenging puzzles. Very well themed and the workers are great. Will be back to try the other rooms.

It was my first time doing an escape room and it was great! I had my wife and a few friends with me and there was plenty to do. There were a lot of surprises and a lot of thought was put into the timing and special effects. We managed to solve it with 46 seconds to spare

Ive done about ten escape rooms at different locations before and this one is my favorite so far. Me and 3 friends completed the two sisters puzzle. It had a really good mix of puzzles to solve, special effects and was very challenging. They give you unlimited clues so you dont get stuck on one thing for too long and you can decide how much help you want or dont want. We maybe asked for 3 clues and barely completed with just 2 minutes remaining on the clock. Very fun and highly recommended!

Fantastic! My wife and I had such an amazing time playing Sister s Secret . This is one of the best games in San Diego, great special effects, cool puzzles and an amazing and satisfying ending. I highly recommend!

Had an amazing time as beginner escape room players (one of us was our first time, the rest of players had 2 or less previous games). Game masters Miles & Jeric with Sisters escape were friendly, helpful, and gave us clues. Puzzles were challenging and fun, we barely escaped in time. We plan on returning to the Unlockables to try other rooms. They even emailed us a discount coupon for our next booking.

Took a group of friends for my husband s birthday and had a great time! It was all of our first experience! The staff were very helpful and explained the rules with much detail. The room was exciting and challenging and we made it out with 10 minutes to spare! Would definitely like to try another game there sometime soon!

We had so much fun with the Unlockables team and their excellent escape rooms. The location is great good parking and lots of places to eat in the area. The rooms were layered and tantalizing with challenging puzzles, fun stories, and great props. My Sister s Secret was delightfully creepy and a blast to solve. The staff was so nice and accommodating, especially because I brought my six month old baby along! 10/10 would come back again and try additional rooms. If you re in San Diego, this makes for a great evening.

Ayooo! This room was pretty sick, our game masters were Avery and Miles (who were super chill and pretty personable). We played Sisters Secret and the puzzles were both very difficult yet very simple. We were definitely stumped but also definitely amazed. We escaped with 2 minutes left with the help of unlimited clues (thank goodness for those). Definitely recommend this room and we will be coming back to play their others!

This was our first experience with an escape room and it was perfect. I think we got quite a few more hints since they knew it was our first time. The group that left before us with over 8 people were extremely disappointed that they didnt make it out in time. We were a group of 6 and everyone broke off into smaller groups as we figured out the puzzles with one person in charge of writing everything down. Thanks to all the staff there that got our feet wet, were addicted now and well be hitting up every Escape room on Groupon first, then make our way back to our favorites. There are a ton of these in San Diego, feel free to leave a message with your favorites, with 2 under our belts we are ready for some challenging and scary ones.

Our group LOVED this escape room! We only got to play Sisters Secret, but will come back for more when we are back in San Diego. The Game Master customized the room for our team which was much appreciated and made the room even more fun :) Great puzzles and creepy.

I came here for my bachelorette. Unlockables not only has well thought out escape rooms that are ridiculously fun, but the people there are above and beyond. Fun, in character, and very considerate. Every employee to the owner is welcoming. Highly recommend sisters secret, I will definitely be back to play again.

My cousin is getting married and we went to The Unlockables Escape Room as part of her bachelorette experience. My Sisters Secret was my favorite and super fun! Im not into horror and this escape room was exciting and edgy, but not at all overwhelming or too scary. The puzzles were fun, intriguing, and challenging. Loved the fact that it is also in an area surrounded by so many fantastic restaurants and other cute spots (i.e. Tajima Ramen, Steamy Piggy, Up2You Cafe, etc.). Theres even a cute boba shop on the first floor of the building called Tea N More (the egg rolls were amazing!). Anyways, I highly recommend that you try out The Unlockables Escape Room, especially My Sisters Secret!

Read full review there is a bit of color usage in this experience which could prove challenging for anyone who is colorblind, but it was explained before we walked in that, due to low light, they would let us know if our colors were off, so that was great. We had 2 in our party that had never been to an escape room, 1 that had only tried one room and 3 that own an escape room ourselves and have played a lot, so our group was very diverse. Yet, everyone had an amazing time and our newbies now finally understand our obsession. We highly recommend Unlockables!!

Just ran Sisters Secret. Best room in SD, highly recommended. We did it with 2 which is usually my preference, but I think 3, maybe even 4, would be a great number. Lots of things can be done in parallel. 75 minutes too, great experience!

I ve done a few escape rooms in the area and have to say that Unlockables just knocks it out of the park in every aspect! Everything from the storytelling, production value, puzzles, and room design are clearly well thought out. I ve done all three rooms at Poway and Sister s Secret at this location and every experience I ve had here has been so much fun! Can t wait to try more rooms!

Absolutely love! My boyfriend and I have done a dozen escape rooms across San Diego and we agreed this was our favorite thus far (Sisters Secret). Biggest, biggest plus over other escape companies is the production value. Knocked on a cabinet, it knocked back, ominous music, things popping out. The manager was awesome. Best in San Diego

My group had the escape overall worth every penny. My group had a blast and we needed all 8 to solve the room! Riddles were creative and room design was amazing! It felt pretty realistic and we also dressed up for it...the staff loved it! Great experience overall. If you never done an escape room before this is a place to try!

I just got out of Sister s Secret at Unlockables SD and w o w! Fantastic ambience, really well layered puzzles, and just enough spook for our more nervous party member to still get in on the fun.m without being overwhelmed. Thank you Tori for being such a fabulous Game Master!

Really thought provoking and dark themed rooms that can still surprise and entice 14 year old boys, even those who have had sensory overload from their devices! We did The Escape and it a fun experience!

A wonderful production by this amazing family owned business. They are so nice and funny. When you visit you ll see what that means. They have great ideas and the immersion is unlike any other escape room I have been to.
