MindFox Escape San Diego

Had an absolute blast playing Black and White Cafe! We have done a ton of escape rooms around the country, so we are always looking for a room that s unique. The puzzles were excellent and tied to the theme in clever ways. Plus the staff was friendly and welcoming! We were bummed that we were unable to book their second room during this trip, but we will definitely come back in the future!

This experience was excellent from start to finish. The Black and White Cafe is quite possibility one of the best escape rooms in San Diego! Our group of 4 had an incredible time! The puzzles were unique and satisfyingly challenging. The staff were welcoming, accommodating, and general pleasure to be around. Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone thinking about trying this for the first time.

Great game!!! It flowed so well. Every puzzle was understandable and continued to the next thing. Storyline made sense as well. Staff is very sweet.

Had such an amazing time here! Our game master Victoria was very welcoming and the whole atmosphere was very clean and charming even in the waiting area. We played Moriartys Mansion and I have to say it was my favorite out of the handful of rooms Ive been to. The props were well crafted and the environs detailed. The puzzles were individually very polished and thematically cohesive. What I loved most were the collaborative games! Cant wait to come back and play the other room and cant recommend this one enough!

What an amazing place the game masters were all amazing and they made the experience extra fun especially considering this was our kids first escape room and only me and my wife s second. We did Moriarty s Manor and while I don t want to give anything away, prepare to be amazed. Super impressive build quality and puzzles that are so well done and thought out and unique. Teamwork is key and everyone is kept busy throughout. We will be back for their other room for sure!

We did moriatys mansion and it was wonderful! Very clever and intuitive puzzles and just flowed really really well overall. Our game master was awesome and really helped us out. Room felt pretty challenging for us three (barely made it with ample help) but seemed like a bigger group would be easier at it was pretty non linear. Highly recommend and well be back to do the others at some point

Had a blast escaping from the Black & White Cafe to celebrate a friend s birthday! So many little creative touches and great puzzles to solve. Victoria did an awesome job explaining the rules and answering our questions beforehand and was there to celebrate and take our photo when we escaped!

Amazing experience! I had never done an escape room because it just didnt seem like my thing. On a random Friday evening, we decided to do this based on the great reviews. Lindsey and Victoria were kind enough to let us take a last-minute time slot. We had a blast in the black and white room and now Im hooked! Lindsey was so great - I hope were able to book with her when we go again next time.

This place was awesome. Not only was the room one of the best weve ever done, but the staff was super friendly and just added to the overall experience. We had some friends with us that had never done an escape room before, so we chose the black and white room, as it was advertised as more of a beginner room. Our friends were not disappointed at all. All puzzles were fair, and challenging but not insanely challenging. Definitely a good starter room. Will definitely go back for the other room soon!

My family of 6 came to play Moriartys Manor together. We are fairly experienced escape room players, and there were a lot of elements that we really enjoyed about this room. We all felt that each of the puzzles was fair, which was refreshing because sometimes you leave a room thinking how could I have ever figured that out! This room felt challenging and it really plays with your sense of time and your trust in your teammates to get the job done. All in all, some really interesting takes on puzzles in this room and wed be happy to play with them again!

Loved loved loved the black and white cafe!! It had been a while since we had done an escape room so were definitely a bit rusty but Lindsey who was working our room was a huge help in making sure we werent completely stuck. Definitely want to try their other room! Really creative puzzles and style

Best escape rooms and best staff in all of San Diego!! And super CLEAN! My group and I had a blast at Mindfox. For one of the rooms, we split up and did a head to head competition. The staff was so great and did a big reveal at the end on who won! Would highly recommend both their rooms and cant wait for their new one in the summer.

With a team of 6 we were able to escape with 4 minutes to spare. This was the best escape room we have completed. Well thought out and creative with moments of excitement and accomplishment. Highly recommend to anyone who loves escape rooms and wants to challenge themselves. 10 out of 10! Lindsay was an amazing guide and made us feel welcome and comfortable.

Lindsey was our game master and she was AMAZING!!! this was a fantastic experience and made my daughters birthday so special!! This was our first escape room and we had an absolute blast. Cannot recommend this enough. The effects were spot on.

My daughter and I are escape room beginners. Literally completed our first escape room today at MindFox. It has been about 12 hrs since we completed it and we are still on a high from the experience! Everything about it was great! We did the Black and White Cafe and boy was it fun! The instructions and tips were all useful and appropriate... the theme was fun and original... the puzzles were engaging... our game master, Victoria was enthusiastic and helpful and I just found the whole experience...

My 11 year old daughter impressed me with her ability to figure out so many things as her old man tends to overthink alot and we got through it in the nick of time! This experience was a special one for us as we got to bond with a fun time and create a memory that will likely last for the rest of our lives! I went to Mind Fox with a group of friends for a birthday celebration, and it was so much fun. Victoria was our game master and guided us through the rules and options for our room. It was my first time doing an escape room, and this was a great introduction. The seasoned experts in our group who had done escape rooms before also had a great time. Thank you, Victoria, for a wonderful experience!

Lindsay was a fantastic guide. This was by far, the most well thought out and exciting escape room I have ever attended. The Shark Week box in the restroom was so thoughtful and greatly appreciated Will recommend!!!!

Escape room enthusiast alike! This is one of the places to go to! We did Moriarty Manor with two people and we succeeded! The staff is so welcoming- having the group name with a welcome and even just the overall friendliness. They are escape room enthusiast alike so they love watching people play and love feedback. Small business owners who you can feel their passion and love in escape rooms. Understandably, they have limited scheduling so I managed to really squeeze one game in. The drive can be a bit far from downtown. But I do not regret it a single bit for that hefty ride share cost as the room as so well developed and the storyline was fascinating. Next time we ll be back to try Black and White.

We did the Black and White Cafe with three people. The design of the room was amazing and unique, unlike Ive seen before. The puzzles were a very nice mix of types, and there were a lot of them. Our gamemasters, Tiffany and Victoria, were super helpful and gave us just the nudges we need. Would recommend for a fun experience!

We did the Moriarty room with a group of 5, which felt like a good number. It was a great challenge (we had a fairly experienced group)! Lots of cool puzzles and a fun theme. Victoria was a great game master too! And afterward a couple of the owners greeted us personally, which was a nice personal touch. Im looking forward to doing the other room!

MindFox is an amazing company. They staff is kind and enthusiastic. It is apparent that they love what they do and that they have fun doing it. Upon our arrival, we were told we booked the wrong time, however Honey Lynn worked her magic and got us in to the earlier game. Honey Lynn was so fun. Our game master was a Victoria and she was fantastic! She was great with the intro and clues. After our game we came out and everyone working applauded our escape and had our pictures up on the board. The games are extremely well done and creative and what makes it even better are the people working. I wish they had more games because this is definitely a favorite company!

We did Moriartys Manor with a group of 5 and we found it pretty challenging! My group had varied experience levels (a few beginners, a few with 10+, and one who had done 30+) and we still had to request around 5 hints (and finished with only 5 minutes remaining). The puzzles had really cool tech with a lot of new things that I had never seen before. We really beat ourselves up on things that we requested hints for because we should have got it in the first place. All of the puzzles were logical...
Read full review and cohesive. Our GM Victoria was a sweetheart and were definitely looking forward to coming back to play the black and white cafe room as well. This has probably been my favorite room in San Diego due to the really cool puzzle tech and high difficulty. Would recommend playing this with at least 3 people even though the min is 2.

I wont share details of the room itself, but Ill say weve done close to 20 rooms in the area and Moriartys Manor is easily in running for best room around.

Such a great escape room (Moriarty s Lair)! Took my daughter and her friends this weekend and it was one of the best we have been to. Victoria was a fun game master. The production value was really high. So fun!

My family has done a few dozen escape rooms and this is one of our favorites. We did the Moriarty Manor escape room and it was amazing. There are lots of things that can be worked on at the same time so nobody ended up standing around bored. The puzzles are all challenging but very fair (we kicked ourselves a couple of times after getting hints and seeing what we missed). To top it off all of the staff are amazing. Our game master was Victoria and she did a great job getting us moving in the right direction when needed. We cant wait to come back and try their Black and White Cafe room.
