The Great Room Escape San Diego

Was pretty fun. We managed to get out within 2 minutes of the full 60 minute long challenge. Its absolutely worth the 35 bucks for it. All of its fun critical thinking needed to beat the clock!

So fun! We took pur six year old for his Birthday and our Mad Scientist J was amazing! He really helped make the experience special for our family. Very fun and challenging. Well be back for sure.

Hosted our daughters 17th bday party here and it was a huge success. We got the party room and brought in pizza and cake before they did the art heist escape room. The kids had a blast and it was a super easy party to host. James was a great game master!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This was so much fun! I took my 12 year old and his friends to celebrate his birthday and we did the mad scientist resurrection lab. The mad scientist that was in the room with us was a hoot! None of us knew what to expect because we hadn t done an escape room before, but watching all the kids go through the room trying to find clues and then even myself trying to figure things out was a lot of fun. Read full review in the room with all those kids! He was very helpful, very kind and polite. I think he even gave a little extra guidance knowing that these were kids. We got out at the very last second with the lab exploding, so that was even more fun! We ll definitely be back!!!

Me and 5 of my friends did the Art Heist escape room yesterday afternoon, and it was so much fun! Such creative puzzles, and a great, easy-to-follow order of operations (if you catch on quick enough)! We escaped with 17 minutes to spare, and we WILL be back to try the other two rooms they offer. :) We loved our host, I wish I could remember her name, but she was so pleasant and welcoming to us during our time there. Read full review a ramp on the outside of the building for accessibility, however, I dont think I saw an elevator to the second floor of the building where the Escape Rooms are! :( I would call ahead of time to ensure there is accessibility, if anything. That aside, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun time with friends!

Sarah was our host and she was awesome! We had a group of 9 and did the art heist room. The room was extremely creative and kept stumping us. Solving the puzzles was extremely satisfying and the asthetic of the room was very appealing. We intend to come back and complete the other two rooms they have! Highly recommend this as a group activity!

I really wanted to like this place. The staff is friendly, the lobby is amazing, and the decor of the escape room was great, but the overall gameplay was not good. It was super linear in that 1 puzzle led to the next which led to the next, so it was really more of a 1-person escape room. Read full review combination the whole time, but it wouldnt open and when we finally got help, after looking everywhere for a different code, they had to be like Oh, maybe its busted. Overall, we escaped, but its just that there are better escape rooms out there. We only did one of their rooms, so maybe the other ones are better, but this is just my experience.

My family did the Art Heist yesterday and had a blast! Unfortunately we needed all three hints to complete the heist before the mob arrived to rub us out. I really loved the booming voice telling a member of out group to stop trying to pick the locks and follow the clues. The clues prevailed!!!

Had my son s 12th birthday with 9 of his friends. They did the Med Lab Resurrection and had a blast! The host was great and made the entire experience fun for the boys! Fun even to my hubby who was chaperoning the game! Will definitely try the other rooms next time!

The great room escape was so fun!!!! It was a great experience for teenagers to learn how to team bond and figure out puzzles We had the most amazing helper, Sarah She gave us real good clues to use And definitely helped us escaped I recommend this for any age It s a great friends and family activity and it s completely eight and up appropriate My friends and I had a great time in the art heist escape room I can only write this place five stars but I wish I could rate it 10!!!!!!! Had an awesome experience with friends (5 out of the 6 people had never done an escape room before). We had a blast! We got out with 4 minutes to spare.

So pros: this was great for my 5th grader and friends as an activity to work as a team. Our mad scientist was helpful ( and hilarious when she freaked the kids out after seeing the orientation video too !) the experience was overall not scary except a few moments here and there that just kept the kids feeling excited ! Read full review that we Shouldn t have needed to ask her so many questions ( besides the 3 allowed hints ). We bought this on a Groupon so guess it was an ok value. Would never think it was worth full price . Also was annoying that The only way we could eat anything there was to buy their food or rent out the party room for $75 when all I wanted to do was serve some cupcakes to half a dozen kids for 5 minutes . Overall a fun activity but really only worth it if you get a Groupon or other discount.

Such a fun experience! We did the Lost Tomb of Cleopatra and Kevin was our game master! He added so much to our experience. He was very nice and funny! The room itself was full of puzzles and was very immersive. I would highly recommend it to any group looking for a fun time

Had my sons birthday here and it was great! They accommodated a large group and 2 full escape rooms with ease, and the party room was perfect! Highly recommend!

The staff is exceptional and very accommodating. The design was impressive especially the axe throwing room. We did the Art Heist and thoroughly enjoyed the puzzle and interactive pressure :)

Was such a great experience with friends. All night at dinner talked about how awesome our experience there was. Groupon had an voucher error and the Great Room Escape helped us. Would highly recommend and would certainly go back again!!!

We hosted a birthday party here and had a blast. The staff were so helpful, from getting things scheduled in advance, to the check in, and even the game master during the escape room. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible. Would highly recommend.

Had a great family time at The Great Room Escape this past Saturday. We did the Cleopatra Room and found it challenging. Some of us had done 1 escape room prior, but this one had elements that had us struggling to figure things out. Thankfully the Pharaoh was able to help us out when we needed it and were able to escape with 4 minutes remaining. Recommend The Great Room Escape and would go back to try the other 2 rooms.

I brought my teenaged nephews and nieces to this escape room on Saturday. We had to wear our face masks the whole time and the place was very clean. We did Art Heist. Our group was 5 people and we escaped with 12 minutes to spare! All of us had such a great time and plan on coming back for the new room, coming soon. Sarah, our game leader was very nice and accommodating. Such a fun experience. Totally recommend.

This place is amazing me and my friends did The Art Hiest and we had amazing time. The little lobby was pretty nice with some puzzles and magnizenes. They had plent of photo spots really good puzzles and amazing staff. Last night our host left us in a room for some rule videos. When we finish she rush through the door giving all of my friends a spook. If you see this great escape rooms give or a raise! This is a good place to bond, solve puzzles and just try to escape with your friends.

I took my 11 year old and her friends to the Art Heist Escape Room for my daughters birthday and had a blast. (We did fortunately have a few adults in the group, which was needed as the clues were fairly difficult.) The kids had the absolute best time and so did the adults. We cant wait to do another one!

We did the Mad lab and had a great time with our Mad scientist Andy!! The puzzles and clues were tricky but definitely solvable, make sure to utilize your 3 clues when you get stuck!!

I had a great time for my first escape room with my family on my birthday! There was lots of parking, the bathrooms were very clean, and there was a lot of room for us to wait while our room was being prepared. The woman who was running our escape room was very nice and helpful. She was very patient since it was our first time. They give you hints when you are struggling while you are trying to escape and we used them ALL! We got out with 4-5 minutes to spare! I would suggest these escape rooms for everyone. I had a delightful experience and I would love to come back and do another one! Thank you for the fun memories on my birthday!
