Nightwalker Caverns Escape Room Adventures San Diego

My husband and I went here recently and our experience exceeded our expectations! We were greeted immediately by the owner and he was very personable and we enjoyed his dry sense of humor. The escape room was incredible ! It wasn t like other escape rooms where things don t make sense - and he told us if we used our common sense we could definitely get out. We escaped with 15 seconds to spare and were greeted by him and his wife to celebrate - If you want to have a great experience all around this is the place!!! We ll be back

Went last night (newbies to the escape world), we did the clownatorium upside down room & it was awesome. We were a group of 4 ppl & it was so much fun. The owner is such a nice guy and very personable. Loved hearing about his quest through I believe it was 252 rooms (not literally all 252 stories ,but he told us about a couple of them and then overall the # of rooms hes done altogether.) Nightwalker Caverns Escape Room crafted an amazing experience for us with their Gooneze escape room! We have done lots of escape rooms and this was certainly our favorite that we have done. Lots of fun and thematic set pieces and puzzles, and its great if you have a full group because there is so much to do within the rooms. We are all big fans of the movie and they really did a great job incorporating bits and pieces into it. You can really tell this one was a labor of love. Thanks so much for a fun time and we definitely recommend anybody who is interested should take the plunge and go try to escape here!

Been coming here for a few years now completely one room at a time. Our family drives 2 hours from Riverside to get here and love it! This place is bar none the best and offers a one of a kind experience at an escape room ever and weve done them all! So much great thought, planning and hard work goes into everything they do. Such a wonderful family friendly company. Everyone is great and makes every experience fun and memorable. Cant wait to go back for more adventures! Highly recommend them to anyone!

Went here tonight to the Clownatorium and it was so much fun! It is family ran my a dad and daughter team. They made all of the rooms themselves and it is one of the BEST rooms in San Diego. Definitely recommend, but you need a big group of at least 4 to complete the rooms.

I ve been to a lot of escape rooms around San Diego by far this place is the BEST IN SAN DIEGO. Most escape rooms had 2-3 rooms to solve, the Gooneze room had 9. If you watched the Goonies movie then you would really appreciate how detailed each room was and knew exactly what movie scene you were in. The decor, ambiance, and pure quality put into the lobby and rooms was beyond what I wouldve imagined. We will definitely be back to try hotel nocturnas and king tut soon. My 1st escape room experience and it blew my expectations out of the water!! Our group of 5 made it out with 9mins to spare. Definitely challenging but staff was friendly, encouraging and so much fun! We will be back to check out the other room options!

I love to do escape rooms, so I brought some friends so we could all do it! First time in this location and definitely recommend. One of the largest escape rooms I ve done - more complex in the sense it is not linear and some items can be done out of order. They definitely try and set you up for success by helping if needed but never giving away too much.

Hands down the most immersive and fantastic experience I have ever had, they have Disney level quality mechanics and super crazy things to interact with, we did the cannibalism hotel room and it blew my mind. My friends and I did the Clownatorium room for my birthday last night and everyone had a fun time. The rooms were very well designed and there were plenty of puzzles for 8 people to work on without anyone feeling left out. I liked that the experience was very interactive and our host, Bubbles, was great. We will definitely be back to try the other rooms!

This was the most challenging and exciting escape rooms I have ever done! I brought my office here as a team bonding outing and it was so much fun! We did the serial killer themed room which was so detailed and had a couple of jump scares! We were able to finish it in exactly an hour and a half! If you want to be challenged, have multiple rooms of fun, and have constant interactions, this is the place to go! I can see why they are the number one rated escape room in San Diego!!

My friends and I recently booked for the King Tut escape room. We weren t aware of this being the hardest room but for our first times, it was so much fun. I love the immersive experience, the design of the room, and how challenging it was. I cannot express enough how welcoming (and funny) the owner was. We also had the pleasure of meeting his granddaughter and gave us the best hints I would recommend everyone coming to this escape room on a weekend! Thank you again!

We love the escape rooms here! They feel so authentic and are always really well decorated. The puzzles are well thought out and also match the vibe of the room. The staff is so nice and informative and you can tell they all love what they do. We can t wait to come back and finish all the rooms!

We were greeted at the beginning and end by amazing people (presumably the owners). The Gooneze room was lots of fun! I did it with 7 other people yet it was still a good challenge. Our actor was very helpful and gave great clues. Would highly recommend! You can tell that lots of thought and effort was put into the set ups, game design, etc.

First time doing an escape room with my fiancée who has done a lot of them. We both absolutely loved the experience and the owner was very kind. Definitely coming back with friends and planning to bring my work team, too. Thanks for such a fun night.

Our second visit - for Tuts Rut this time. So much fun. Challenging puzzles with incredible set design. Great storyline and friendly staff. We escaped with 11 mins left! Not the record but well take it! Our first visit was for Hotel Nocturnus. Both were great adventures! Cant wait to do more!

It was an interactive and fun experience from the moment we walked in. We did their smallest room and still had a BLAST!!! We can not wait to go back and do their GOONEZE room creating more wonderful memories! The staff was beyond AHHHMAZING!

We did the Tuts Rut room and it was a great experience. Very unique and creative puzzles. Only thing that would have made it better would be if the symbols that were written in sharpie were clear. Some of them were faded and hard to read. Other than that it was amazing. Definitely want to go back and try the other rooms.

This was one of the best escape rooms I ve ever done in San Diego! It is a family-owned business who have been running escape rooms for quite a few years! The owners are very friendly and welcoming too! My group did the Tut s Rut escape room and it had a lot of great puzzles that really tied well to the tomb raider/ancient Egypt theme. 10/10 would recommend. The owners are very kind and passionate about their business. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into their rooms. We had the pleasure of doing Tuts Rut room. If you like Indian Jones, you will love this room. My family and I will definitely be back to do their other rooms!

As escape room enthusiasts, my team and I had a blast! We did the Clownatorium room and it really felt like we were at a carnival! You can tell they put a great deal amount of time and effort into the effects and decor. The owner, Shane, and his daughter are very pleasant and exceptional hosts! The puzzles were refreshingly simple yet challenging (if that makes sense ha!) but we had a great time! After we escaped, Shane was kind enough to even let us tour his other two rooms which we will DEFINITELY be back to try. Night crawler taverns is worth the money, you won t be disappointed!

An amazing experience! My group and I had never done an escape room. The guide there made sure to make us feel comfortable and help us when we would ask without giving us direct answers. It was really apparent how much time and effort went into each and every room. I will definitely be coming back and I highly recommend the experience to anyone.

Loved it! Their website was super easy and fast to navigate. The owners were super funny and engaging, explained everything on how the rooms work in a simple and understanding manner. We did the Gooneze, which was amazing especially with first timers. There were several rooms where you would have to go back to them to figure out another puzzles. We loved the whole experience and it was so much funny. Plan on going back as soon as possible!

This was my second experience doing an a escape room. And all I can say that this was the best, our host and bubbles the clown were very cool and welcoming. The clown was fun to talk to, and the sarcasm...loved it! Just doing the overview of the escape room in the begininng was the best part, we laughed so hard and had a good time. 10/10 would do this again. :D

This Escape room was the best! 1) the amount of detail in the design and props was so fun. You can tell they put a lot of effort and thought into it. 2) they dont have the 3 hint max. All the other escape rooms Ive been to have this and its a bummer when youre stuck and cant receive more help. I like that here you have a choice. 3) this location is very immersive too which definitely adds to the whole experience! I definitely recommend coming here!!

Overall, our experience was amazing. First, its a family owned business with daughter and father. Our host was the daughter and she was amazing and helped us along the way, being an amazing cluemaster and host. We did Tuts Rut. We did this Escape Room as a company team-building event. It was the first time doing an escape room for many of us, so it was a great way to work together while having fun. We did the Clownatorium 2, which was fun and tricky, and gives all the 90s amusement park nostalgia. The clown in the room with you is great, wasnt sure how I felt about having a live clown in the room with us, but I ended up loving it and couldnt have done it without him. The owner was onsite and was a very pleasant gentleman; he even gave us a sneak peek at one of the other Escape Rooms once we finally escaped Clownatorium. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Escape Room!

An escape room owner with 100 escape room experiences, this was so great an experience we booked another room the next day and both are in my top 5. It is crazy fun and simple interactive puzzles but we used all our time in both rooms!! 10 slides, multiple rooms per experience, fun surprises everywhere.
