The Entrapment

The Entrapment is not your typical escape room. It's a journey into another world, a fully immersive experience where atmosphere, story, and technology intertwine. Imagine stepping into an elaborate set, like The Bayou or London Fog, where every detail, from the digital locks to the hidden compartments, pulls you deeper into the narrative. This isn't just about finding keys and solving riddles, it's about unraveling a story alongside captivating characters and unexpected surprises. While some rooms offer linear puzzles, perfect for those who enjoy a clear path to victory, others like The Bayou, challenge you with non-linear puzzles, demanding teamwork and strategic thinking. Prepare to be amazed by the intricate design, the high-tech puzzles, and the sheer creativity of each room.

Went here with a group of 8 for some rainy day fun and we were very impressed! I have done a few escape rooms in the past and many involve key locks, combo locks and that ilk, this escape room was much more high tech with digital locks and hidden compartments, rooms etc that opened upon completion of puzzles. We did the hardest room, and there was plenty of concurrent puzzle lines to keep everyone busy for the duration. Overall impressed with the quality of this room and its high tech puzzles. While Id love to post more photos I wont spoil the room and its secrets, youll have to go see for yourself! This room was the 3rd in a related series that form a story, but you can do them on their own with the little backstory video provided.

Our team are very experienced players and loved playing all three games in one day at The Entrapment. Our standout favorites were The Bayou and London Fog. Great set design and challenging puzzles. These games are non-linear, with lots of fun surprises. These are tough games so group of 4-5 would be recommended. Scott was a great host!

I love going to new escape rooms and trying new places. All of the puzzles in the room we went to were linear. I discovered today I am not a fan of linear puzzles so it wasnt AS enjoyable as other escape rooms. But if you enjoy linear puzzles, this is the place for you! The area itself was in a tiny business strip and parking was rough. I would recommend getting there early to find parking because there wasnt much parking in the lot or on the street.

Have really enjoyed this escape room so far! Ive done London Fog (non-linear) and Fogmore Manor (linear) and both were very fun. They offer a Midweek Twos option for 2 players on Tuesday through Thursday as well

Fun and magical. Very linear room where youll be sure to be connected whole time, so if thats your style this is the escape room for you! If you like to have more multiple projects for team to figure out at same time not so much.

We did the Bayou escape room with a group of four. We really liked the atmosphere & scenery. We had a few struggles with understanding the verbal cues & it was rather dark for the 2 of us in our 50s, but the teenager & twenty something were able to see just fine. We managed to solve the puzzles & escape with almost 10 minutes to spare. It was a very immersive & interactive room. We enjoyed it very much.

Great experience! Went w/ my family of (5) [wife & I, (2) kids in 20s, and (1) 13 y.o.] plus a 20-something friend. Riddles were challenging but not so difficult that you want to give up in frustration. Finished about 80% before our time ran out. The back story for the room was creative, the props were good and not cheesy. Plenty of room for the (6) of us to move & operate. Just wish the escape room was in a better business park. The suspicious massage parlor next to it and dimly lit parking lot prevented me from giving The Entrapment 5-stars.

Great rooms and unique theme. Great use of tech. Fogmore Manor is top 15 and imo bayou is the best room in San Diego (we have done 100+ across the nation), but more objectively I think its easily top 3 by anyones standards. Rooms are tough and long but extremely satisfying and worth every second. If youre reading this, do both of The Entrapments rooms.

Ive always been interested in trying an escape room. It started off as quirky as youd imagine with a video received from a friend that gave backstory. At first I wasnt super involved but as the puzzles came I kept getting more and more interested. By the end we were frantically trying to solve the puzzles and managed to escape with a minute to spare. All-in-all, it was an immersive experience that can bring you and your friends together for some wholesome fun. Thats hard to say nowadays.

We did a Christmas themed escape room with 6, and it worked perfectly to where everyone had a little bit of puzzles to do. Pretty great time for us

My girlfriend and I had a great time trying to figure out all the clues. We definitely worked as a team which was necessary to find answers. I dont think any one person could solve everything alone. We talked for days afterwards and are looking forward to our second trip. I highly recommend this experience and encourage you to go as a group, whether friends or strangers, you will work together.

Spectacular if you love asian foods, they will cook it any way you tell them, very well laid out color menus inside wirh Chinese and English. What I did not realize is they have a huge twenty foot menu itemized over the front door before you enter! Staff speak English fluently and you can eat inside or outside, they have a big diner...offer complete sanitizer everywhere, place is well kept in all three locations to eat at. My score is a 5 star! If you like asian you will love this entire walking area and also down the road on Kearny Mesa, its like little China

Dont let the unassuming building and entry fool you, this escape room experience is awesome. We did The Bayou, and it was clever, fun and interesting. The set design and trinkets in the rooms were super cool, definitely lots of attention to detail. And the self-imposed access to clues when needed was nice. The video that starts the experience gives some fun background to the story. We also appreciated it just being a party and not having to try to solve with strangers. Overall a really fun experience!! Several cool pubs nearby as well.

We made a short visit to San Diego this week for an event. This was a last minute squeeze-in game because we were in the area of town at that time. Im so glad we picked the room and place we did. We played the Bayou and it exceeded all expectations. Ive played several games around the country and this game will be at the top of my list. We played with two players and this was very challenging. Scott was nice enough to give us a couple extra minutes to finish. There was just so much to do in these room, very unique puzzles, great storyline. Definitely recommend but being friends!!

I went to this escape room to celebrate my friends birthday and it was tons of fun! The guide was friendly, the storyline was engaging, the puzzles were thought-provoking, but not impossible, and the mood was set perfectly. Would come again, I highly recommend!

We did the Fogmore Manor escape room and it was challenging but very fun. Bummed we didnt get out in time but after revealing what was left it was very cool to see all the puzzles and tech behind it. Also, Ricky was the best part of this experience

Scott has worked really hard to create 3 terrific rooms that are fully immersive and all have great themes. They are not easy, but they are definitely fun and worth it! The design and detail of the rooms are spot on, and really make you feel like youre in a haunted mansion, a bayou, or a London pub. A few of the puzzles were glitchy, but the creativity in the puzzles themselves make them fun anyway. These rooms are definitely outstanding with a high caliber of brain busting. Definitely one of my favorite escape room venues in San Diego! Thank you Scott!

Absolutely top notch rooms for beginners and enthusiasts alike. There is so much to do in all of these rooms! Excellent production value and set design. This place checks all the boxes. Their new London Fog room is incredible. The owner truly has an understanding of immersion and what makes an escape room such a unique form of entertainment. Ive done over 200 rooms and this is a must play.

Absolutely amazing. I love doing escape rooms and have probably done a dozen at this point and Ive never done a room as excellent as this one. Immersion into the room was incredible, the decorations, the sound, the lighting, everything. And there were original, hand-made props!! I was thrilled from start to finish and excited for more. Easily my favorite escape room place. Ill be coming back for more!!

This escape room was incredible! I loved how immersive it was. There was a lot of detail put into making us forget we were not actually at Fogmore manor, and the hour flew by! The puzzles were challenging but not unnecessarily hard & the game mechanics were super creative! (Not just locks and keys!) My group was 3 people (all experienced at escape rooms), and we got out with just a couple of minutes to spare! The atmosphere was very immersive which added to the energy of the game. Fogmore is a linear room & very straightforward. (I don t have a preference, but I know some people do). We will definitely be returning to continue the story in the bayou & London fog!

My group played Midnight Raven. The theme is visually pleasing, but that s where the highlight ended for us. This doesn t play like a true escape room, but rather an RPG. You follow instructions and complete the tasks asked of you. We spent most of our time in silence and sitting on the floor while waiting to be instructed. In a normal escape room, you find clues and tie them to a puzzle without being told because it speaks for itself. They attempted this in the last room, but it fell short because...
every puzzle required loads of reading. If we break this down, we had a super long, boring intro that felt like a history lesson in high school, an old dude (fake character not real person) that talks way too much and loads of reading. It was a snooze fest for us.

Lots of showmanship for the manor! Interesting puzzles, very friendly monitor, and just all around a blast. Highly recommended you try this place out if you like escape rooms!

Super fun!!! I did another Escape Room a few years back... This one is WAY better, very well decorated and with helpful, subtle hints from the owner we really enjoyed our time in this beautiful Halloween room
