Great escape room! The Speakeasy was well designed and took our group of 7 almost the whole hour to solve. Sarah did a great job getting us all set up. We will look forward to going back to try another room!

What an experience!! Lily was great , we showed up to do the family cabin, ended up working with her all day and did every room they had! Absolutely Great experience! Rooms were very immersive and fun. Tech was awesome! Puzzles were great Highly recommend, will be back when they get a new room!

This was our families first ever escape room experience. Jakob was our game master tonight he explained all of the rules very clearly and gave us good hints when we needed them. We did the Speakeasy room and managed to escape a few minutes after the hour time limit expired. Honestly this was such an amazing experience we can not wait to come back and try another room out.

All the rooms here are solid but basic rooms with lots of combo locks and one or two tech items. For the casual escape room going these rooms will be enjoyable and a good challenge. Theming is enough to know where you are and is adequate, but not much more than that. Some atmospheric sound effects would go a long way to upper the immersion in a simple way. Most every puzzle boiled down to collecting numbers/counting things and it got monotonous for me. There were certainly a few puzzles that went beyond this.

We played The Family Cabin. 2 expert puzzlers and 2 relative newbies. We escaped with 18 min to spare. It was a really well designed room. Lots of aha moments, cool tech. everything was clued pretty well and was straightforward to solve. A really great room to take my parents to and show them a great puzzle room experience!

Liked the themes of the rooms/set design and the puzzles were relatively on theme as well! The Cabin was a fun 90/early 2000s themed room. I loved this one! The other we did was The Diner. There was a fun twist on this that we didnt expect, but I was less impressed with this room. It was a lot of linear 4 number combo lock type gameplay. I do wish that some of the mechanics on the puzzles were updated though. Some of them felt quite finicky and wouldnt work unless you did it a very specific way.

Joseph was a great host! The waiting room had activities and the room itself (Chinatown) was a lot of fun. It was challenging but Joseph helped give us nudges and some were funny too. We managed to finish in the nick of time and overall super fun and definitely worth checking out.

We had a blast and escaped with a few seconds left. Megan did a great job with the hints and timing of them to get our family through. Our kids first escape room but not their last judging from their excitement!

Best escape room I ve ever done. The room s plot was super fun (we were attempting to break into our grandparents lodge to recover a childhood game) and puzzles matched the theme so well and were the perfect level of difficulty. My team beat the room with less than a minute to spare. That felt soooo good. The employees are also awesome! Great experience, would absolutely come here and try all the rooms if I could!

Years ago we did the Diner, and this weekend we completed The cabin and Chinatown. All of the rooms here are clever- they have interesting clues and great themes. We have done literally hundreds of rooms all over the country and these rooms are so fun. They are difficult for two people(we only escaped because our game master helped us in the final seconds). But we love the difficulty and interesting puzzles. Can t wait to come back to try The Speakeasy.

I have never done an escape room before so this was my first time. We went as a family and had the best time ever! We were greeted by friendly staff in the waiting area, watch a quick video of rules and what to expect and were on our way to our room. Once in it was full of all sorts of things to explore, so quickly split up and started checking it all out. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging, but we were able to sort it all out between the 4 of us. We ended up in 3 different rooms before...

After finishing the awesome staff congratulated us and offered to take a photo of our family with the We Escaped sign. Great keepsake! Cant wait to return and try another room <3

Ive been to a lot of escape games in my time and these are really great. I wanted to try every room before writing a review. I can say that they put a lot of thought and detail into the layout and props - they look super authentic. I bet they spent a lot of time and money building these rooms. And the puzzles are really good. Of course, they have the usual black light stuff but theres a lot of cool and unexpected things theyve done that Ive never seen anywhere else. If you like escape games, 100% check this place out.

Recently visited this place and had a great time doing the cabin escape room. Alexis was very helpful and made the experience wonderful! As someone who has gone to multiple escape rooms, this was definitely one of the best! The puzzles were challenging but very fun to work through, even in just a group of two people.

Quicksands games are great! I have played all of them; they are the perfect balance of challenge, surprise, and fun! Each room has a unique theme; my personal favorite is the Speakeasy room. The staff is also super friendly and helpful throughout the whole experience.

What a great experience! I recently visited Quicksand and did the Family Cabin with a group of friends, and it was an absolute blast. We had so much fun we came back the next weekend to play the Speakeasy Nouveau room, too. The puzzles were unique and the perfect level of challenging, and the two rooms themes were incredibly immersive. The game masters were also super friendly and helpful. Ive played a bunch of escape rooms in the past few years, and I highly recommend Quicksand for anyone looking for a good time with friends or family. Cant wait to go back and try the other two rooms!

Came here a few months ago with friends who dragged me along, and while I had never played one of these before and struggled, I absolutely loved it! I love the concept of solving puzzles to progress a story and it was executed very well. I felt immersed and like I was actually in the situation where I had to problem solve my way out of a tricky scenario. Since then I have done a couple more escape rooms around town, and while they were also very fun and challenging, I am itching to come back and try my hand at the three other rooms this business has to offer. This time I will bring my younger nephews because they would absolutely adore this sort of thing!

So much fun! Rating: Just did the speakeasy escape room and it was an absolute blast! The puzzles were challenging yet solvable, the room design was immersive, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for a fun and exciting escape room experience!

Shea was our game master and really made the experience so much fun. Very clever room (speak easy). Lots of interesting puzzles and an overall great experience! Can t wait to go back and try another room!

This place was terrific! They have 4 rooms with very original themes, and just an overall great experience. I loved Chinatown, with great details and all of the puzzles fitting in well with the theme. Family Cabin was fun and the design was fabulous, right down to feeling chilly when you were outside the cabin, but warmer once you got inside. Puzzles were not reused from room to room, everything was creative and appropriate for the room. This place is definitely worth a visit when you are in San Diego!

We did two of the four rooms at Quicksand (so far!) and can say it has some of the most satisfying puzzles we ve solved. The puzzles used real objects and you weren t constantly bombarded by tech. The tech was there but used properly, not over-the-top like other rooms we ve visited. Highly recommend!

Our family of 6 did the Cabin Escape Room and had a blast! Super well thought out and lots of fun. And, it was very nostalgic for those of us in our 30s with game, music, and other pop-culture references that were fun to reflect on and laugh about throughout the course of the puzzle. Would definitely go back to check out the other rooms!

I was in California for a business trip and we needed something kind of impromptu for team building. Quicksand came through! Employee was super friendly and the owner Greg hooked us up with a sweet package and even made some recommendations on restaurants nearby. Everyone was super friendly and the team had a blast! From what I understand even more puzzles are coming soon. I cant wait! Have to come back in the Spring for more trainings and I plan on bringing the team back. Great experience all around!

Awesome escape room! We played their newest room the family cabin and it was fantastic! Great puzzles! We would highly recommend!
