So fun! Had a group of nine. Never done an escape room before. Anthony was our game master. Took us a bit to get it figured out to start, but once we figured out how to look for clues - we had so much fun! Thanks so much!

We tried the Arcade and stood up pretty good to our expectations though we could only crack it like 80%. Claire was our game master, she did really help us when needed. Even after being to many escape rooms prior, this one was actually challenging for us. Hope to see more puzzles from these guys , good job

Ive done 20+ escape rooms and hands down Arcade ranks in my top 2. My group and I did both Arcade and De Ja Vu here and they were both phenomenal, but Arcade steals the show. Without giving anything away- There were several personal touches in these rooms that made them stand out among others, and they were the right amount of challenging. I also appreciated the level of passion the Game Masters had and the way they gave clues when asked for but not on their own. Not going to lie, I judged a book by its cover when we first arrived as it didnt have a cool or unique entrance as some places Id been to had, but I was so wrong. Great puzzles, amazing transitions and an incredible experience. Check it out!

Did the Dejavu room with a group from work. Our guide Aaron was friendly and helpful. The story was intriguing, clues were unique and overall had a great experience.

This was my first time with any time of escape room games. The puzzles were challenging and the hints were just helpful enough without giving too much away. I was very impressed with the amount of detail put into the set and puzzle designs. The whole experience has definitely sucked me into the escape room genre and Im sure this experience has set a high standard for escape rooms!

My teenage son and his friends did the Deja Vu room. It was his friends first time doing an escape room. They loved it and were able to solve it. My daughter, her friend, and I did the Arcade room and this was definitely not to be solved quickly. It really challenged me mentally and had some easy parts as well. This escape room was fun. Definitely recommend it if you need a challenge.

Two of us had a blast doing Deja Vu. It was a somewhat linear puzzle, so worked great for two of us. The difficulty and pacing felt just right, whenever we felt like we were getting stuck we would get a breakthrough. Michael was an awesome host, we will be coming back for The Arcade in the future.

Hi, unfortunately my experience with my group was a letdown due to us not being able to finish the room based on certain puzzles not working as intended and causing us to waste time even though we were doing everything right. My group was left frustrated that we could have done well but didnt even know it wasnt our fault since some of the puzzles just didnt do what they were supposed to when they were supposed to. This was for the Arcade room and we thought it was a well designed room overall but the experience just left us frustrated since we had time taken away and would not be given extra time even though it was the fault of the puzzles and the room for failing to do what they were supposed to do.

Jasmine and Nerissa were our game masters and it was so much fun. Our group played the Arcade and DeJaVu games. Both were so creative and immersive and I loved the expert difficulty level. A problem Ive had with other Escape Rooms is when there arent enough tasks for everyone to figure out at the same time. In this one, even if there was just one task, all 5 of us were able to collaborate. Unlimited hints and cool room designs!

We had a super experience at Escape Era! Our group was larger than officially allowed so they warned us it would be a tad crowded but allowed us to all play together if we wanted to. I do agree that the game would work best with a slightly smaller group, maybe 6 would be ideal, but even with being overfilled we had lots of fun. The gamemaster was fantastic, gave a perfect intro that was clear and easy to understand, but also funny and entertaining. The game itself was a blast, the hour went...
by in what felt like 10 minutes. Our players were ages 10-72 and everyone was able to participate. I like that the game allows you to choose how easy or hard to set it, and if you want hints or not. We plan to return to try their other game; thank you Escape Era!

This was the hardest of the 5 escape rooms that we have done in San Diego, but one of the most fun. The puzzles were unique and made sense with the theme of the room. Not too many red herrings. Plenty of stuff to do in parallel for the entire team to stay occupied at all times. The moderator gave useful hints when we were stuck without giving too many hints. Overall, a great experience. Ill definitely come back to do their other rooms.

We played the Deja Vu escape room on expert mode it was very challenging for just two of us, but we just barely made it. Tina, our game master, gave a few hints along the way, which were perfect to point us in the right direction without giving anything away, so it didn t feel like it spoiled the fun.

My very first escape room experience was really fun. The mystery, the hints, the scenario, everything made such a wonderful time and sure we will be back. Make sure to arrive at least 15 mins early on schedule to receive a nice introduction for first-timers! Thanks Michael and all the Escape Era Team. I definitively recommend it ;)

Our group is somewhat an escape room veteran with 30+ rooms under our belts and I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the quality of this escape room. The room has a nice ambiance, tasteful deco and many cool props. You can tell that it was designed with great care, passion and attention to details - something that I look for and appreciate in a well-designed escape room. There are very good mix of clever and challenging puzzles that we love in all the escape games we have played, from logic...
to pattern finding, some physical and also some pretty impressive tech! Our group had a blast playing their difficult mode and got out with barely minutes to spare. (difficulty level can be adjusted for the beginners as well) The location is very convenient, just off the I-805 in a business park with plenty of parking. We were promptly greeted by a wonderful and friendly host, Jade. Their lockers are equipped with charger cables for your phones - now that is the first ! --both iPhones & Androids. Overall a solid room. I would highly recommend this whether you are an escape room newbie or an expert, definitely give this one a try!

This place was awesome! It s totally out of the way-at first I thought we were in the wrong place-it s in a very nondescript office building complex-but once inside I knew we were about to experience one of Sam Diego s hidden gems . The girl running it was super friendly and engaging and the room itself was unreal. I have done a fair amount of escape rooms and I think this was my favorite experience as a whole. It gets harder as you go along and by the end me and my wife were sweating from nervousness, racing against the clock to finish (we made it in the end ). I highly recommend to kids, adults, anyone really! Great Friday night activity.

Love the game!! We made it with 2 mins left. The host is nice and friendly. The room is clean and well decorated. The puzzles are challenging and unique!! Highly recommended for escape game lovers and also whoever want to try this kind of activity!

This was my first time doing an escape room and it was absolutely fantastic. The puzzles had just the right amount of difficulty so that they werent easy to solve right away but not impossibly hard either. I was also very impressed with their game room design and props. They definitely utilize their technology well. My group and I played the Deja Vu room and I look forward to seeing how the Arcade room turns out.

I have done four other escapes rooms prior to this one. This one was the hardest - but it is really good! The set is extremely well constructed and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The puzzles are challenging and not too easy. The backstory makes sense and is not too cheesy. Overall a great escape room experience!

We were a party of 6, and went in with full confidence. Left the room panicked as hell and asking for hints by the end. 10/10, would try the other room next time

First time doing an escape room and it was a blast and a half! The business is kinda tucked away but its worth going to. Such a fun experience. The hostess we got was very nice and interactive. The room was challenging but in a fun way. I recommend everyone try Escape Era!

My friends and I had an amazing time, and each segment had a different type of puzzle/angle. The facilitators were entertaining and quick to respond. Def recommend this place, especially if you are keen to wait out commute traffic on the five freeway in the evening.

I love the game. This is by far the best escape game in San Diego! Its very well designed game with puzzles that require lots of team work and communication. We made it out with 1:37 left and were all so excited afterwards. High recommended for all players. We cannot wait to try the Arcade game next year!

We played Deja Vu room. The puzzles were smart and fun, and the staff were nice and helpful (with hints if you want lol). We have four new-bees and almost get thru all puzzles. Highly recommended!
